Jerro pulled back his arm, and then threw the PokeBall forward, through the air. Up in the air, the container opened, and released Chimchar, so that she could land before her new master. Trainer, I've got to get used to that when I'm out in public, thought Jerro. Jerro sighed and then knelt before Chimchar. It had been three days since he'd gotten his Pokemon, and once he'd gotten it, he'd come straight here. He had known he needed to train, and he'd heard that this was the best place to train low level Pokemon. "Alright, Chimchar. Lets go find ourselves a Wild Pokemon to find and tame. While we do that, we can work on making you stronger, as well," muttered Jerro, and then he stood. "Come with me," he commanded the Chimchar, and so she followed him.
He moved quickly, making his way through the forest. It was quiet, but he knew that the Pokemon couldn't stay hidden forever. If that were true, then it would be much harder to capture them. Chimchar followed closely, and, apparently having grasped that they needed to move quietly pretty quickly, did it silently. Jerro and Chimchar left the comfort of the trees and walked out into another, new clearing. Still no sign of any Pokemon. With a sigh, he turned to Chimchar and gave it permission to make noise. "Try and draw some attention to yourself," he said. The Chimchar immediately bolted towards the nearest tree, clambered up to the top of it, and called out into the sky.
"Chim-Chimchaaaaaaarrrrr!" cried the Chimchar.
Jerro allowed one of his eyes to widen in amusement. She could certainly be loud when she wanted to. The Chimchar continued to cry out, and Jerro sighed and walked over to another tree, leaning against it. If he was going to wait for a bit, he would do it in the shade, and comfortably as well. He just hoped that it wouldn't take forever for a Pokemon to appear. He wasn't the biggest fan of waits. "Come on, Chimchar, prove that I'm not wasting my time with trying to get stronger through the use of Pokemon..." muttered Jerro. He closed his eyes once he did, and waited, the only sound his Chimchar's cries and the sound of a slight breeze drifting through the forest.

What is that terrible noise? Thought a small little puppy like Pokemo as it walked around the forest that was dubbed as Sakura Forest. It was a great name and a great home, but with more and more trainers coming in trying to dominate the entire place, catching Pokemon left in right it appeared to be doing a number to the population. But Pokemon could still reproduce just fine, just like this little female Lillipup that had just had a litter of 4 eggs which were abandoned because well, this Lillipup was a teen and didn't show too much responsibility at all.
Lillipup had been prancing around this place, trying to find a new mate for the season but so far she was not having too much luck. Lillipup was trying to find something to do, since the mating thing wasn't working that well at all. But suddenly something broke the silence, a sort of screech or something. And it wasn't just a single one, it was actually quite repitive, as if it was clearly repitional. Lillipup knew that some people couldn't get enough attention, but someone was just begging for it. Lillipup decided to answer this call for attention, and silently moved towards the noises.
Soon enough Lillipup came to the area where the fire monkey Pokemon was making all the noises in the world a seemingly more calm trainer was resting a bit. More than likely he was waiting. Lillipup had realized that she was now but a few steps away from what could have been her doom... a human being. Lillipup decided to take the cute and cuddly approach, maybe if it acted nice it wouldn't be damaged. It came out from hiding with a few gentle paces and said silently in a quite little voice, "Lilli...pup..?"

Jerro's eyes snapped open at the sound of a different Pokemon's much quieter cry. He looked down to see the Lillipup that sat before him, and then grinned. "Chimchar, block off its escape!" he cried, and the Pokemon suddenly leapt from her perch in the tree and landed behind Lillipup, arms spread out, blocking Lillipup's escape. Jerro then crouched before the small little puppy Pokemon. "Sorry, little Pokemon, but the cute and cuddly thing doesn't work on me. Ya' see, I'm not exactly the biggest fan of Pokemon, so to me, you're only here for me to catch, and for my Chimchar to become stronger through a fight against you." Jerro smiled again and then stood, taking several steps back, and then several more again. "Chimchar, if you'd be so kind... Use Leer!" commanded Jerro, his voice rising to a yell at the end to punctuate that he was truly serious. Chimchar immediately jumped in front of the Lillipup, spun, and glared down into its face, freaking out the small Pokemon, as that was what the attack was supposed to do. "Now use Scratch!" Jerro continued. Chimchar stood, cried out, and then brought her nails down to strike the puppy Pokemon. There would be no playing nice. Jerro simply didn't play around that way. With a grin, he watched as the Scratch attack came down to strike Lillipup. He didn't truly care if this first offensive attack was a successful one; he only cared that his Chimchar would only grow stronger from this battle. Word Count: 271

The Lillipup quickly realized that being all cute and cuddly was NOT going to work. The Chimchar was swift to jump from its perch and land directly behind it, preparing to block off any possible escape exit that the Lillipup may have had to previously use. If this Lillipup was prone to heart attacks, it would've had a heart attack. But it was a teen, so it didn't have a heart attack. Its all cool, you know? Lillipup turned around to look at the Chimchar, which in all honesty wasn't that intimidating until HOLY CRAP THATS SCARY! Lillipup once again would've had a heart attack (I'm tempted to keep a counter somewhere...) but instead all that happened was its defense lowered. Pretty practical.
Lillipup was then struck by the claws of the enemy, which did actually a pretty decent amount of damage on the lower level puppy pokemon. Good looks weren't all that got ya this far. You can do this.. you can... do.. this... thought the puppy to itself, somehow hoping to psych itself up by lying to itself. Isn't that bad for your soul or something? Lillipup began to bound forward, not going too fast at all actually but going fast enough that dodging would be fairly difficult. Lillipup gathered force in its back legs and exerted that force into a small leap that would hopefully put the Lillipup on top of the Chimchar, using Tackle.

