The Pichu couldn't dodge most of the poisonous needles, that was definitely true. She took a decent amount of damage, but the pain was bearable. She waited a few moments after the barrage of poison sting had ended, preparing herself. She crouched down and peered and the Gligar through the branches and leaves of the bush, and then suddenly sprang forward with outstretched paws, aiming a nice, hard double-slap at the Gligar's face. She really preffered to use her electric attack, but she didn't really have a choice in this situation. The little wild Pichu could already tell that she was fighting a battle that she was going to lose, but she might as well give the Gligar and his trainer a run for their money, right? There's no point in going down without a fight. Besides, this was tons of fun! The little Pichu couldn't help but smile as it waited for the Gligar to attack again.

"Dammit." Lucas muttered under his breath as Gligar got slapped. Twice. Gligar started to fly backwards, but used his tail to break the fall and spring back into the air. Lucas didn't know that that Pichu was special; he just figured Double Slap was a move all Pichu learn. He started at Gligar for a moment, then turned to look at Pichu. He was debating weather or not he wanted to capture it, which reminded him that he still needed to faint it first. "Gligar, let's finish this! Poison Sting!" Lucas called to his Gligar, who was up in the air once more.

"Gligar!"Gligar gave an assuring call before diving towards Pichu head first, really wanting to finish this. At the last second, right when they were both about to collide, Gligar flew up. His tail glew that same bright purple once more, and poison needles flew out of it, raining down on Pichu. Once he got high enough, he stopped shooting them out of his tail, as he didn't want them to hurt Lucas or Seedot. After his tail stopped glowing, he extended his arms and used his wings as a parachute of sorts to gently float towards the ground. He landed on his tail, and balanced himself out on it as he awaited to see the results of Pichu.

The Pichu grinned victoriously as her double slap made contact with the Gligar. Good, at least she had gotten one good hit in before this battle was finished. Her eyes widened as the Gligar flew quickly towards her. She flinched, closing her eyes and looking away, right before he pulled up suddenly and let loose a poison sting shower. It was a critical hit, and she was nearly knocked out. She opened her eyes and stumbled around a bit, blinking up at the Gligar as it slowly floated to the ground. <Ouch.> She mumbled softly with a scowl as she swayed back and forth slightly. Then she shuddered as pain coursed through her veins- she had been poisoned by that last poison sting attack. As her body had the last of its energy sucked out of it, she realized that the battle was lost, and her instincts took over. She slowly fell onto her back, fainted.

The Seedot nodded somberly as his friend fainted. He hated to see his friend lose, but had been a good battle. Then the small grass type looked from Gligar to Lucas to see what they would do now that they had a victory under their belt. And, unseen, the Surskit returned, approaching the group, walking very slowly.

Gligar curled up into a ball, shaking. Lucas cocked his head to the side, a confused look on his face as to what Gligar was doing. After a few seconds, Gligar bursted out of his position into the sky, screaming "Gliiiiiigaaaaar!" as he flew. Lucas chuckled as his Pokemon was preforming various acrobatic tricks in the air. He was obviously happy that he had one his very first battle.

Lucas stared at his Pokemon, then turned to the defeated Pichu. He then took his bag off of his back, and took a Potion out. He walked towards the Pichu, and got on his knees to take a closer look. He then sprayed the cuts and bruises that were all over the little Pokemon's body. "You'll feel better soon. Sorry if Gligar did too much harm to you." Lucas said with a smile. He then turned to the Seedot, and grabbed an empty Pokeball. He held it out to the Seedot, letting him decide. "You wanna come with me little guy? We'll have lots of fun, and you can battle with Gligar and get stronger!" Lucas said, trying to convince the little Grass Pokemon to come with him.

(I think that you can keep counting as long as your Pokemon is interacting with a wild Pokemon... I think. ^_^;

The Seedot chuckled slightly as the Gligar did a victory dance type thing in the air, and then turned his attention to Lucas. He smirked slightly as the human used the spray-medicine on his fainted friend. Well, this boy seemed kind enough. All the Seedot could do was join him and hope for the best.

The Seedot nodded as Lucas presented the pokeball to him and asked his question. Obviously he wasn't much of a talker. <Waaaiiiit a minute!> The Surskit cried, suddenly appearing beside the Seedot, who turned towards his little blue bug friend. The Surskit pushed a bunch of berries towards the Seedot. <I knew you were going to say yes, so I went and got your stash for you.> She muttered quietly. The Seedot smiled. <Thank you.> He replied, before turning back to Lucas and pushing his head against the pokeball's center button. The Seedot was absorbed into the pokeball. It hit the ground, shook once, and then it clicked, signalling a successful capture.

Lucas smiled as the Surskit brought Seedot his 'stash' of berries before he would come on this journey. The berries would surely be of some use to him, especially since the Pokemon Center was still a nice amount of walking away. "Thanks Surskit!" Lucas said with a grin, taking the berries and placing them in his bag. Lucas then pressed the center button on the Pokeball and threw it in the air, releasing the small acorn looking Pokemon.

Seedot turned to look at Lucas, blinked, then turned to his Pokemon friends. <I guess this is see you later.> Seedot closed his eyes in a happy way. <But not goodbye.> Seedot waved his foot in a goodbye-like way, then turned to Lucas. He nodded, and turned to the trail. Lucas smiled, and waved at the forest Pokemon before heading further into the trail. Gligar waved goodbye, then flapped his arms and took flight into the air. He flew past the Lucas and the Seedot as their journey continued into the Star Region, and towards their very first Gym battle.
