Even though her pokemon had become stronger, Kira knew they needed more training if they were to win their first Gym-badge. Sakura was a fire-type which was a disadvantage because Kira had heard the Gym-leader would have at least one water-type pokemon. Which pokemon it was, was still a mystery to Kira, but she knew she would have to think carefully. Sakura was her best pokemon for now, and she wanted it to keep that way, so even though she knew there would be a water-type in the Gym, she still wanted to use her starter pokemon. But who else should she use? Kira didn’t know how many pokemon she was allowed to use in the Gym, and since she neither knew of the Gym-leader’s other pokemon, it was best to get all her pokemon on her team in good shape. And where was better to get fit than in Sakura Forest?
It was early morning, the sun had just risen, and some mist still hung in the air as Kira went through the forest. The mist didn’t affect Sakura so she went beside Kira. Besides, it was only on rainy days Sakura wanted to rest in her pokeball. And it was also nicer to walk beside someone instead of walking alone. Even though it was early morning, both Kira and Sakura felt fresh. The cool mist cleared their minds and trainer and pokemon walked side by side, talking about anything between the Earth and sky.

At one point in a time a Pokemon existed, one that lived in an area called Sakura Forest. This area was just as its name suggests, and it was a pretty good area to find Pokemon like the one that lived here. This Pokemon was of a strong descent, all of its ancestors were owned by brutal trainers that fought and won. However, when this Pokemon was born with a weak right arm, it appeared it had very little hopes, so it was abandoned into this little area. This Pokemon was strong though even with the lack of power in its right arm, which was really a shame. The Pokemon currently was whacking away at a tree with the log in which it carried in its singularly useful left arm.
Timburr stood there, seemingly exhausted seeing as how this tree was stronger than it had originally seemed to be. Timburr turned around and began to walk away in dislike, quite made at itself that it had not been able to kill this thing. Lacking the use of a right arm was terrible, it was like losing half of your body. Seeing as how arm strength was everything to the likes of Timburr and their evolutions. However, it would appear Timburr made up for it with left arm strength most of the time, but it wasn't exactly the same. Being injured sucked, and don't let anyone tell you differently.
While Timburr was walking home when it saw a trainer. The trainer looked strong, and had full use of all of its limbs. This angered Timburr, for anyone that had full use of everything they had intimidated Timburr. It made him feel lesser, like a fool compared to others. Timburr wanted to use its only good arm to throw that trainer into a brick wall. Timburr began to walk out into the sight of the trainer with its right arm dangling loosely. Timburr yelled out, "Hey you! Get outta here, this is my forest!"

The sound of something that moved towards them made Kira and Sakura stop up. Then, only a few meters ahead of them, a little pokemon appeared from… wherever it had just been. Kira had never seen a pokemon like this one before so she wanted to take forth her pokedex but was stopped because of the sound emerging from Sakura. She’d barred her teeth like a mad dog would have done it when being enraged and it looked quite scary to see that expression on a horse’s face. ”You think you’re something, huh? I’ve fought bigger smartasses than you, so don’t you dare tell me what to do without showing some respect,”
Sakura spat at the Timburr. Kira looked like a question mark. The wild pokemon had clearly said something with its strange noises, but of good reasons Kira couldn’t understand it. Sakura could, and she didn’t like to be commanded around by some little punk. Kira quickly got some information about the Timburr from her pokedex where after she put it back in her pocket. She didn’t know what the Timburr had said, but it didn’t matter much. It looked like it wanted a challenge. ”Sorry Sakura, but against this fighting-type, I’ll use another pokemon than you,” she said, determined, and picked a pokeball from her belt. Sakura was the strongest pokemon on her team, and she also wanted it to be that way. But this was a battle for someone else. ”Mai, I choose you!”The little, bouncing pokemon emerged from her pokeball in a flash of red light. It was the first time Kira should use her Spoink, and since Mai was a Psychic pokemon, she had a type-advantage. Which would be pretty good since it was their first battle together. It was first then that Kira noticed that something looked strange about the Timburr’s right arm. But maybe it was nothing… Mai was constantly bouncing on her grey tail, waiting for an order to obey. Sakura finally relaxed, this wasn’t her battle. She would have to wait. ”Okay Mai, let’s go straight ahead with this and use Psywave!” A sound which reminded of a giggle emerged from the little pig and then some psychic waves flew through the air, aiming for the wild pokemon. The Timburr was not really sure as to why it did what it had did, but it had just felt right to get mad at the Ponyta for being better than it as far as terms of being able to use all of its limbs. It was degrading, it was terrible. It made you feel like a piece of crap to be like Timburr. But Timburr knew that it still had some of the fighting capabilities in which would make it a strong fighting Pokemon and give it the ability to get the heavy hits it would need to stand a chance gainst this Pokemon that appeared to be owned by the trainer Kira.
As the Ponyta retreated Timburr screamed out, "GO JUMP INTO A DITCH AND BURNNNN... BURRRNNNNN ALIVEEE!" It would be pretty hilarious if this Timburr died and haunted Ponyta, then we would have a really cool film that although predictable, would be pretty popular because M. Night Shaylaman would emerge with Michael Bay in attempts of making a scary/action movie. Timburr watched as something smaller and less threatening appeared, but the move it had used on the fighting type was quite devastating to the small Pokemon. It would have pointed at the enemy, but in its operational arm it carried the heavy piece of wood it carried with it, and the nonoperational just hang there lazily.
Timburr charged forward at the enemy with a want of revenge for that heavy hit and the Ponyta's actions, attempting to whack at the enemy with its piece of wood in which it carried with it at all times. The Timburr was using the move pound, but it would appear it was using the move, "Get-smashed-by-a-piece-of-wood"
(I got off topic... a bit.)

