Dono was unaware of how he got here, he decided to be dumb and not follow the path back in Sakura Forest and the previous town. That led him absolutely no where, he didn't know where he had been. He just walked and walked, hoping that maybe he would find something. Honestly, the area wasn't too confusing he just looked for some sort of path or walkway to show him that he was in an area that was once traveled. He didn't care, he just wanted some sort of notification that he wasn't walking to the end of the world over here.
Oh look! Dono's walk became a sprint as he saw a path. He ran up to it, panting lightly. He looked up and saw a lake. He hadn't even noticed this before, for he was hardly paying attention. He had been looking in the opposite direction, for he had that instinct that the path would be over there. Good work Dono, your instincts are unsatisfactory. Dono began following the path. Dono already came to the conclusion that the path to succeeding in this region was simply that, follow the paths. Now, maybe if there was a region where being a screwed up little human being was the key, he would succeed. But no, apparently you have to be a Pathfinder.
Dono dropped a Pokeball to his side, the side closer to the lake. Tympole burst from the Pokeball and flopped around unsteadily beside him. "You could get in the water..." Dono said blankly. This Tympole was odd, it liked flopping around in the grass better than jumping into the water just a few feet away from it. What a joke. Dono then spoke, "Keep your eyes open for any Wild Pokemon, that's what we are here for, after all." Dono kept walking, Tympole flopping alongside him.

A wild Horsea appeared!
Pokemon: Horsea Type: Water Level: 6 Ability: Swift Swim: When rainy, The Pokémon’s Speed doubles. Sniper: Power of critical-hit moves is tripled instead of doubled. Attacks: Bubble, Smokescreen
[/center] Tympole would have been glad he didn't hop in the water, as that particular patch of water had been claimed with a certain Horsea. And she wasn't very friendly. Little red eyes peered out from beneath the water's surface, watching as the trainer and his pokemon passed. Fearing they would try and take her patch, the little Horsea stuck her trumpet like nose out of the water, shooting a jet of bubbles at the tadpole pokemon, as a warning to back off her turf. Dono continued walking, just thinking to himself in a bored manner as he waited for the next town or some people to show up. Also, his eyes shifted around the area hoping to maybe spot a Pokemon of some sort to add to his very small team of Pokemon. Simply a Buizel and a Tympole wasn't going to cut it, even though they were both fairly strong Pokemon. Suddenly he turned to his side to see a stream of bubbles. The bubbles were headed straight for his Pokemon! This was serious! The bubbles hit the Tympole, and had a very vast effect.
It was vast damage, and the Tympole fell to the ground from the hit. Then... it bounced back up. Yeah, the move did indeed do damage but the Tympole didn't really react that well to getting hit. Dono was about to open its mouth and give a vocal command on how the Tympole was to retaliate, when all of a sudden the Tympole shot a stream of bubbles back at the enemy in retaliation. The bubble surely wouldn't do much either, but they wouldn't be completely useless. Dono mentally face palmed and decided to think of something else to do.
Perhaps he could attack with a Sonic Boom, and see how effective that would be. Then again, such a tactic would be agressive and would not really show the effectiveness of Tympole. It was to Dono's best interest that this Pokemon be a supporting time role, yet still have the capabilities to attack as part of its supporting routine. So attacking head on over and over wouldn't really show Tympole's true potential for what he would be used for at later dates in real trainer v.s. trainer battles. So he took a separate approach from what he would have done if this was his favored Buizel.
"Tympole, use Growl!" Dono had said to his small little Pokemon. Tympole dove into the water, hoping to get closer to the enemy. So this thing only went into the water during battle? That would be a slight inconvenience. Tympole moved around swiftly in the water, less awkwardly then it had above water. Tympole growled with great expression at the enemy in hopes that it would lower its attack.

