As soon as his trainer confirmed an attack, the Mukrow aimed for Sakura in another dive. He opened his beak to let out the screeching sound. The sound from the dark-type move was piercing but Kira was determined on getting a good hit on the Mukrow. She just needed him to be close enough so he could not dodge. But most of all, she needed Sakura to focus. Otherwise, the attack would fail and even though Sakura was in a higher level than Mukrow, Kira knew the Ponyta would not last for much longer in a battle against a flying pokemon – they were not used to that kind of battles, and it had not been a good move to choose Gastly, even though he could fly, because the Mukrow’s dark moves had been super effective on him. So you could say Sakura had a disadvantage since she had to stay on the ground most of the time to avoid a blow from the Mukrow.

”Sakura, focus on the Mukrow! Don’t let the sound put you off guard,” Kira tried, but Sakura had a hard time focusing. She stood her ground, because Kira had not told her to dodge the other pokemon’s attack, but it became harder and harder to concentrate while standing there without an order to follow, listening to the piercing sound. As the Mukrow came closer, it became harder to listen to her trainer’s words, but suddenly one word echoed in her mind, making the Ponyta narrow her eyes and look directly at the Mukrow. The word had given her an idea in less than a second and with a heavy snort she cloaked herself in a shield of fire and just before the two pokemon collided with each other, Sakura jumped forward in a U-turn to dodge the attack, then quickly aiming for the Mukrow as he still was diving downwards, determined on forcing him down to the ground in a Flame Wheel attack.