The Timburr was hit by the Psywave-attack and this had definitely enraged him. As if he hadn’t been that from the beginning. Why the wild pokemon was so angry was a mystery to Kira, but that didn’t matter right now. She wanted to fight it and catch it when possible. Also even though he couldn’t use its right arm.
”Mai, quickly, jump into the air!” Kira shouted to the Spoink as the Timburr ran towards her pokemon, wanting to smash the log into Mai. The Spoink bounced even higher than before, dodging the log with only an inch or two. It was really a good thing that she had such a strong tail – otherwise she would’ve been smashed to pieces at that moment. As she landed on the ground, she quickly distanced herself to the enemy. That seemed like the best thing to do even though her attack would make more damage on close range. But the Spoink knew as well as Kira that this pokemon was very dangerous to stand too close to. Maybe he couldn’t use his right arm, but he’d just showed that he was dangerous anyways. ”Be careful Mai, and use Psywave-attack again!” It was the only attack Mai knew and she wouldn’t learn another useful move before level 14.

Timburr had thought that it was almost guaranteed a hit with the piece of wood in which it carried, but it found out that things don't happen that way. The Pokemon was agile enough to jump high enough to dodge the Pound attack. Timburr had almost fell flat on its face from missing the attack while moving at such a speed. Timburr turned around on a dime, pivoting around to see the Pokemon in which dodged its Pound attack. Timburr was hit by the enemy Psywave again, which did another amount of massive damage, hitting heavy on the fighting type Pokemon.
"You stupid clown, dodging is pointless! I will come out victorious, whether you want me to or not!" Upon these words the Timburr ran forward with all of the speed it could build up, attempting to use the same routine it did last time. As the Timburr neared the enemy Pokemon it swung at it with it's piece of wood it used primarily as a club, using the move Pound on the enemy. Although Timburr was losing this battle and had received quite a bit of damage it showed no outer signs of letting up, although the inner signs were doing nothing short of building up with every hit.

If her arms had not been so short, Mai would have clapped her hands together in a little applause. Her second attack had hit the wild pokemon and she could not help but to feel victorious in this battle. Kira sure knew how to boost up a pokemon’s confidence in a battle. But the trainer could not prevent the bad words coming from the other pokemon’s mouth – and the fact that she could not understand the fighter-type did not make things easier for her. The Spoink frowned at the Timburr, and with doing that, got a displeased expression on her face. ”I’m not a clown, and you’re not going to win this, I am!”
While emphasizing her point, she tried to point at the Timburr and thereafter herself with one of her small arms. Her voice was light due to the fact that she was not very old yet. Kira still did not know much of what was going on between her two pokemon and the wild Timburr. She only understood her own two – Sakura could speak out loud while she heard Mai through her mind. But what mattered most now was, that the Timburr again aimed for Mai in a furious attack. ”Mai, dodge the attack!” Kira shouted to her little pokemon, but it was already too late. The wood the Timburr carried with him collided with the Spoink in a Pound-attack, making her fly through the air and was only stopped by the tree she was smashed into with her back. Kira felt like something was clutching her stomach. The Timburr was strong enough with only one of its arms working optimally. ”Mai, get up! Come on Mai, you have to get up!” The grey pokemon lay on her stomach, trying to get herself up by using her tail and arms. Her body hurt. Her front because of the Pound-attack from the Timburr, and her back because of the stupid tree. After a few tryouts she came up on her tail again, bouncing, but not as eagerly as before. Kira could see that her pokemon would not do well if she was hit by the log too often – wonder why? – so to stay distanced to the Timburr was the best plan she had for now. Unless Mai was able to get closer to the Timburr without being hit herself. That would be risky, but maybe worth it. EXP: 399 Spoink: level 8! [/blockquote]

