lord beelzebub has never seen a soldier quite like me not only does his job, but does it happily Wednesday very much hated all this leg work. She was a highly educated and incredibly rich woman and yet she was reduced to trapsing through the desert. A scowl was plastered across her face and she kicked up sand with each step. But at least she was doing something. The Order had been lacking in...well, order, lately. With the change in leadership, nothing had really happened. So this outing was probably the first in a long time she had to do something and hopefully the start of many. Nox, the head catcher and a few other members had left on a mission, which she had chosen to pass on this occassion. The three of them would be capable of anything, and she herself had pokemon to train. The desert also provided a rich haven to bring in pokemon for her team and the order, of which she wouldn't have to go through all the hassle of snatching. Such an effort.
The desert was calm, the sand was still and there was little movement of pokemon. Wednesday trudged her way through the same with a scowl, the same expression matched on the face of her Houndour, Jericho, who padded heavily, kicking up sand with her paws and stuffing her nose in her pile, behind every rock, furiously sniffing out a pokemon to fight. Jeri, as she was affectionately named much to her disdain, was quite an aggressive dog, much more than any of the woman's other pokemon, including her incredibly headstrong and boistrous Koffing. Unfortunately Jeri lacked in experience when compared to SIR so this would be a decent opportunity she hoped for the Houndour and hopefully her Abra to get some much needed practice before the serious Order missions began. The thought of Nox and his team mocking Wednesday and her partners for being weaker was out of the question.
ooc. I'm looking to catch a pokemon or two and then just train. If anyone else wants to battle, just post and I'll accommodate you. My pokemon are 5-12 in levels.

Little Jericho had stuck her nose in the wrong place this time. The aggressive dog had just put her nose into the next stand of rocks, and a hand shaped like a glove, and black in color, shot out from the rocks. The Makuhita made an attempt to grab the Houndour.
The little yellow Pokemon came out of his little rock cropping, hands up and ready to fight. He stood there, using Focus Energy.

lord beelzebub has never seen a soldier quite like me not only does his job, but does it happily The houndour yelped in surprise, as the hand shot out from the rocks, grabbing her around the muzzle. But almost instantly, the yelped turned into a deep growl, emanating from the depths of her chest. The initial shock had worn off, replaced by an rage. Her normally black eyes began to glow a vibrant, pulsing red and she glared at him with an angry leer attack while she was still in range. Jeri took a step back, pulling her muzzle free from the hands of the Makuhita. Breaking into a small run, she put a few metres between her and the fighting type, her stance ready to attack.
Wednesday's attention was caught as the dog yelped and she whirled around to see the Makuhita. While Jericho's attitude was beneficial, especially for a pokemon that was part of the Order, she was always getting herself into situations much sooner and less well prepared than her trainer would have liked for her. Hopefully she would grow out of it while still retaining her ferocity. Her hand curled into a fist in the excitement of finally having a battle for the first time lately. "Alright Jericho, let's go for it. All out!" she ordered. While the Makuhita could be a powerful pokemon, she didn't really think he was the pokemon for her, and so they could focus solely on the battle rather than trying to catch him. This first battle would give the dark type some experience and a warm up before they went catching.
"Go Jeri, use ember!" the trainer ordered, and Jeri complied immediately. The dog thrust her head back, flinging it forward with fire bursting forth from her mouth, the embers shooting forward towards the charging Makuhita.

The leer attack did its work, effectivly making the Makuhita look away, looking more than a little nervous. The Pokemon, however, knew that his best bet would be to attack. And attack he did. He started into a headlong run, rushing to use Tackle even as his opponent fired forth the flames of an Ember.
The male couldn't veer out of the way, and instead burst through the flames, gaining a burn in the process. Well, that would leave a mark, but hopefully he would land this pumped up Tackle for a little bit of payback. That would be nice.

lord beelzebub has never seen a soldier quite like me not only does his job, but does it happily "Don't let your guard down, Jericho" Wednesday ordered. "Meet him head on with a faint attack!" she shouted. But it seemed the Houndour had different ideas. That was the main issue there was to be had with the Houndour. She was an incredibly powerful and determined pokemon, skills which were highly sought after in battle, but she was also highly disobedient, getting cocky and doing things her own way. Instead of attacking with a faint attack, she stood her ground, continuing to shot flames from her mouth. She hadn't expected the stupid Makuhita to keep coming. The tackle attack landed head on, punching the dog just under her chin, knocking her back a few metres.
Shaking it off, Jericho got back to her feet, glaring intently at the fighting type. At least he sustained a burn in the process. Her mouth fell open in a toothy grin as she watched the skin of his arm turn red and slowly begin to blister. Thrusting her head back, muzzle pointing to the sky, she let out a long howl attack. The victory howl, complete with energetic tail wagging, raised her spirit and energy, increasing her attack power as she looked back to her opponent, target in sight. Wednesday mentally face-palmed herself. This dog was beginning to be more trouble than she was worth. And there would be no luck getting her money back from the farm, so she was stuck with her. And they were going to be stuck outside all day at the rate it was going to train Jeri in any sort of obedience.
"This time use faint attack!" the purple haired woman barked to her pokemon and Jericho complied. The black dog broke into a run, head down and determined. Her paws collided with the desert sand in heavy thuds, carrying her swiftly across the ground to the Makuhita, fangs bared ready to attack the pokemon head on.

Well, the tackle had landed and smacked the pup right under the chin. Score one for Makuhita! He flinched as the burn hurt him, and he took a step back from the happily howling canine.
In the next second, however, she was rushing at him, head on in a Faint Attack. The Makuhita widened his eyes, kicking up sand in a wild, desperate Sand-Attack. The pup's attack landed, still, and he rolled backward, letting out a small yipping sound.
That silly little dog. Makuhita pushed himself back up, panting. He endured the next round from his burn, and then charged forward again to Tackle Jericho.

lord beelzebub has never seen a soldier quite like me not only does his job, but does it happily "I'm fed up for you messing around, Jericho" scolded Wednesday. That pup was too disobedient. She should have had this battle won by now and instead she was messing around, playing games with it. She had to admit the power of the houndour was impressive but she needed to harness that power into direct, killer attacks. She needed the houndour to be cut throat in battle. "Finish it, Jericho." she ordered, her eyes cold as ice.
The houndour rushed at the Makuhita. The sand attack he kicked up stung her face, getting into her eyes. Irritated, she shut her eyes, shaking her head wildly back and forth as she ran but was moving too fast to stray off her attack, her faint attack still colliding with the fighting type pokemon. Her opponent rolled backwards, giving her some time. She frantically pawed at her face, trying to brush the sand from her eyes, hoping to regain some division before the next attack. Wednesday shook her head, sighing. She'd never learn. There was something to be said for tactics in battle, that the Houndour hadn't acquired yet. She would need to learn to think on her feet, to dodge and weave and move and not blindly run into attacks. Thankfully the burn was taking affect on the Makuhita and hopefully Jeri would finish him off in the next turn or two. There were other pokemon to train and she didn't particularly want to be out here all day. "Give him another Ember, Jeri" Nes ordered.
As he rushed her, she made a leap to the left, hoping to miss the brunt of the attack, her paws sliding in the sand but she stabilised herself. Twirling round to face him, she thrust her head forward, shooting a ball of flames from her mouth, the embers racing towards Makuhita. Combined with the burn, hopefully this fiery attack would be enough to finish him off.
