The Starly were chirping. Sunflora and Cherrim were dancing, the Cherrim being in their sunshine form. It was a great day, and an even greater day for trainers just starting with their Pokemon. Trainers such as Lucas were happily walking though the forest, ready to start their adventure . Lucas took in his surrounding in a deep breath. The crisp, fresh air running though his system really felt excellent. He then realized his Pokemon should be experiencing this refreshing outdoor feeling he had. He reached into his back pocket and grabbed a Pokeball. He pressed the center button, and the small Pokeball suddenly got larger; it filled his whole hand. He then threw it into the air and Gligar was released from the small space he was confined to.
Lucas caught the Pokeball from the air and placed it back into his pocket. He then watched as Gligar flew around in the air, a big grin over the Pokemon's face. "Feels good to be out of your Pokeball, doesn't it?" Lucas asked Gligar. "Gli! Gligar!" The Pokemon replied. "I think your going to need a friend to talk to, cause I can't understand you." Lucas said in a sarcastic tone. Gligar then swooped down and hit Lucas on his head with his tail, laughing as he flew up. "But your running away! Come back down here so I can get you back!" Lucas yelled as he held his head. He couldn't help but smile as Gligar stuck his tongue out at Lucas. "C'mon, let's find some Pokemon!" Lucas yelled as he started to run around the forest. Gligar was right above him, flying.

There seemed to be a small gathering of Pokemon up ahead on the trail... none of them had noticed Lucas or his Gligar yet. They seemed to be playing tag... a Surskit, a Seedot, and a Pichu. Obviously, the Seedot was the slowest, and the Pichu was the fastest. However the huge gaps in speed didn't seem to bother them any- all of them ran around in circles around the trail and the nearby trees, giggling and yelling and tripping as they went.

Gligar stopped flying when he herd Pokemon laughter. He wondered what type of Pokemon it was, so he decided to investigate himself. He looked at Lucas for a moment, saying 'Gligar! Gli!' as if to say "Follow me!" before flying in the direction of the Pokemon noises. Lucas raised an eyebrow, then watched for a moment as Gligar flew away. Confused, he followed, wondering what Gligar was doing. "Hey Gligar, wait up!" He yelled after his Pokemon. As Gligar picked up speed, Lucas picked up his speed from a paced walk to a run. Gligar then swooped down, causing Lucas to quickly come to a stop, almost tripping over himself.
Gligar was looking at the Pokemon playing, and Lucas saw an opportunity for a new teammate. "Hmm..that Seedot could be a powerful Grass type later on in it's evolution. I think I'll go after it!" Lucas said to himself. He turned to his Gligar to command it to attack, only to find it flying at the Pokemon, wanting to play tag with them. Lucas sighed and shook his head.
"You just can't stop playing for two seconds huh?"

(By the way, you can start your EXP count now that you have 'encountered' the Pokemon. =D)
At first, the three small Pokemon were frightened by the Gligar as it swooped towards them. They knew that Gligar's weren't common residents of this forest... in fact, none of them had ever seen a Gligar before in their life. But they quickly realized that the Gligar's intentions were to play and not to terrorize, they quickly let him in on the fun. It was pretty hard for them to tag a flying Pokemon, but the Surskit was a high jumper and the Pichu and Seedot found that they could jump off of tree branches to tag the purple Pokemon. They were all extremely happy to have another playmate. In fact, they were so delighted with their new friend, that none of them noticed the trainer that the Gligar belonged to. They were too wrapped up in their game of tag.

{Sweet =D}
Lucas watched as Gligar was playing with the other Pokemon. Once again, all he could do was smile at his Gligar. It just seemed to be a fun loving, playful Pokemon that couldn't ever be brought down from it's constant state of happiness. Lucas chuckled as a thought crossed his mind. Gliscor, Gligar's evolution, is considered scary and terrifying by a lot of people. To imagine the look on those people's faces when a big, scary Gliscor comes up to you and licks your face would be priceless. At least to Lucas it would be. Then again, Lucas wasn't the nicest person around.
Gligar continued playing with the Pokemon, tagging them and getting tagged himself. Lucas slowly walked towards the Pokemon, not trying to scare them off. Especially the Seedot. That was really the only Pokemon he was interested in, although he would take the Pichu too, if he could. "Hiya! My name's Lucas!" He said to the Pokemon. He was mostly looking at Seedot, but he turned to the other Pokemon as well. Gligar chuckled, wondering how these other Pokemon were going to react to some random trainer coming in and stopping a fun game of tag.

