Appearance: 6'1. 189 pounds. Caramel brown skin tone. Has a scar in the form of an "X" on both of his hands from an accident as a child. Wears gloves to cover them. Is usually dressed as a Pokemon Ranger but will change into a black T-shirt with a haunter on the back and the family crest on the front.
Personality: Cheerful and fun only outside of battle. His brother describes him as "Focused and determined when battling." Markus is dependable and reliable when helping his dad with eggs. His attitude Is somewhat moody when he is thinking. He doesn't get angry unless someone talks about his mom.

History: "Nightmare" was born on October 31 on a Breeder Farm just outside of the city. His mother and father run a breeding farm and daycare for trainers and gym leaders. Markus has 2 other siblings, both older and not home as often as his parents had liked. One was his sister, Abigail, Who had left the Star Region in hopes of becoming a Top Co-ordinator just like their mom. The Oldest Boy, Richard, had gone off to see if Lance, The Champion Dragon Trainer, would train him and his partner gible. One day a strange man came to the daycare. He insisted that his dad turn over all rights to the farm and daycare to him. His father and mother refused. The man challenged them to a battle using his Hondoom and Haunter. His father used his partner Swampert and his mother used her Haunter as well. The battle was tough but his family won! But it came with a price. His mother was injured in the battle and had to be sent to the hospital. She died a few days later. When the funeral was held her haunter vanished, leaving only an empty pokeball. Markus is setting out on his adventure with the hope of finding the man responsible forhis mother's death. He also wants to win the League Championship and become an Elite 4