Timburr was proud of itself for being able to use Pound and hit the Spoink. Even better, the enemy Pokemon smashed against a tree, which did even more damage to it. And to top it off, it fell to the ground and could hardly bounce any more. Timburr was glad that it had been able to do such damage to the enemy, for although the enemy had more experience than it, Timburr had a very high attack stat and could hit quite heavy on opponents. Timburr backed up slowly with the heavy chunk of wood still in hand. For an injured Pokemon it sure knew how to attack heavy.
However, it could not receive damage well, even less so due to the vulnerability of its arm, and the fact that most of its attacks were made with an extended reach wood chunk. All of Timburr's combat trainer was with this chunk of wood, so without it it knew very little combat skills, however it would not be useless if it were to lose the log. Timburr was anticipating an attack, however it did not receive one. So instead of sitting there waiting for a very hard to avoid ranged attack that the Spoink used, he charged and attempted to use Pound on the enemy.

The wild Timburr did not spend much time on waiting. When Mai did not choose to attack him, he chose to lead the battle with another Pound-attack. ”Mai, don’t let him hit you again!” Kira shouted to the Spoink. Mai dodged the Timburr’s Pound-attack but her body was still aching from the damage of the hit which the wild pokemon had given her just before. But she dodged the attack and turned around in the second Kira shouted “Psywave!” and aimed for the enemy. He would have to pay for what he had done just before – and for his behaviour which in Mai’s eyes had been very rude. She would teach him not to be annoying, yes she would.
After having aimed her Psywave-attack at the Timburr she turned around again to bounce away from the enemy. She wanted to be in a safe distance – to be hit by that log was an experience she did not want to try again! She wanted to kick his stupid piece of wood away and scream into his head, telling him how stupid he was. Mai was absolutely sure that the fighting-type would be useless without the log he carried around with him – she did not want to realize that the Timburr’s Pound-attacks would be strong even though he did not have his weapon.

Timburr had made the attempt at hitting the enemy with its log again, however this attempt proved unsuccessful as the very first Pound had. Oh great, maybe this was a pattern, maybe only every other log would hit. Timburr cursed under its breath lightly, knowing that it didn't have many more of those in it. Especially since this thing had the capabilities to blast the crap out of Timburr, while showing little signs of exhaustion from the move in itself. Pound weakened the thing a lot, but this thing was quicker than the Timburr, for sure. Then again, Timburr had to carry around a giant chunk of wood around with it to be as useful as it could possibly be.Timburr was hit by the Psywave, falling to the ground in pain from the attack. Timburr groaned lightly as the attack did much damage to the Timburr. Timburr set its piece of wood to the side for a second. "You scared to come near me? Be a real Pokemon and fight me close range!!" Timburr almost screamed the final sentence. "Can't beat me without your little master there guiding you through every bit of it, eh? I understand, if I were as weak and terrible as you I would allow myself to be used by a foolish master...."
Timburr got to its feet, having very little energy left to continue this fight. Running forward almost awkwardly the Timburr made an attempt to swing its log at the enemy. However, by now the Timburr was so dazed and hurt that the attack was about a foot away from the enemy when it swung. Unless for some reason this Spoink jumped toward the Timburr. I'm assuming that's highly unlikely.