The three wild Pokemon friends were startled by Lucas' unexpected appearance in the middle of their game of tag. The Pichu let out a little surprised squeak, the Surskit scuttled backwards a bit, and the Seedot merely turned and stared at the human boy. Then the three of them looked at the Gligar, who seemed completely comfortable with the trainer. That made the three of them relax just a bit. Obviously this human wasn't very dangerous.... right?
The Pichu was the first to react to the trainer's greeting and introduction. It hopped forward and gazed up at Lucas, and then began to speak. <Oh, hello, Lucas. I'm a Pichu. Are you gonna battle us? Does that purple flying Pokemon belong to you? Why are you here? Do you wanna play tag with us?> The small mouse Pokemon babbled in Pokespeech.
The Surskit followed the Pichu when she approached Lucas. She didn't say anything, she merely squinted up at the tall human, obviously not very trusting towards him. The Seedot didn't move- he merely watched the trainer and the Pichu with mild curiosity.

Lucas watched as the Pichu went on and on in a language he couldn't understand. He looked at his Gligar, who chuckled and shook his head. "Would you ask them if they want a battle? Mostly the Seedot, but..." Lucas asked his Gligar. Gligar nodded and swooped down from the branch he was on and landed in front of all the Pokemon. He then started explaining to them the situation, and what Lucas wanted of them.
<So, my trainer Lucas needs more Pokemon to take on the first gym. He says he really wants you, Seedot> Gligar looked at the seemingly uncaring Pokemon, then turned back to face the rest of the group. <He really wants Seedot, but he will happily battle all of you!> Gligar told them. Lucas bit his thumb as he was trying to figure out what they were talking about. Had they agreed? Would they run? What was going to happen?
<So, what do you guys say?> The Gligar asked the group.

The Seedot was obviously very surprised by the Lucas'comment. The strange human wanted him, of all Pokemon? But nobody liked Seedots. They couldn't battle very well, since the only damage-dealing attack they knew was Bide, and it was kinda hard to use that attack very well... This trainer's comment kind of made him proud. But then again, he really wasn't sure how he felt about becoming a trainer's Pokemon. Did he want to be captured, or did he want to stay wild? Hm.
The Pichu, however, was definitely very enthusiastic about the opportunity for a attle. Then again, she seemed to be enthusiastic about everything... <Ooooh! A battle sounds like fun!> She said with a big smile, hopping up and down a couple of times. <I wanna baaattle!>
By this time the Surskit had faded into the background. It didn't look vey happy as it slowly inched away.

{Lolol Surskit got ignored XD}
Lucas continued to stare at his Gligar, who was chatting with the Pichu. As he wondered what he was saying, Gligar was waiting while the Seedot stood there in wonder. When the Pichu finally spoke, the Gligar could be happier. The Gligar's eccentric attitude was matched by the Pichu's enthusiasm, and the Glgar flapped his arms and took flight in joy. His first battle would surely be a great one!
<Awesome!> Gligar yelled in the sky after the Pichu's answer. After he was finished doing acrobatic tricks in the sky, Gligar landed on the ground. <Ok! I'll battle you Pichu, and while were battling, you can decide if you wanna join us Seedot!> Gligar told the Pokemon. He then turned to Lucas. "Gli! Gli Gligaar!" That wass all Lucas heard, but between the Pichu looking like it was ready to battle and Gligar pointing at the Pichu, Lucas could tell the Pichu wanted a battle. "Alright, let's do it!" Lucas took some steps away from the Pokemon, not wanting to hurt himself in this battle. "Gligar! Come over here for a minute!"Lucas called his Pokemon. Gligar nodded and flapped his arms once more, taking flight and landing on Lucas's back; he was holding on to Lucas's shoulders.
"Alright, this is your first match Gligar! I really have faith in you. Remember to use your head too. I can only shout out attacks, your gonna have to be creative and use them to your advantage. You can do it!" Gligar smiled at Lucas's pep talk, and the two exchanged high fives before Gligar flew off of Lucas's back and landed in front of Pichu. <OK, let's go! You first!> The Gligar told the Pichu with confidence.

(xD Yup, and she's sulking, lol)
The Seedot nodded to Gligar in agreement. Watching the battle between Gligar and his friend the Pichu might help him make a decision. Perhaps if the trainer caught Pichu... Seedot thought that his little happy-go-lunky friend wouldn't mind being captured. Then at least he would have somebody he knew, right? Then again, he might decide to go with the trainer even if Pichu didn't. Oh, such a hard decision... The Seedot sighed.
In the mean time, Pichu was totally psyched for this battle. She knew exactly what she would do. She stepped towards the Gligar with a small smile and a soft giggle, fluttering her eyelids ever so slightly. She slowly waved her tail back and forth, almost like she was beckoning to the Gligar. She had used this technique in the past, and it had always worked quite well for her. It was her favorite combo- charm and tail whip, designed to lower both the attack and defense of the enemy.

