You're lost. It's easy enough to tell, said Misdreavus, her voice speaking into Nekrus's mind. He would have given her a snappy response if she wasn't right. As it was, he ended up simply staying quiet besides a mutter under his breath and then continuing forward. Misdreavus let Nekrus know that she was amused by laughing into her Trainer's mind. Nekrus shut his eyes for a moment, trying to control his annoyance, and then continued moving forward. Again. If you weren't so stubborn, I could help you get through the forest. There's no reason for you not to accept the help of your own Pokemon, Nekrus, said Misdreavus. Nekrus, however, was too prideful, having grown up among Pokemon. He'd become one of the kind of people that loved to do everything on his own, without any help. At times, though, that was a major hindrance.
"Just stop bothering me, Misdreavus! I know what I'm doing, even if you think that I don't! That is that! Now let me concentrate!" growled Nekrus. Misdreavus gave a sigh, but didn't reply with words, obeying her Trainer's command for silence instead. For once, anyways. Nekrus gave a sigh of relief, and then concentrated completely on figuring out where he was. For yes, he was, actually, lost. He simply didn't want to admit it to his Pokemon. Ahead, he saw a bit of light, and, thinking he'd found a way out of the forest, grinned and increased his pace. "What did I tell you? We've made it out of..." Nekrus stopped speaking as he found himself walking out into a clearing, instead of leaving the forest. Cursing his luck, he pretended that he'd never spoken, although that was hard to do, with Misdreavus laughing in the background.
"Well, I suppose that this is as good a place as any to take a break. We've been going nonstop for a while, so we should rest while we have the chance," Nekrus called back to Misdreavus. She gave a mental agreement, and then moved over to a large, shady tree in the middle of the clearing, the only one inside of it. Although she didn't technically need it, since she was a Ghost Type, she still liked to act like she did. Nekrus smiled lightly, and then joined his Pokemon at the tree, sitting down and leaning against it. He shut his eyes, just to rest for a moment, but then found himself slipping into sleep in the calm afternoon...

Resting in the tree just above the Misdreavus was a one and a half foot, fifteen pound Pokemon. He was large for his species, this Centipede Pokemon. Unlike the rest of this species, this male was not territorial and vicious. Where as others would have already attacked, he was keen to sit and watch. His attcks wouldn't do much good against the other Pokemon anyway.
The mostly magenta Pokemon peered down from his limb, antenna swept forward. He was in no danger in his current resting spot, at least not now.
A wild Venipede appeared is above Misdeavus!
Species: Venipede Gender: Male Level: Six [6] Moves: Defense Curl, Rollout, and Poison Sting Abilites: Poison Point and Swarm
Notes: Sorry, it seems rushed and is so not my best work. I think I just have a marked lack of any sort of muse right now. :c

