Scary Lab? Yes.

The place was positively deserted...its really creepy in here actually. Of course he had to be brave...had to be brave! But why did they have to make labs so scary!? Okay maybe he was overreacting a little bit but today was a special day so he was excited.

The blonde boy slowly walked forward into the main part of the lab, gulping nervously...what if no ones here? Or worse...what if a ghost is here! Casso had told him the place looked like it might be haunted...maybe he should just go back home without a Pokemon? Though if he did that his sister would tease him about being a scaredy cat.

The blonde sighed as he nervously began to spoke. "Hello...?" he said a little shyly, really hoping someone would answer...someone of the alive variety! He really didn't want to have some ghost or something come and get him...his sister had told him the stories about what happened to those kids...never seen again! Thus strikes the gullibility of the young boy.

Well didn't he look familiar... His sister had not been a success, but perhaps he would be! Ralts had spotted his new pray, and he intended on succeeding this time! Teleporting from his current position, he suddenly reappeared in front of the young boy, throwing his arms out widely to startle him. If only a sound accompanied the gesture, and it would be complete. But the silent pokemon said nothing.

"Coming!" Just as Ralts appeared in an attempt to scare the young boy, the Professor appeared from the back room behind her desk in time to witness the event.

Koru fiddled with his fingers while he waited, a little bit...well on edge if you get what I mean. The boy didn't expect some little Pokemon to just appear out of nowhere and surprise him...even if it didn't say anything. The boy's body flinched, a yelp escaping from his throat as he fell on his butt in surprise.

The boy didn't have time to get up before the woman said something, that she was coming was all but...that was it. The boy sat there on the ground in front of the little Ralts, his breathing a little enamored...the creature's little thing worked on this twin. The boys breathing slowly started to come back down after the shock of the incident.

ooc. sorry this has taken so long. just gonna jump in here and keep things moving along for you.

Professor Storm's hand slapped her forehead, shaking her head in desperation. That Ralts was always causing trouble. "Come back here, or I will return you to your ball, and you dont want that" she warned the psychic type, brows furrowed into a frown.

"I'm really sorry about him" the woman apologised, striding forward to the boy. "Let me help you up.." she offered, extending a hand to grab him and pull him to his feet. "I'm Professor Storm, the resident professor of this laboratory. I'm guessing you're here for a pokemon?" she questioned, cocking her head slightly to the side. "Ofcourse you are, there's little reason for you to be here otherwise. A few questions and we'll be on our way. Firstly - are you a breeder or a trainer?". Both breeders and trainers gained their pokemon out of this lab. While a trainer would receive one pokemon of their chosen type, a breeder would receive two of a certain type or egg group. "Secondly, did you have a particular type or group in mind? I can offer you pretty much anything except dragon types. Unfortunately they are becoming rarer and rarer to give out as starters"

The boy tilted his head as the woman came down and she threatened the evil creature that had scared him! It was truly pure evil! I mean it just tried to scare him...it was as bad as his sister...the only difference is that it didn't try to dress him up like a doll! The boy looked up at the woman apologizing for the creature, letting his lips curve into a smile to shrug off the fear he had just felt. The boy gingerly took her hand to aid himself up in getting up.

When the boy was on his feet the woman started to ask a serious of questions...some of which she actually answered herself. 'What was the point in asking them then...' the boy thought to himself. The blonde tilted his head as the first question she didn't answer she expected him to answer. The boy of course answered studiously. "Um...I'm a breeder..." the boy said, his breath and voice returning to normal.

The next question was something about a particular type of Pokemon. The boy tilted his head as he wondered what types he liked...then she said something about dragon types. The boy wrinkled his nose as she suggested them...only she said she couldn't offer them. He didn't really like dragon types. "Um...I like...Electric types...and sometimes Dark but mostly electric..." he said positively.

ooc. I accidently closed the window of my first post, so this one is a little lazier cause I had to rewrite it, sorry.

"Follow me, let me see what I can do for you" Professor Storm motioned with a wave of her hands for the boy to follow her. At the end of the wall there stood a wall, lined from the top to bottom with shelves, each filled with hundreds of pokeballs. Flicking a switch, a robotic arm slid up and down the rows, collecting pokeballs. Returning them to the woman, she tossed each of the balls on the ground in turn and in a flash of red light, six pokemon appeared infront of them.

"Firstly I can offer you a pair in the human shaped egg group. A male electabuzz and a female Cacnea. She'll evolve into the dark type Cacturne."

"Next I can offer you a male pikachu, in the fairy and ground breeding groups and a female Emolga. Isnt she cute? She's in the ground breeding group also."

"This last group again are part of the ground breeding group. A male Eletrike and a female Shinx."

"Do any of these take your fancy?"

The blonde boy looked at each Pokemon separately, mentally putting them together afterward. This way he could outweigh the idea of having one select breeding group or the possibility of having two separate groups for a head start. The boy tilted his head, he didn't take as much time as his sister had apparently...who had pretty much refused everything she was offered. The boy pointed to the Pikachu and Emolga. "Those to are good," he said with a smile. Well...that was quick and painless wasn't it?

"A wonderful choice!" the Professor squealed with delight, clapping her hands. With a small click, a red beam of light shot from the pokeballs, returning the unchosen pokemon back to their balls. Slotting them back in the machine, she let the robot return them to their place. Returning Pikachu and Emolga, she handed the two pokeballs to Koru. "Here you go!

Stepping away from the wall, she walked towards her desk. Rummaging in the top drawer, she pulled out a small bag of items. "Here you go. You'll find all the items you need to start your pokemon adventure" the professor offered, handing him the bag. "I guess that's all you need. I wish you the best on your journey and hope I'll see you again sometime. My contact details are in there should you need to get in touch for some reason."

Koru smiled as the Professor handed him the two Pokeballs. The woman when on about the items he would need to start his journey. Some kind of strange red device...a Pokedex or something like that and some other essentials for raising Pokemon. The boy nodded as she mentioned she added her contact information in with the items.

The boy put the Pokeballs in the bag she had given him, slinging it over his shoulder. No doubt he would go home quick to meet up with his sister before they left on their journey. The boy looked up to the Professor, letting his arms slide to his sides. The boy bowed to her,"Thank you again." The male rushed out of the lab after that...it was still kind of creepy after all...ah the energy of youth.
