The Chance of a L I F E T I M E~

[Lucas Crystoff]

Lucas walked into the Star Festival, Seedot walking right beside him. He looked around, and saw an interesting Ditto game booth. He walked up to it, and the man who worked the booth told him the rules.

"Hmm..alright...I'll go with 15!" Lucas said with confidence. He wrote it on a piece of paper and handed it to he person working the booth. He turned to his Seedot for support on his decison, but he was too bust watching the people eating behind him. "God your s0 fat.." Lucas muttered under his breath.

"Very sorry my good sir!" The Man would apologize, "The number was a 69. It looks like there's no prizes this time. However, this doesn't count against you either, you still have two prizes left that you can win! Want to take another stab at it?" He asked with a wide grin.

[Lucas Crystoff]

"Aww" Lucas frowned, but clenched his fist and decided to try again. "I'll go with 55 this time!" Lucas smiled. He was sure he would be right this time. Seedot just rolled his eyes and wandered off looking for food.

"Hmm... This time it was a 74... sorry kiddo, I guess this just isn't yer day." The man scratched the top of his semi-bald head. "I don't suppose you want another go at it? Maybe come back tomorrow?" He asked. It was odd how waiting a day seemed to change bad luck... "Then again, it could be this very next time that you guess it right on the dot! How about another go?"

[Lucas Crystoff]

"No! I gotta win something! Hmm.." Lucas scratched his head. "44! I'm sure of it this time!" Lucas wrote it on the paper, and handed it to the man. He turned to his Seedot, who was nowhere to be found. "Ah, I'll get him later" He said as he awaited the results.

"Well, we're getting closer... we've got a 66." The man shook his head, not really wanting to take too much of this energetic boy's money after all. "We've still got two prizes left with your name on 'em. So, do you still want to continue?" The man asked. It was getting to the point this guy would probably be spending all his money on a game of chance that had a 30 number range on the linear scale. "So, just one more time then try again tomorrow? Don't wanna take all your money, kid. Save some for the other attractions where it's easier to get prizes!"

Lucas sighed. He was wondering what the next number would be, but he had no idea. So, he just picked a number at random, and wrote it on the paper. "25" He said, crossing his fingers and hoping he hadn't just blown his money for no reason.

"Well now, your waiting's paid off! That last roll was a 34! A whole five rare candies for you my good sir!" The man clapped him on the shoulder, thrusting the candies into his hand. "Pass 'em out as you like, but don't go over twenty or you won't be able to participate the pokemon in the tournament!"

Lucas jumped up and down in excitement. After grabbing the rare candes, he waved to the man following a thank you. He then turned around, and proceeded to look for his Seedot that wondered off to god-knows-where.