Horsea was quite proud of herself, watching as her attack hit the Tympole square on. That would teach him and his trainer to crash her party. Relishing her victory prematurely, she remained with her head and nose above the water and didn't have enough time to react when the Tympole leapt back to his feet, shooting a flurry of bubbles back in her direction. A few floated past her, popping in the air while more burst in her face. Startled, she fled back from the edge of the lake. The damage was not significant but the attack had taken her by surprise, disorientating her.
Horsea sunk beneath the surface as the Tympole slipped into the water. Both pokemon were now in their element which would make for an entirely different battle. The sound of the growl vibrated through the water, reaching the Horsea, causing her to stumble in her thought process, distracting her and so her resulting attack was weaker than it perhaps could have been. From her nose, she ejected a smokescreen, but as the black smoke hit the water it began to dissolve, turning the immediate water black in colour, completely obscuring the Horsea from view. The benefit of expelling the smoke into the water was that it quickly reacted, covering a vast in black in seconds but as the water molecules rearranged and moved, the smokescreen would dissipate much faster than usual.

A battle under water would prove interesting, and would show how diverse this thing really was. Although, Dono thought it would be pretty hilarious watching this thing battle on land. But he was just weird like that. The bubble attack had successfully hit the enemy, but did very little damage. If it was his choice he would have used Sonic Boom and then growl, but this Pokemon would much rather retaliate without a single command and attack out of pure instinct. It was very unintelligent to do so, especially since Dono usually would hurt his Pokemon for not obeying, but right now he was focused on capturing this Horsea for himself.
Now onto how he was supposed to that with this new Tympole he knew little about. Well, he supposed that perhaps he should attack and do some damage. Oh wait, there is smoke there now, slightly inconvenient. However, he really didn't care. Tympole was going to attack whether he liked it or not. Tympole began swimming around in a circle impatiently. Dono sighed and yelled out, "Tympole, Use Sonic Boom!" Tympole stopped swimming the endless circle and opened its tiny little mouth, shooting a burst at the enemy, using Sonic Boom. Whether or not the move was even relatively close to the enemy was beyond Dono, but whatever.
As the smoke began to clear a little bit, he could see the Horsea a little bit clearer. The smoke did not clear completely though, so its view was not too fantastic just yet. Dono then yelled out again, trying to get this Horsea in a position where he could test Tympole's strengths and weaknesses, "Sonic Boom again!" Tympole swam very swiftly to the right, and as it was moving quickly and shot the Sonic Boom. The move blasted smoke out of its way faster, and made a clear whole in the dispersing smoke cloud.

Horsea had tried to remain as still as she could within her cloud, swimming as silently as she could as not to give away her movements. Now she had to quickly formulate a plan to end the Tympole once and for all. The smoke began to thin but already the tadpole was chancing his luck. She felt the sonic boom ripple through the water. The first attack passed through the smokescreen, pushing some of the black out of the way but not clearing it completely. She felt the boom rush passed her ears, just missing her as it was a little off to the side. The trailing end just clipped her tail, pushing her body slightly out of the cloud, a small patch of blue noticeable to Tympole.
He wasted no time in attacking again, shooting another sonic boom directly at her. The blast cleared the smoke, obliterating it completely leaving the seahorse no place to hide and the blast hit her dead on, knocking her back through the water. She broke with surface with a splash, then falling back below with a plop!. Shaking herself off, she managed to regain composure but she felt weaker and tired. Mustering her strength, she swam rapidly towards Tympole, weaving back and forth as she went to avoid any projectile attacks. She didn't slow as she approached, pushing in to a closer range before releasing an explosion of bubbles almost in front of his face.

