ADOPTING <3

This would be the second time that Sunny had come to the adoption centre. The first time, she had adopted a shy little Sunkern, who now has blossomed into a loving Sunflora, albeit he was still quite shy and wouldn't battle. And now she had decided that perhaps it was time to adopt another pokemon. With a large farm, she had plenty of room to give another pokemon a home and plenty of money for the adoption fees.

She knocked on the door gently, pushing it open. "Hello..Zay. It's Sunny, do you remember me?" she called with a smile, waving to the centre owner at his desk. "I'm looking to adopt again.." she said to him, though her attention was caught by the pokemon. She took in each of them. They were all cute in there own way but she felt her heart melt when she saw the little blue ball of blubber. She's sooo cute! "Could I adopt this adorable little Spheal? Oh please..."

Zay's day wasn't going too smoothly. Nobody had adopted in weeks, and the mood around the center wasn't very uplifting. Many of the Pokemon started having doubts that they would ever get adopted, which made them lose lots of self-esteem. They would start to walk around the center with the saddest faces, and not even Zay could cheer them up. However, after Sunny entered the center, everyone's faces perked up with joy.

The air around the barn was suddenly uplifting, and Pokemon started dancing for joy and playing with each other, each one hoping that maybe they would get adopted. Zay smiled at all this, as it was the first time in weeks that the Pokemon had been so happy. "Of course I remember you! You adopted the shy Sunkern." Zay replied, shooting a smile right back at Sunny.

He then noticed that Sunny had taken a liking to the Spheal, who was extremely excited that he might finally get adopted. He chuckled at Sunny asked for the Spheal. "Yeah, he's available. I'll hafta charge you 500 for him though." Zay replied to Sunny's pleas.

She was quite glad he remembered her. "He's doing wonderful. Actually, he's a Sunflora now" she said, beaming from ear to ear. Blue eyes peered around the room. She had decided on Spheal but as she surveyed the room, she couldn't help but feel sorry for the other pokemon. Many of them had been here a long time and she only wished she could take them all home.

Something moving in the corner caught her eye. A little brown creature, with a cute pink nose. She seemed to be upset, withdrawn into the corner away from the other pokemon. Poor Swinub, Sunny thought to herself. She didn't know if she was allowed, but it was worth a try. A lot of people didn't like Swinub, thinking they were ugly. "Zay, could I take Swinub aswell? I'll give you $1000 for them both?" the young breeder proposed.

Zay's expression was a shocked one. She actually managed to get the secluded Sunkern to blossom? That was a feat not even Zay could accomplish. This breeder was something special in his eyes. Anyways, when she asked for the Swinub as well, Zay became very delighted. "Of course you can!" Zay said with excitment. Two Pokemon in one day? He knew the drought of adoptions would have to stop eventually, and today was that day. "That'll be 1000" He told Sunny.

"Thank you so much Zay" she smiled. She could just give him a great big hug! She approached the desk, pulling her purse from the pockets of her dress. "Here you go.." she handed him over a pile of notes totally $1000. A bit more than she had intended on spending today but it was worth it. "Don't worry about the pokeballs" she smiled, heading back to the pokemon. Kneeling to the floor gently, she scooped up the Spheal and Swinub into her arms, cuddling them gently. "I'll see you again, have a good day!" she called back from the door, before leaving with her new pokemon.
