Nekrus Xerron Vularo. That was his name. He had to remember that, especially now that he was no longer among the Wild Pokemon. Especially now that his life would never be the same. He hadn't made the decision to return to society lightly. He'd been raised by Pokemon since he was three, although the events that led to that were still sketchy. As a matter of fact, he couldn't even remember what had happened. All he had was his Pokemon-given name. Nekrus Xerron Vularo. It was a good name.
Nekrus wasn't paying attention, and so when he slammed into the outer wall of the building, he looked up and nearly brought his fist into it in his sudden flare of anger. However, seeing that it was only a wall that he hadn't noticed because his mind had been preoccupied, he growled and looked to see what building it was. With a start, he realized it was his destination. The Pokemon Laboratory stationed by some Professor he hadn't felt like learning the name of. It wasn't like he had had the chance to learn the Professor's name, though. With a sigh, he moved the door, opened it, and slipped inside, not sure whether or not he could just come on in or not.
"Hello? Is this the place where I can get a Pokemon? I'm looking to get a Ghost Type, if I need to tell you ahead of time!" bellowed Nekrus. He wasn't sure whether or not the Professor would mind the yelling or not, but he wasn't yet accustomed to social activities with other Humans, and so this was a bit of an awkward moment for the Pokemon-raised Human. Hopefully, he could be in and out of here rather quickly. Without waiting to see if he was welcomed or not, he strode towards the center of the room he'd entered into through the door. He was obviously in a lab, that he could tell. Over on one side of the room, there was an unoccupied desk. On another side, row upon row of PokeBalls were assembled, apparently to hold the Pokemon that new Trainers could choose from. Nekrus began to examine those as he waited.

The lab that the young boy entered was very spaciously designed. Directly in front at the very back of the room sat a rather large desk, covered with papers and empty coffee mugs, and of course a full, fresh and steaming one. To the left was a huge window, which was actually a sliding glass door, that lead out to a great open pasture of green grass, and was clearly where pokemon were let out to play. To the right, an open room that was obviously a lounge, and a set of grand stairs that lead upward. To the right of the desk, at the far back, a large open archway stood, leading into a dark room.
"Just a moment!" A female voice called in response to Nekrus' loud entrance. There was a short delay, before the sound of footsteps became evident as someone descended the stairs. A woman in her early thirties became visible as she descended the spiraling staircase, a smile evident on her lips as she reached the ground, and approached the young boy, "Welcome!" She greeted, "My name is Professor Storm."
She instantly began to drift back toward the disorganized desk, "So you're here for your first pokemon? And a Ghost type, at that? Wonderful! Just follow me on back here." She was in a bit of a hurry today, but she would never intentionally rush a new trainer through their acquisition of their first pokemon. It was too important of a moment.
Settling down in the chair at her desk, she drew from an open file cabinet to her right, a thin manilla folder, "Let me see what I have for you." She said, with a quick glance in his direction, before she began to thumb through the sheets of paper in the folder, quickly scanning each individual one.
It took but a short moment before her attention returned to the young man, "Alright, I have a few choices for you. The first is a male Ghastly, level 5, who knows Hypnosis, Lick, and Spite. The second is a female Misdreavus, level 5, who knows Growl, Psywave, and Spite. And the last would be a male Shuppet, level 5, who knows Knock Off and Screech." She paused for a brief moment, before adding, "And we do have one pokemon of the newest discovery, a Litwik. A male. Level 5. He knows Ember, Astonish, Minimize, and Smog." She smiled the slightest, "He's a tad bit erratic though."
She closed the file, and set it on the desk in front of her, "Do any of those appeal to you, dear?" She inquired with a smile.

Nekrus glanced over the PokeBalls quickly, having memorized which PokeBall held which the moment that Professor Storm had spoke their names. His eyes narrowed, and he knew in his mind which Pokemon that he wanted. His hand hovered over the PokeBalls for a moment, too far away for the Professor to be able to tell what he was going to chose, and then he picked up the Misdreavus. He smiled, and then clipped the PokeBall onto his belt. Then, he looked up and nodded at the Professor, smiling slightly, replacing the near constant frown that was on his face for a mere moment. Then he spoke once again, as he knew he had to make sure that he had everything he needed.
"Is that all that you have for me? Although I am, uh, older, I am still new to this, obviously, so I have no idea whether or not there's anything else you have to give me." His monotonous tone carried to the Professor in his words, he thought, but he also didn't care. He was an oddball. All ways had been. Especially since he'd been raised by ghost type Pokemon. He sighed nervously as he waited for the Professor to continue, unsure of what to do in situations like this, since he was, most obviously, quite uncomfortable around other humans. If he had his Pokemon out right now, then he'd be more comfortable, but since the thought hadn't entered his mind until just now... With a jolt, Nekrus grinned and gripped his PokeBall in his hand, and then allowed Misdreavus to come out. Now, feeling more comfortable with the familiar presence of a ghost type Pokemon, he turned and awaited the Professor's response.

"Wonderful!" The Professor exclaimed as the boy chose one of the pokemon, "I'm glad one of them suited your fancy." She rose from her chair as she spoke, "And yes, I have a few starter items for you. Wait here a moment and I'll go collect them for you." She smiled as the boy released the Misdreavus, her eyes lingering on the beautiful pokemon for a short moment, before she turned and made her way back through the archway behind her desk.
She was gone for a short moment, before she returned with a medium sized black bag. She approached her desk, and set the bag down upon it, "The last thing would be your pokedex." She informed him, "What color would you like? We have every basic color, and a light and dark version of each."

Nekrus thought on the Pokedex for a moment, even though he already knew what color he was going to have. A few moments after Professor Storm asked, Nekrus spoke. "I'd like a black one, thank you. You've been quite helpful." Professor Storm continued on to the back where she no doubt kept the Pokedexes to collect the Pokedex, since he'd told her what color, and as he waited, Nekrus turned to the Misdreavus. A few moments later, he was taken by surprise as the Misdreavus spoke into his mind. It nearly made him shout when it happened, but he caught himself when he realized it was his new Pokemon, apparently thinking it was a good idea, since Nekrus was her new trainer.
Hello, my master. I hope to be of service to you. From what I have seen by searching through your mind, you were raised by other ghost type Pokemon such as myself. That means the transition to Trainer will be a bit easier for you, since you'll have me to help you along, the Misdreavus said. Nekrus nodded at her once she finished, and then spun back around as the Professor came back with the Pokedex. Giving her a tight smile, he reached out and took the Pokedex as she offered it to him. Misdreavus gave a mental word of encouragement.
"Er, thank you, Professor. I guess I'll be on my way, then," muttered Nekrus, still awkward in social manners. Misdreavus gave a mental sigh, and Nekrus shot her a look that only provoked another. I have some work to do with you, Nekrus, since you haven't been around humans for very long and were raised by ghost types such as myself, she said into his mind. Nekrus forced himself not to roll his eyes. Then, with another thankful nod to the Professor, he turned and walked out the door, Misdreavus trailing behind.
You forgot the supplies she left you in there, so I grabbed them for you. Although, you need to work on not being so socially awkward around other humans. It'll certainly help, said Misdreavus. Nekrus hid a smile, turned, and collected the black bag of supplies that Misdreavus had collected for him from the Lab. He clipped it onto his belt within easy reach, then spun and looked down the path, across the town, and into the surrounding area. Nekrus smiled. It would be a tough journey, true enough, but it would be a good one as well.
((If there's nothing else, then that's the end))