Plop. Well that interesting enough. Dono really liked this Tympole, it showed almost as much strength as his Buizel did, but in a way was far from the "weapon of pure manslaughter" he considered Buizel, although it itself was far from that. Dono used Buizel for all of his thefts and such, and it would seem that it never left its side. Perhaps this Tympole would be a suiting alternative in battle, although as far as stealth acts it would probably be left out. Same went for this determined little Horsea out in front of him. It had the fighting soul of seemingly every other Pokemon out in this region, and definitely wouldn't be worthless.
He sat down against a tree that was relatively close to the path and the water. He could see the battle decently good from this angle, as well as his Pokemon. The Tympole continued to move around swiftly in the water, readying itself for whatever was to come. Soon a Pokemon swam up to it and blasted it with bubbles, which got all up in Tympole's face, doing decent damage as they popped. That bubble was more irritating than useful, and it made Tympole want to retaliate with the same annoying move. Which, being an ignorant little Pokemon, it did. Tympole shot a steady stream of bubbles.
Dono face palmed again, but this time physically. What was this thing thinking? Did it want to be killed? It was a joke, this Pokemon. He hoped that this Horsea would be more obedient to him, instead of acting out of rage. Dono stood up slowly and said out to his Pokemon, "Tympole, don't attack without command or else your life will be undesirable." Dono spoke with honesty and coldness in his words, hoping to scare this Tympole into listening properly next time. Tympole nodded lightly and looked onward.
Dono yelled out to the Pokemon, "Tympole use Sonic Boom!" Tympole began swimming to the left and downward until it was quite deeper than it had been been before. Tympole then shot the Sonic Boom in a long range manner hoping to hit the Horsea from right there. They weren't that far apart, but it felt like a long way away to the tiny little Tympole.

Her own bubbles were combated with another flurry of bubbles from Tympole. They were both trapped in a cloud of bubbles beneath the surface, that popped all around them and in their faces. She was still trapped in the popping bubble mine field that she didn't notice the Tympole disappear beneath her, heading down deeper into the water. Not being able to see it, she had no chance off avoiding it. The sonic boom ripped through the water, ctaching her from underneath, propelling her up through the water. She broke the surface with speed. "'seeeaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" she wailed, as she flew through the air, eventually coming to land with a thud on the dry land of the bank. Lying on her back, her head was spinning and all she could see were stars before it slowly began to fade to black as she slipped into unconsciousness.

Tympole was quite happy that it had hit the enemy from this range, especially since it was such a low level compared to a lot of other Pokemon this region. Dono was also pretty impressed, although it had not seen much. All he was seeing at the time was a boom going through the water at a very fast speed. The attack hit the enemy, and it was propelled out of the water. It landed on the bank and it nearly scared Dono to death. Dono sprang backwards out of sheer shock and yelled without thinking "Kill it now! Kill it!" Dono had said this more of a shocked expression rather than an actually screaming with the scared-ness. He quickly realized the mistake he had made.
Quickly, Tympole sprang from the water next to where the Horsea had landed in the bank. Tympole shot a Sonic Boom in mid air at the enemy just before it had landed on the grass a few feet away from Dono. Moving quickly yet somewhat awkwardly, Tympole moved its way over to the Dono. Dono chuckled lightly to himself as he looked upon the Horsea. Dono grabbed a small little Pokeball from his pocket and looked forward. He was glad that this had been an overall success, for he really had hoped that such a success would occur. Tympole did its job just well, but perhaps a little more training for the little fellow would be necessary. Dono wound back and threw the Pokeball at the fainted Horsea in hopes that it would catch the little pest that had once claimed this body of water for itself.

The pokeball struck Horsea, engulfing her in a flash of red light, sucking her into the pokeball. It fell to the ground, settling in the grass. It rolled once, shaking uneasily before settling again. A second time, it rocked before becoming still. It ceased to move and there was a click of the pokeball.
Congratulations! You've caught Horsea! Stats are a few posts up.
From the bushes that lined the path, a pair of small brown eyes watched the trainer and his pokemon capture the Horsea. It was well known that the Horsea was a abit of a grouch but she was quite tough, and if this trainer and his Tympole could capture her, maybe they could help! "Hey, you there!" whispered a sweet, girly voice to Tympole. "You have to help us!" she squeeled. Slowly emerging from the bushes was a young Bunneary.
Pokemon: Bunneary Gender: Female Level: 6 Ability: Run Away: Except for trainer battles, can always run from battle. Attacks: Splash, Pound, Defense Curl, Foresight, Endure.
"He's coming for us!" she squealed, obviously in some sort of terror from something. The sound of quivering could be heard in the bushes and several more Bunneary's peered out from the bush. "Help us, Help us!" they chanted to the Tympole who had just shown his battle skills. The leader of the Bunneary warren shrieked, pointing and diving behind Dono's leg, clinging to it in fear. "It's him!".
Manifesting in front of them, with a horrific ghastly shriek, was a much larger than average Duskull, with eyes of glowing red. The Duskull was the self proclaimed boss of the Crystal Lake path. Even worse than the Horsea. She was only grouch, like an old neighbour who didn't like when you kicked your ball into their garden, but the ghost was down right nasty, angry and would attack the weaker pokemon without reason. He would terrorise them and something needed to be done.
Pokemon: Duskull Gender: Male Level: 13 Ability: Levitate: Damage dealing Ground-type moves have no effect on this Pokémon Attacks: Leer, Nightshade, Disable, Foresight

