Kari couldn't believe that Scott had led her out of Sakura Forest and to the Adoption Center. She just couldn't believe it. Maybe he was trying to tell her something, like how he thought she needed more Pokemon. That was kind of insulting. She had him and Shanouk, though the lazy, under-motivated Slakoth would probably get her killed in battle more often than not. Right.
Kari locked her hands behind her back to avoid touching anything that was in a cage, or toddling about, as a Teddiursa was doing. Scott seemed intrigued, and the normally all about biting Pokemon crept forward cautiously, peering at the cute little baby bear Pokemon.
Now Kari couldn't contain herself.
"Scott, it's just so cute! Don't you dare bite her. She's just adorable!"
Fawning over the little Pokemon, she almost didn't notice her starter creeping sideways to her until she felt his mouth closing on her calf. He didn't bite her hard, just gave a little squeeze.
"What? Oh, okay, I see."
Scott waddled to the counter, looking up and not blinking as he waited on his trainer to make her way over, holding the cute little Teddiursa in her arms now. She put the little Pokemon on the counter and gave the bell a little ring, looking excited. The Teddiursa was so cute! And it was even holding onto her shoulder with one paw to keep from falling! Aw!
