Finally! [Finished]

Many people had seen Adele meandering about the halls in the palace. It was really nothing new. Of course, when her green eyes suddenly went sharp, as though she was coming out of a sudden trance, the tables were turned. The black haired woman swept her hair up into a sudden bun, turning an about face. Her green eyes narrowed slightly as she set course for the Pokemon Lab. Why she still didn't have a Pokemon, Amelia would never know, but now she would.

She did not pause at the doors, throwing them wide open and standing in the room, hands on her hips.

"Hello? I'm here for that stupid starting Pokemon that I haven't gotten yet! I want a...uh...hmm?"

The sharp eyed expression died out, and Adele looked around in confusion. The brash voice was replaced with her little, soft voice in the next few seconds.

"Sorry to barge in like this, but, uhm, I'm here for my starting Pokemon, I guess. Uhm, I'd like something nice...not really a battling Pokemon..."

Adele dropped her eyes to the ground, shuffling her feet. She smoothed the fabric of her dress; green, black, and white; and peeked up through her hair.

Dr X almost jumped from her seat as she heard the doors swing open, crashing against the wall. Phobetor, her Alakazam, who was sitting lazily by the desk, leapt up into action. His spoons began to glow with a purpley aura. The same psychic glow formed around the doors. Using his powers, he slowed the doors, moving them slowly back to their normal closed position before the woman could cause anymore damage to them. He didn't say anything but he stared at her with narrowed eyes.

"There's no need for that, there are plenty of pokemon here" weakly smiled the professor as she got up from behind her desk. The woman looked to be a few years older than the Dr, her jet black hair and sharp green eyes was a contrast to her own blonde curls are pale blue eyes. She was quite an intimidating woman, to say the least. Concerned this could get ugly, the shadowy figure of her Gengar began to appear hovering over her shoulder.

Her sudden change in attitude was a shock, but she seemed to much prefer this new character to the woman's dramatic entrance. "Well, let's see what we can do for you then, come in, come in" she motioned with a wave, for the woman to follow her into the lab where there was a wall, covered with shelves filled with pokemon. "Firstly, are you a trainer or a breeder?" she asked with a incline of her head. That would influence the number and type of pokemon she would receive. "And secondly, was there a specific type of pokemon you are interested? Or would you just like a surprise of more passive pokemon?"

The doctor had blonde curls and blue eyes. She was younger than Adele, but not by too much. The black haired female loosed her hair from the ponytail it had been pulled up in, and she laced her hands in front of her body, following the good professor into the lab.

"I'm not a breeder...but I think to best serve my house, I would be a trainer. And any more passive Pokemon will work. Though...I do prefer grass types.."

Adele placed one finger on her chin as she said that, a thoughtful look crossing her face. Yes, definitely she prefered the grass types, though her favorite by far was Leafeon. That, of course, she would not be getting in this lab. But maybe...she let her thoughts trail off as she peeked up at the professor.

"Ah, a trainer! I'm sure you will have a rewarding adventure. What house do you belong to" she enquired. "Oh, nevermind" the doctor smiled with a wave, turning to the shelf. "Let's see here..." she said to herself, pondering, hand to her chin. With a click of her fingers, Nyx, her Gengar, appeared over her shoulder. Pointing to the top shelf, she directed the ghost type to collect a selection of pokeballs.

Collecting them from her partner, she tossed the pokeballs gently to the ground. Bursting open with a flash of red light, the figures of several pokemon appeared before the young woman.



"I can offer you one of our Chikorita. She's very sweet and affectionate." she explained, bending down to tickle the grass type behind the leaf, to which is chirped happily in return.

"Next I can offer you a Scyther, though not solely a grass type. He maybe look fierce but he's incredibly loyal."

"This is Deerling. She's both normal and grass type. She's quite shy but will warm up with love and attention" Dr X explained, trying to motion the fawn forward who was hiding behind her legs.

Fourth, is Snivy. He's friendly, but a bit of a trouble maker. He could be a handful but he's very amusing."

"Lastly, is Tropius. He's quite big and can be quite hard to handle. He's more aggressive than the others I have here for you but if you feel you are up to the challenge, you may take him. Unlike the others, he won't evolve either"

Adele was quick to narrow down from five to two. The two females where the most promising. Meganium was almost six feet in height, and Swasbuck was over six feet in height. Scyther was smaller than she was, at almost five feet. Tropius was even taller than Swasbuck. Serperior, however, was the biggest Pokemon of all. Yeah, the Snivy and Tropius where out, out, out.

Adele considered the Scyther, biting her lip. He would make a good Pokemon, but, alas, he was still larger than the Chikorita and Deerling. And, as she considered it, the Deerling was the smallest, but the Chikorita weighed less than her.

A faint flicker ran through Adele at that moment, and Amelia took a gander at the grass types. Before Adele could claim the Chikorita for herself, Amelia stepped in, her eyes narrowing on the group.

"I'll take the Tropius."

Amelia's cold eyes landed on the Deerling, and suddenly plans went into her head. A cruel grin spread across her face.

"Actually, scratch that, Professor. Give me that Deerling."

At least Adele would have a sweet partner for a little while. Before Amelia turned the poor little thing to do her dirty work.

Dr X was finding it quite hard to deal with the young woman and her indecisiveness. She had lifted her hand to return the rest of the pokemon, leaving the Tropius when again she changed her mind. She fought hard to contain a frustrated sigh but nodded with a smile none the less. It was like this woman had two separate personalities! Of course the professor had no idea of the truth. "Are you sure? Last chance?" she asked, pausing for a moment with an intense stare. "Deerling it is then"

With a flash of red light, the remaining pokemon disappeared, getting sucked back into their pokeballs. Handing the balls back to Nyx the Gengar, she left the ghost pokemon to return the pokeballs then turned to her Alakazam. With a click of her fingers, Phobetor used his psychic powers to lift a small black pack from a drawer, floating it over to Amelia. "There you go. In there you'll find your pokeballs, potions, other health items and a pokedex".

Amelia happily took the black pack from Dr X. She narrowed her eyes down at the Deerling, still smiling and showing her teeth. She looked happy, but the smile was cruel.

"Thank you, professor, that will be all."

Amelia took the Deerling's Pokeball and returned her, turning and "waltzing" out of the lab.