Dono's eyes looked forward with a slight smile on his face. When it made the ding noise he began walking toward the Pokeball slowly. It was very awesome that he had been able to catch the Pokemon and it would surely make a fantastic addition to his team in the later parts of his adventure or even now. Dono turned to hear a small voice making some odd noises. He could not understand the words because of course they were spoken in Poke-language and and just sounded like a Pokemon saying its name rapidly. Of course, that's really all it was doing. Suddenly the tiny little Bunny Pokemon sprang out and held on to his leg for its life. Dono sighed lightly and looked upward, unaware of what this thing wanted. Tympole looked at the Buneary, understanding it to a basic extent, knowing what it meant in all. Tympole really didn't have any means of communicating to Dono, but it made a squealing noise. Dono looked back to the Tympole in a sort of scornful look, but when he turned around to see what now was in front of him he got the basic idea of what was going on around these parts.
Dono looked to Tympole who had been very little weakened by the trials of the previous battle, and it would seem that it wasn't really at any loss to battle off this Duskull. Dono really wasn't sure what to do, for the thing in front of him was giant and looked like it was about to kill something with its bare hands. Of course, that could have very well been the case. But Dono's main concern at the time really wasn't the size of this monumental beast in front of him, it was the fact that its "type" was Ghost. Tympole at its current level in development knew only one non-normal move at this time in its development. Of course that singular move was the move Bubble, which would do very little damage although it did indeed have the Same Type Attack Bonus added to it by Tympole.
Tympole looked pretty confident, which was good, but this Buneary lacked any sense of confidence at all. Dono said to the Buneary, "If you or any of your buddies around here could help me in this battle, it would be much appreciated." He knew that Buneary was a normal type so it probably couldn't help much, but if it could give some type of support to Tympole it would have been useful. Dono knew that he always had his alternative, Buizel. Buizel would only be used if he felt it completely necessary in this battle, for he really wanted to get in some training for Tympole. If Tympole were to get near fainting/faint, then he would simply swap the Pokemon out for another and get on with the battle. Actually, the Pokemon would have to be Buizel since the Horsea that now lay in his Pokeball was unconscious. Dono decided to start the battle with an experiment. Yeah yeah, pretty stupid fighting against something that has a good chance of winning yet still just experimenting.
Dono yelled out, "Tympole, use Growl!" Now, Dono wasn't sure if since the move growl was technically a normal type move if it would effect a Duskull. But he didn't really care, things like this he thought would matter later on in his training career, and taking loses and here and then at a lower level didn't matter to him. However when he got up there in experience, when he was an elite level trainer, he would never want to lose. He knew things would have to change as he went through the life of a trainer. Tympole did as told and growled loudly at the Duskull.
Next, Dono yelled out to his tiny little Pokemon, "Now use Bubble!" Tympole generated little suds inside of its body. Somehow Pokemon like this had some sort of bubble bath stored in a special gland in there body or something. AND they also apparently had a filter in their throats that could make the bubble bath into bubbles as they were released, AND made it clear like it was just normal water. Tympole shot a flurry of bubbles at the enemy, hoping to do some (not much) damage to the Duskull.

