General Appearance: 5' 1" and of lean build. Fel wears black pants and a black shirt with white trim, although most of this is obscured from behind by his mother's red cloak, passed down to Fel and acquired during a trip to Lilycove after his return to Hoenn. His shoes are also black, and resemble normal sneakers except for the utter lack of markings and are much tougher than the variety most civilians use to keep up with his life as a trainer. He also wears white gloves for when he is in the wilderness, a habit picked up from his numerous encounters with Paras' and Parasects' Effect Spore ability when looking for food, further enforced with encountering the same ability in Shroomish and Breloom. He often forgets to take them off even in populated areas, and as such is rarely seen without them on.

Personality: Fel is very energetic for his age, although he does manage to control it extremely well. He is also very intelligent, and while he is keenly aware of it he manages to avoid being arrogant about it, showing a humility rarely seen in many trainers due to the competitive nature of the lifestyle. He also tends to be extremely mature for his age, showing wisdom far beyond his years while at the same time retaining the curiosity and inquisitiveness more typical of a fourteen year old. That being said, Fel still has the iron will that sets many of the Aspens apart, and once he's set his sights on something he'll do whatever it takes to achieve that goal as long as he isn't putting others at risk to do so. He is also very considerate of his pokemon, a trait picked up from having grown up alongside his Treecko, and will rarely make any major decision without consulting with them first.

► Personality: Bred from his father's Torterra and his mother's Sceptile, Treecko was given to Fel as an egg at the age of six before he was moved to Viridian to live with his extended family during one of his mother's rare visits home back in Hoenn. Hatching roughly four months later, Treecko and Fel are more siblings than trainer and pokemon. Despite his small size, Treecko retains the spunk that the species is renowned for, never backing down from an opponent or a fight regardless of the size or strength of the opponent, and would go to any lengths it deems necessary to protect Fel from harm.

Like Treecko, it will show a remarkable will to fight during a battle, and has often used its own humble appearance to lull the enemy into a false sense of security.

History: Fel is a bit of an oddity as far as his extended family goes. Like most Aspens, Fel was born in Rustboro and grew up in western Hoenn, living in Oldale town until the age of six. Unlike most of his extended family, though, Fel's mother was a trainer, and after a few years of dating a Sinnoh trainer by the name of Jason Tham, Naomi married Jason at the age of 20 and gave birth to Fel at the age of 23. Already engaged in the lifestyle typical of most trainers and rarely staying in one spot for more than a few weeks, Jason and Naomi bought a house in Oldale in an attempt to give Fel as normal a life as possible. For the most part they succeeded save for the frequent absences that would occur when Jason and Naomi would leave for trips around the island region, spanning in length from days to weeks, although they made up for it as best they could when they were home, even going so far as to give Fel the egg that resulted from the union of Jason's Torterra and Naomi's Sceptile which would eventually hatch into the Treecko that provided Fel a companion for years. As Fel grew older Naomi and Jason began to become more and more concerned with the recent surge in criminal activity in the Hoenn region, going so far as to contact one of Jason's distant relative's who lived in Viridian City in Kanto. Fel was moved to Kanto to live with his great uncle at the age of six until the feud between the Aquas and Magmas drew to a close, the egg that his parents had given him hatching days after his arrival. While finalizing the details of their temporary change in living spaces, Naomi and Jason were still present in Hoenn when the Aquas and Magmas showed their hands for their endgame, and were killed in the region wide cateclysm caused by Groudon and Kyogre's awakening.
Fel, while briefly drawn into severe depression at the news, recovered within half a year, in large part due to the Treecko his parents had entrusted him with as well as his great uncle, who finalized the last legal details of the adoption. While Fel's adoptive father did as much as possible to emulate the normal life Fel had lived back in Oldale, too much of his parents' blood ran in his veins, and Fel frequently snuck off into Viridian Forest and Route 22 with Treecko for days at a time. As far as Fel was concerned, he didn't want to live a normal life - far from it, in fact. Both of his parents had been excellent trainers, with Jason conquering all eight of the Sinnoh Gyms and five of the Hoenn Gyms and Naomi even making it as far as to fight three of the Elite Four and win, only losing to Drake's Salamence. Fel saw following in their footsteps as the best way to honor their memory, and he intended to surpass them in his own right.
Leaving home at the age of eleven, Fel caught his first pokemon before even leaving Viridian City itself, capturing a Poliwag near where the city connected to Route 12. Greatly encouraged by the success, Fel left for Viridian forest, crossing the expanse of dense vegetation within a mere two days' time. Arriving in Pewter City, Fel's first stop after the Pokemon Center was to challenge to Pewter Gym, bagging an easy win with the overwhelming type advantage that his Water and Grass type team gave them. Proceeding to Route 3, Fel began battling several trainers, winning each fight but surprised at the skill gap between them and the wild pokemon he and Treecko had fought for years. Slowing his pace considerably, Fel spent several weeks learning the many of the finer techniques of battling as he and his team moved by Mt. Moon and onto Cerulean City, travelling north of the population center to train his pokemon for a few more weeks before challenging the Gym, eventually bagging another win through type advantage and rather unconventional tactics. Continuing west, Fel encountered and caught a Magnemite on Route 11 before travelling through Rock Tunnel and onto Lavender Town, where Fel spent another several weeks training before moving onwards again, saving as much money from each battle as possible. Moving south again along Route 12, again taking his time to train his pokemon as he moved, Fel swung west onto Route 11 to arrive in Vermillion City, challenging Lt. Surge on arrival and winning by an extremely narrow margin thanks to Treecko's Leech Seed and his and Magnemite's resistance to electrical attacks.
Again encouraged by the win despite how close they'd come to losing, Fel headed north, arriving in Saffron City and taking the Magnet Train to arrive in Goldenrod. Instead of challenging Whitney, however, Fel travelled north, bypassing the Ecruteak Gym entirely on his way to Olivine where he boarded a ship for Hoenn, intending to visit where he'd grown up and to give him a clearer sense of direction, a more definate goal besides simply challenging and defeating Gyms at random. Arriving in Slateport, Fel went north along Routes 118 and 103, visiting Oldale town and his former home to discover that his parents had left the house he'd grown up in to him in their will, along with one of his mother's pokemon, an Aron, and various other keepsakes that escaped the near destruction of the region seven years before. Leaving Oldale town, Fel proceeded to wander the region at random, eventually deciding his goal would be to challenge the regional league of a place his parents had never been before. After some further thought into the matter, Fel left Hoenn on board another ship, arriving in the Star Region on his fourteenth birthday.