We have a guest, Nekrus. The words burst into the Trainer's mind, startling him from his sleep. For a moment, he was angry at the sudden wake up call, but then his Pokemon's words were processed within his mind, and so he looked up, seeing the Venipede above them. What luck was this? Not two days had passed, and he'd all ready found himself an opponent! Grinning in excitement, and without a single thought, Nekrus shoved himself to his feet and backed away from the tree. So we're going to attack, huh? Fine by me. I do enjoy a battle from time to time, especially since its been so long since I've participated in a single one. What shall I do, Nekrus? asked Misdreavus, already before his Trainer, ready to move. He smiled at her easy readiness, and then turned his attention back to the position of the Venipede. Up in the three. That was perfect. It wouldn't be expecting a sudden attack, especially not up there. "Misdreavus, use Psywave!" commanded Nekrus, a wild grin upon his features. Misdreavus gave her Trainer a nod, and then spun towards the Venipede. With a small intake of breath, Misdreavus opened her mouth, and a psychic blast shot towards the Venipede in rings. Around the Wild Pokemon, leaves were blown away, and the branches began to somewhat vibrate. He wasn't sure how much damage the Venipede had taken, but it was still up there, so it wasn't too much. Raising an eye, certainly impressed by that fact, he began to plan out his next attack. Psywave was the only offensive attack that Misdreavus possessed. That was both good and bad, depending on perspective. Nekrus was, at the time, on the bad side of it. "Dang it... if that Venipede is stronger than you, Misdreavus, then we just have to hope that an attack or two that it has won't effect you. Normal type moves won't work against Ghost Types, and Ground Types won't work against you because of your Levitate ability..." he muttered, his voice strained with anger. "Ok! If this thing is strong enough to withstand your attack... I really don't know what to do but use it again and hope that the second time around it will do more! Misdreavus, go again! Use Psywave!" commanded Nekrus. Misdreavus gave a mental affirmative, and then shot up into the air, where she turned to face the Venipede, now wielding the higher ground. She opened her mouth, and the waves of psychic energy shot forward once more, the rings striking the Venipede and the tree it was on. He couldn't yet tell if the Venipede had moved out of the way, and if it hadn't, what damage the attack had done, so he waited, ready to move at a moment's notice if he needed to. Grim determination was upon his face. He wouldn't lose his first battle. Such a thing would be far too pathetic. "Misdreavus... get in closer and let me know if the attack hit. I want to know the result now, and not later, in case later is too late. Go!" growled Nekrus. Misdreavus let her Trainer know she would obey, and then shot down towards where Venipede had been before the attack had hit. The dust had yet to settle, so he waited for word from Misdreavus. He was in no danger in his current resting spot, at least not now. The Venipede watched as the Misdreavus moved. He brought his head up a little, staring almost intently at the Pokemon.
Psywave? The Venipede jump/slid off of his branch, the attack missing him by maybe three inches. He did a flip in the air, rolling up into Defense Curl as he bounced across the ground. The trainer was suddenly angry. What had Venipede done to him? Just been sitting there, not doing anything to his Pokemon.
Another Psywave came bursting at the coiled Pokemon. He was glad he hadn't uncurled yet. The move hit him, but it wasn't to the extent of knocking him out. Not yet at least. He unrolled as Misdreavus came closer, spinning around to point his stingers at the Pokemon. Poison Sting would do the trick, right?
Rollout would fail miserably on that Ghost type anyway. Word Count: 156 Notes: Heh, sorry for the two day wait, but here's Venipede. I like Venipede.

One of the attacks had hit. He could work with that! A wide grin spread across Nekrus's face, but it was dashed a moment later as the Venipede used Poison Sting. That move could and would effect Misdreavus. "Dodge the attack, Misdreavus, quickly!" boomed Nekrus. Misdreavus attempted to weave out of the way, but the attack clipped its lower body, sending the Pokemon into a downward spiral from which it quickly recovered. Nekrus raised an eyebrow; it had good aim. It'd make a good addition to the Trainer's team. Nodding appreciatively at the Pokemon's strength, he moved onto his next attack, now ready to have the Venipede on his Pokemon team. "Misdreavus, use Spite!" barked Nekrus. Misdreavus opened its mouth, and energy suddenly seemed to begin to emanate outwards from it. The energy enveloped the Venipede. Nekrus nodded in satisfaction as the move drew to a finish; Now, the Wild Pokemon's moves would have half a chance to fail in even working. "Misdreavus, get high up in the air to increase you area of effect with your moves!" bellowed Nekrus. The Pokemon obeyed immediately, shooting farther up into the sky. Since all of its attacks involved some sort of spreading of the range in them, the farther away from the target, the better chance Midreavus would have of striking the other Pokemon. "Misdreavus, now, use Psywave!" Nekrus yelled up at his Pokemon. Misdreavus cried out its response, her voice carrying down to her Trainer. Then a blast of psychic energy shot down towards the Venipede. As she used the attack, Misdreavus also flew back down towards Venipede, so that the attack would be spread outwards, but as she grew closer, would grow more precise and powerful, as long as she stayed on target, and as long as the other Pokemon didn't move out of the way. But nothing ever went as planned. He just had to hope that this time, it would. Word Count: 337

Venipede's Poison Sting had hit home, maybe not where he wanted it to, but it had hit. He was feeling pretty confident about this, and used Defense Curl as Misdreavus used Spite. His attacks might have a higher chance of failing, but at least his defense would be higher.
The oddly large Pokemon uncurled again, stretching as he looked up at the other Pokemon. Her attack came shooting down. The wider range attack was going to hit home, but Venipede began to move away from the attack, scrambling so that the closer range wouldn't hit. He was turned away from Misdreavus, so as the attack came to a, for him painful, close, he used Poison Sting again. He curled up into a ball, taking a chance now to breath again. One more attack like that and he was going down, no matter how high his defense stat was.