The Bunneary didn't understand what the trainer was saying to her, but she wanted to help the Tympole. "Let me help you!" she squeaked to the tadpole, hopping out from behind the trainers leg. Maybe she help support, even if it wasn't much. She raised her stubby arms to her head, eyes closed, concentrating hard. A purple aura began to form around her paws. The glow began to dissipate from the rabbit, slowly forming around Tympole. Foresight. The attack would allow normal type attacks to hit the ghost pokemon, if only for a short time. Hopefully that would increase Tympoles number of attacks enough to defeat the ghost. Worried the Duskull might attack her now, she slipped back behind Dono.
Duskull began to get angry and pumped for battle. He floated forward, in time to intercept the growl attack. The growl struck him and he felt his power drain a fraction, but no matter. He had powerful attacks, confidence and a rage that would compensate for the growl, so he wasn't worried. A large pair of red eyes formed behind him, to match his own. Leer. Retaliation for the growl, he was hoping to lower the already tired pokemon's defense. This time, he wasn't going to sit out the attack. As the bubbles floated towards him, he began to shimmer, slowly fading out of site, avoiding the bubble attack. He began to reform, coming into view behind Tympole. A flash of purple sparked from the Duskull, shooting towards the baby frog, spreading as it flew to engulf him in a nightshade attack.

Dono looked down to the Buneary at his feet, which was quite annoying that it felt the need to stay down by his feet at like, all times. But it was using him as a shield, and if it did indeed remain useful and he caught the thing after the battle, it wouldn't be completely useless. Tympole had successfully shot out the bubbles at the enemy after successfully growling. Dono looked down to the Buneary again, which was now using Foresight. Dono honestly didn't expect Buneary to make such a helpful move as to use Foresight like that. The move could greatly effect the outcome of this battle, especially since the Tympole now knew the move round, which did about double the damage of STAB-ed Bubble.
Dono had thought that the bubbles hit, but a second look told him otherwise as the Duskull had vanished completely as the bubbles were to hit the Pokemon. Dono looked around for the Pokemon but after a quick few seconds he spotted the Pokemon directly behind him Tympole. Dono said out to his Pokemon, "I believe it is right behind you..." He said dully to his tiny little tadpole Pokemon. Tympole turned around to be hit by the Night Shade square in the face. Luckily, the base damage of the attack was not that high seeing as how inexperienced Tympole was, but it still would be relevant seeing as how this Pokemon outmatched Tympole in stats.
Tympole got to its ... er.. feet slowly and looked at the enemy. It had been effected by the previous leer done by the same enemy Pokemon, which lowered the effect of Tympole's defense, which in a way just canceled out the usage of his growl. Hopefully the leer would have taken out some of the energy in Duskull as well, since using moves did indeed take out some energy from within the Pokemon. Dono knew that Tympole learned a new move, so he figured it would be time to try it out. He was unaware of what effect the move would have, but he knew it would inflict damage and would be a normal type attack.
Dono yelled out, "Tympole, use Round!" Tympole got up in Duskull's face and attempted to use... Round. (I don't know what the attack looks like or is). Then, the Tympole backed up slowly from the attack, getting some distance between him and the Duskull. Dono then said again to his Pokemon, "Tympole, use Bubble and retreat into the water!" He would use the water as temporary cover, for it would be harder for him to get hit in the water. As the Tympole reached the edge of the water he shot bubbles off at the enemy.
(Sorry the ending seems rushed, I am supposed to be watching a duo of brats...)

ooc. sorry it's taken so long. my exams are all done now though =) I'm not sure how round looks either, serebii says its a song, so we'll just roll with it.
Duskull had let his guard down momentarily, reveling in a premature victory as his nightshade attack swept over Tympole. The attack from the Tympole was one he'd never experienced before and therefore hadn't been expected such a strange attack. Tympole used round, and the screeching noise of the song speed towards him, bursting its way through its tiny ghost ears. The song was excruciatingly painful, a high pitched and horrible screeching that burned in his head, causing him to recoil taking damage. The mood of the Duskull had soured completely and he was even angrier than before. With an eerie elegance, he swept to the air to the water where the frog type was now taking cover. The flurry of bubbles shot at him from the lake, popping around him. The damage was not particularly astounding but nothing rivaled the annoyance of the bubbles popping all up in his grill. He was going to put an end to it once and for all. In a split second, there was a blinding flash of light engulfing the lake. Disable.. Hopefully the light would disable the tadpole pokemon's ability to use that incessant bubble attack from the remainder of the fight. Summoning the energy, he fired another blast of purple nightshade directly down into the lake, hoping to hit his opponent but the glare from the sun reflected back from the water, blinding him and his accuracy.

