Personality: hailey's a very loud, outgoing girl. she likes making jokes, and always wants to be the center of attention. although she is attracted to muscles, she enjoys spending time with 'geeks' as well, as she values intelligence eaqually as much as physical attractiveness.
she's kind of the popular girl, but in a good way. she tries to be a role model for other people, by showing everyone that racism and discrimination are completely wrong. when she notices someone making a racist comment, she'll probably go straight to him/her and tell them to wash their mouth with soap.
even though she is mature in many ways, she still is a girly girl. she screams, makes high-pitched noises when something surprises her and takes care of her looks everywhere she goes. not a single hour goes by (except for when she's asleep or alone) that a man has not whistled or even came up to her, and frankly, she likes that kind kind of attention.
she absolutely hates drunk men. she finds them annoying, repulsive and completely unattractive. she kind of feels the same about smoking. having a sigaret or a drink once in a while is fine, but there's a limit.
she will do anything to achieve her goal, getting rid of discrimination and racism. it seems like an impossible dream and she knows that, but someone has to try to. god didn't create racism or discrimination, so there had to be a way to finally get rid of it, without murdering all racists in the world (which she has already considered). she plans on creating a world-wide organisation that can keep an eye on every place in the world, so that noone shall ever make a racist comment again. it is a ludicrous idea, but aren't all of the most brilliant ideas crazy?
she's also kind of a matchmaker, as she tries to hook everyone up, and usually, if she says that a girl/boy is perfect for you, she's right. but don't get on her bad side, because she knows everyone's dirty little secrets. she's a girly girl, and what do girls like more than gossiping?
hailey is also probably the most empathic person in the world, if you laugh, she'll laugh as well, if you're grumpy, she'll be like "awww... please cheer up hun, you're makin' me sad!" until you finally give her a (fake) smile.
hailey could thus be described as a funny, yet loud, outgoing attention whore.

History: hailey was the youngest child in a very wealthy family. she had always had everything she desired, except for one thing. the love of her parents. hailey and her two-year older brother were raised by miss sweets, that's what they called her. she always had candy in her bag. hailey missed the attnetion of her parents, but miss sweets made up for that by being the most amazing caregiver in the world. she lived with them permanently, sacrificing almost her entire life to raise jonathan and hailey.
but when jonathan became sixteen, he set off on his pokémon journey, leaving his little sister behind with miss sweets. at that time, hailey was thirteen and already in puberty. she started getting into arguements with her caregiver and one day, they had such a huge fight, that miss sweets stormed out of the house. it was raining and thundering, and hailey ran to her mother, telling her that miss sweets had went outside. her mother, working as always, told hailey that she'd be back soon, so the girl took place in front of the big window in the living room, waiting for her caregiver to come home, yet she never did.
some time later, when another caregiver had already been assigned to take care of hailey, the police knocked on the door of their mansion, and from behind the corner, hailey heard that they had found miss sweets' body under a fallen tree.
hailey packed her bags, took all of the money their parents kept in the house (which was quite a lot) and left.
she doesn't know what her parents are doing now, but managed to reach her brother by pelliper mail and she explained the situation to him. he adviced her to go back, that their parents were missing her, and that she shouldn't be too sad about miss sweets.she'd be watching over her from now on.
with that soothing thought, hailey started living to the fullest once more, and promised herself and miss sweets, that she'd do anything to help other people from now on, so that everyone could live like that. she would be the one to make an end to all the discrimination and racism, she would be the one to unite everyone. that was her dream. not to become the strongest trainer, or the best breeder/coordinator , butto actually change the world by whatever means necessary.
from that moment on, she has started reading and examining people's behaviour towards other races and even towards pokémon. according to hailey, treating a pokémon as less than human is discriminating as well. they have unbelievable powers and are possibly even smarter than humans. they should be treated as partners and equals, not as slaves.
so, she started finding people to join her in this quest. some people thought that she was insane, and at first, she became an outcast. but once more and more people started understanding her, and as she started helping more and more people, she became quite popular, up to the point where her brother even heard her name on the other side of the region. he sent her a letter, stating that he, and miss sweets were proud of her. with that, she was convinced. this was what she'd be doing for the rest of her life.