As the Pichu and the Seedot agreed, Gligar smiled with excitement. Then, after the Pichu had done her little combo, Gligar was smiling at her cuteness. How could he attack something so innocent looking? Gligar stayed in his trance for a few more seconds before Lucas stepped in. "Gligar! Snap out of it and use Sand Attack! Then use Poison Sting!" Lucas commanded. "Gligar!" The Gligar turned to nod at his trainer then quickly made his move on the Pichu.
First, Gligar ran towards Pichu. Then, once he was closer to Pichu, Gligar did a front flip in Pichu's direction. He slammed his tail on the ground, causing a wave of sand and dirt to fly towards Pichu. This would lower her accuracy, and hopefully blind her temporarily. While Gligar's tail was facing Pichu, it lit up a bright purple, and small purple needs started to fly towards the small yellow Pokemon. If everything happened the way Lucas wanted it to, the Pichu wouldn't be able to see the Poison Sting coming, which would be nice. Then again, nothing ever happens that easy.
After Gligar's combo was done, he balanced himself on his tail, awaiting Pichu's next move.

The Pichu blinked in surprise as a sand attack came flying her way. She coughed and spluttered and took a few steps back. She threw a thundershock attack at the Gligar as she rubbed her eyes. Unfortunately for her, she wasn't expecting a long range attack like poison sting. It scratched her side and she let out a small squeak. However, there was some small bit of luck on her side, as she didn't get poisoned by the attack. At least, not this time! She quickly recovered from the sand attack and glared at the Gligar, waiting for its next move
The wild Seedot watched the battle with an excited expression on his face. He was almost as interested and caught up in the battle as the actual battlers were. And nobody had noticed that the Surskit had quietly slipped away... but she wasn't gone for good. She'd be back.

Lucas smirked as the Thundershock headed Gligar's way. "Stand your ground Gligar! Don't worry!" Lucas called to his Pokemon, who looked a little worried as the lightning was getting closer and closer. "Just let it hit you!" Gligar took a deep breath, and closed his eyes as the Thundershock hit Gligar head on. However, while Gligar was being shocked, he opened his eyes. The only thing he really felt was a little tickling sensation around his abdominal area, which he chuckled to. "Always remember Gligar, electric attacks don't hurt you!" Lucas called out. This made Gligar extra happy; that's one attack he didn't have to worry about.
"Now, fly up and Poison Sting again!" Gligar let out a"Gli!" before beating it's arms once and taking to the sky. While flying up, Gligar's tail lit up a bright purple once more and poisonous needles rained down on the area. Lucas actually had to step back as the needles rained down on a wide radius. The Seedot might be hit as well if he didn't step out of the way. After Gligar's attack, he stopped flying, but extended his arms. He slowly flapped his arms while in the sky, looking down on the area and waiting to see what Pichu would do next.

(xD Yeah, I always use my computer's calculator. I don't trust my math skillz, lol)
The Pichu stared, shocked, as her electric attack did nothing to the Gligar. The Seedot seemed fairly amused, however, he knew that this party wasn't over yet.
The Pichu scowled and grumbled. She really loved her electric attack. However, there was an egg move that she had that she could use. However, it was gonna be tough... it wasn't a long range attack, it was a short-range one. What was she to do? Well, first off, she had to dodge the rain of poisonous needles. She dove off the trail and into a nearby bush, which sparkled with electricity as she hid inside of it.
The Seedot grinned and backed up a few steps to avoid the shower of needles. If it was this fun being a spectator, how much fun would it be to be a participant?

Lucas smiled at the Seedot, who seemed to be enjoying watching the battle that was taking place. If things got more exciting, he knew he could convince the Seedot to join him. Gligar started at the bush from the sky for a moment, then slowly made a descent to the ground. Once landed, he turned to his trainer, who was staring at the Seedot and forgot he was in the middle of a battle. "Oh, sorry Gligar!" Lucas said, re-focusing on the battle. "Get close to that bush and use Posion Sting!" Lucas pointed at the bush and Gligar nodded.
Gligar flew closer to the bush and straightened his tail to point towards the bush. His tail then glowed, and tiny needles were flying out of it, headed straight towards the bush. He was close to it, so it would be a hard move to dodge. After he had let out a nice amount of poisonous needles, he landed in front of the bush, curious as to what the Pichu was doing in there. He cocked his head to the side at the bush and let out a small "Gli?"