Dono's brown eyes shifted from Tympole to the Duskull in a slow way. This thing was annoying, and catching it would be a challenge, and not one that would be overcome with mere simplicity. However, Dono didn't expect such easiness in his battle. He was anticipating the power of this Duskull, and it would definitely show throughout the entirety of the battle at stake at the current moment. Dono wasn't worried for him or his Pokemon at all. Nor was he for the Buneary. Even if he thought himself to be at risk of damage, he would not spare a thought to the Buneary in which had some capabilities but was definitely not the most important addition to his team. Dono eyed the Buneary passively.
He had no clue of how he was going to catch the little thing, it was helping him to an okay extent, specifically with the move in which allowed Round to hit the enemy. But beating the crap out of it after it helped him seemed slightly necessary. Hopefully it would go with him without a struggle, so he wouldn't be forced into such high extents as beating the Pokemon to a pulp. Dono spoke in a low tone to the Buneary, "You probably can't understand me too well but.... do you have any real talent in battle?" Dono wasn't angry, but he spoke as if he himself was better than the Buneary. Dono didn't expect an answer he could answer, nor did he guarantee himself a response at all. He talked to himself a lot, and he talked to the Buneary in the same way he spoke to himself. A sort of degrading way, not a way to keep your self esteem up.
Dono shifted his eyes away from his own personal problems to a separate thing, a certain thing including a Tympole and an insanely strong Duskull. A flash of light was shot from the Duskull, which would disable the usage of Bubble. If this thing were to truly be intelligent it would have attempted the same move during Tympole's Round. However, more than likely the Duskull did not know these things. Such as the power of Round, or the power of Bubble. Dono had displayed very little to this Duskull thus far, so it must have been making assumptions, acting upon pure instincts. This was good, for nothing is better than a Pokemon making uneducated guesses on how to win. Made everything a little bit easier.
Dono spoke out loud to the Duskull, being an annoyance like he always was, "Perhaps you might need some guidance...." Dono's smile grew wider. Tympole turned to look at Dono, getting hit by the Night Shade in the process. Tympole rolled across the ground, then got up to its upward position. Dono looked at the Tympole. Tympole had no clue what the boy meant by "guidance" but it sounded cool when Dono said it. Of course it did, Dono said it. "Re-educating Pokemon to a useful state is easy..." Dono continued slowly, hoping that Duskull might absorb some of this and get more angry from it. "You just have to whip them into shape, guide them into a better form... doesn't sound hard, does it? Oddly, it would be easier if someone over there wasn't having some angry problems." He chuckled lightly. "Also wouldn't hurt if you laid off the food a bit. Stuff like that usually indicates some sort of weakness or fear..." Dono didn't get his facts from anywhere. He made the up, in the moment, for the sake of his insults.
Perhaps he was correct though. However, he really didn't have any evidence to the obesity of this Pokemon. He just though it looked sort of round, built is the word. So, he said what came to mind, made sense, and would anger this Pokemon. Dono then demanded his Pokemon to use growl. Tympole growled loudly at the enemy, hoping to lower its attack power. All the attacks of this Pokemon were devastating, so all the attack lowering he could do would be beneficial in the end. Dono thought about in his mind for a minute. Last time he gave the Duskull a few seconds to do whatever it wants, it disabled his last move. Would it be worth it to risk the use of Round? Tympole had previously been in the upright position at the top of the water. After it finished the move it hopped out of the water.
Dono decided that it would be a decent idea to make the attempt of using Round. He was unsure as to whether or not normal attacks would still work on the enemy, but seeing as how he had no other options, he figured Round would be the most appropriate decision here. Dono commanded his Pokemon to use Round, "Tympole, use Round!" And Tympole immediately nodded its.. well, entire body. The Pokemon then prepared itself for doing whatever Round looked like, and then commenced using the mystery attack.
Word Count: 875 (Round is going to annoy me lots lol)