She turned around again as she thought she was on a safe distance for the Timburr’s log. She stuck out her tongue and answered the wild pokemon who now had put his weapon aside for a while so he could concentrate on blaming her for not being a real pokemon. ”I fight as I want, and I want to be guided by my master, because she’ll also be my friend. And with a trainer, I’ll become much stronger than if I tumbled around on my own like you do!”
Kira – still now knowing 100% what was going on between the two pokemon – could see that Mai’s Psywave-attacks was making the wild Timburr slower and weaker. But that did not mean she could relax, because he could still cause some serious damage on Mai if he came too close. She would not recover from the damage she had gotten from the Timburr before she could be cured on a Poke Center. Kira wondered whether she should throw a pokeball right now of if she should wait. She did not want the Timburr to flee from the battle – but by seeing the anger in his eyes, Kira guessed the pokemon would continue battling until he wouldn’t be able to stand anymore. Basically, he looked just as stubborn as the Oddish she had caught. This one was just stronger. And her assumption about the pokemon’s stubbornness then showed. The Timburr tried to attack again, but a lot of strength had now left his body. It seemed like the waves had dazed him so he couldn’t focus as well as before. This was only a positive fact because Mai now looked very tired too, like her body hurt too much from the hits she had gotten. Her attacks might be super effective on the Timburr but they would now be less damaging due to her own tiredness and the distance. But Kira would let her attack once more in the hope that the Timburr soon would fall. ”Mai, one more time, use Psywave-attack!” she called to the little pokemon. The pink pearl on the jumping pig’s head shone and more physic waves aimed for the Timburr. EXP: 362 Spoink: levels up to 10! Learns Odor Sleuth! [/blockquote]

Timburr listened closely to the enemy Pokemon speaking in return to its insulting of the Pokemon. It was tired, and this Spoink was to. The battle was oddly close, but going in a way toward the Spoink in which could repetitively use super effective move on the Timburr. Timburr had quite a bit of health so it was able to receive these hits one by one, however this Pokemon was bound to reach an end very quickly. The first and foremost sign was the most basic, the fact that it was dazed and hurt enough that it failed to hit the enemy by quite a bit.
Timburr now was watching before him a Spoink preparing to use the move psywave. "I already told you -- victory will be-" Getting cut short sucked. Sometimes when phones do that it just aggravates you, but when going unconscious interrupts you from finishing your sentence, then some things need to change. Like, I don't know, your choice in when to talk. Or maybe you could stop getting beat utterly destroyed by Spoinks? I don't care. The Timburr couldn't get up, and it was over for the Pokemon.
(Did you want another Pokemon after that?)

The Timburr was interrupted in his sentence when the Psywave-attack hit him. It looked like the pokemon was not able to get up, so now was the time for Kira to throw an empty pokeball at the wild pokemon. She took one from her belt and threw it in the Timburr’s direction where it landed on his head, and then opened to take him inside in a flash of red light. As she waited for the pokeball to stop rolling from side to side, Mai still jumped on her tail. The little pokemon had to admit she would be happy for the battle to end here. Sakura stamped in the ground with a hoof, waiting for the result as well. If Mai could not take up the fight if the Timburr should get out of the pokeball, then she was more than ready to take the Spoink’s place in the battle.

The Pokeball hit the fallen Timburr and bounced off the tiny Pokemon. As it was about to hit the ground from the recoil it shot out a ray of light in which Timburr was engulfed. After a second the light had dissolved into the Pokeball, Timburr along with it. The Pokeball hit the ground, and bounced a bit. The Pokeball rocked once, showing very little signs of a struggle from Timburr, although it rocked anyway. Once again, the ball rocked. And yet again, the ball rocked. However, instead of swinging into yet another rocking motion, it stopped. The Pokeball let out a ding, signifying the capture of the Timburr.

”Wauw, you did it Mai!” Kira exclaimed as she had caught the Timburr. She ran to the little pokemon and embraced her, ”you did so well,” she said. The Spoink smiled and tried to embrace her trainer back though it was not easy with her short arms. ”I’ll make sure you’ll be treated well at the Stormcloud City Pokemon Center, but for now some rest in your pokeball will have to do until we get to the city.” She rose from the ground, took Mai’s pokeball and called her back. She had done well in the battle against the Timburr.
She went to the pokeball with the Timburr inside and squat down in front of it. ”You did well too.. But I think you’ll need another trainer than me. I’ll probably trade you with some other trainer in Stormcloud City – one who can take good care of you.” She talked to the pokeball as if the Timburr inside it could hear and understand it. She did not know if he could. She picked up the pokeball and fastened to her belt before she turned to Sakura. ”We’ve just left the city but it seems like we need to head back. Both Mai and Timburr are very tired now.” Sakura nodded and they turned around and went in the direction of Stormcloud City.