Jerro watched as Chimchar attempted to dodge the Lillipup's tackle, and only partly managed to do so. The Chimchar spun, and then gripped its shoulder for a moment. Then, she shook off the pain and gripped the tail of the passing Lillipup. The Chimchar used the tail to flip over the Lillipup and land in front of it again. "Chimchar, use Leer, once more!" cried Jerro. Chimchar cried its response, and then used Leer, more in Lillipup's face than last time. Jerro grinned in excitement. So far, things seemed to be going his, and more importantly Chimchar's, way. As Chimchar's attack took effect, the Fire Monkey Pokemon let go of the Lillipup. Jerro called out his next command. "Chimchar, use Scratch once more, and aim for the Lillipup's center body mass!" cried Jerro. Chimchar slid around to the side of the Lillipup, and then brought its nails down. The attack struck the Lillipup in the side of the stomach, not too powerful, but still enough to do some damage. Then, Chimchar planted its feet into the Lillipup's side and flipped off. As it flipped through the air, it grabbed one of the nearby overhanging branches that belonged to the tree that, not ten minutes ago, Jerro had been leaning against. Chimchar spun using its tail until it landed on top of the branch, and then it jumped off of the branch, landing behind the Lillipup. It spun around to face the other Pokemon once again, and Jerro stepped forward, ready to spring into action the second he believed that he'd be successful with a Pokeball. Word Count: 281

(This Lillipup sucks so you have an advantage anyway, but perhaps use different wording to administer the fact that you don't know if everything is going to hit, as in just throwing in the word attempt or tried or something, so it doesn't appear that you are god-modding or anything.)
Lillipup was unsure of this Pokemon's ability to destroy it, but as of now it would appear that the Lillipup had a clear disadvantage and in many ways it appeared that Lillipup would lose very shortly. Lillipup was seemingly carelessly being tossed around by this enemy, and the leer almost made Lillipup's heart stop once again, perhaps it skipped a beat... or two. Lillipup then was hit by the Scratch attack, the move tearing away skin from the Lillipup.
At this time the Lillipup was getting tossed around quite a bit, and it didn't seem to end at all for the Lillipup. When it finally did end the enemy was now a bit away. The speed and stamina of this Pokemon was seemingly endless. Lillipup was prepared to give up, but it then decided maybe it could turn the tide of this battle. WITH A LEER! The Lillipup used leer at the enemy, attempting to lower the enemy's defense. Whatever that is supposed to do.

Jerro's face twitched with a look of annoyance as the Lillipup's Leer took effect, lowering Chimchar's defense. He decided he wanted to try and finish this as quickly as possible, and so began to plan a few strategies in his mind. Finally, he picked the best one, and so proceeded with it. "Chimchar, use Scratch, and aim for the face!" cried Jerro. Chimchar turned to face her master, growled her reply, and then turned and leapt towards the Lillipup. It brought her hand up, and then brought her hand down, attempting to strike her where Jerro had asked her to do so. Jerro, not waiting to see if it had worked, was already moving around to the be behind the Lillipup for his part. As he looked up, he yelled out his next command without seeing if the first Scratch had hit. "Use Scratch once more, and aim for the Lillipup's legs, Chimchar!" he cried. Chimchar cried out, hopped back, and then shot forward, bringing her nails down towards the Lillipup's legs to try and take them out from beneath the other Pokemon. As Chimchar did so, Jerro took out one of his spare PokeBalls, and prepared to throw it. His body itched with anticipation. Once Chimchar's attack had been completed, and Jerro didn't pay enough attention to see if that one had hit, either, he brought his arm back, and then forward, sending the PokeBall flying through the air towards the Lillipup. It struck it in the head, flew back up into the air, opened, and sucked the Pokemon inside. It hit the ground, and Jerro waited in anticipation to see what would happen. Word Count: 291

Lillipup had anticipated a slightly different response, something along the lines of the enemy running away and crying itself to sleep, but things really didn't appear to be working that way at all. Lillipup was hit by the first scratch, losing most of its energy right there from that blow. But oh no, it would be too easy to end it there. Lillipup was hit by yet another attack, this one doing jut as muc damage, and knocking Lillipup to the ground without any power left in her tiny little body. Lillipup struggled to stand, and in all actuallity couldn't stand at all.
Lillipup then looked up, basically giving up on its life. But then the pokemon was hit by a Pokeball and absorbed into it. The Lillipup moved around in the Pokeball, trying to get out of the eternal darkness. However, its efforts were seemingly worthless as after a while it was overpowered by the pokeball and fainted. So yeah, congrats you caught a Lillipup. Jerro grinned in success, and Chimchar let out a triumphant cry. He jogged over to the PokeBall that contained Lillipup, bent, and picked it up, looking down at it in wonder. He stood, brought his PokeBall back, and then threw it up into the air, where his new Lillipup was released. When it appeared, it seemed to be on the verge of fainting. It was exhausted, and so he bent lower and took out one of his Potions. With the ease of a novice, he moved slowly around the Lillipup, spraying every area where the Pokemon was wounded. The Lillipup, which he now saw was a female, gave a contented growl as her wounds were healed. He stood back up, and then nodded his silent approval. His second Pokemon, three days after collecting his first! Already, he was becoming more powerful!
"Now then, Lillipup... All that I need to do now is get you stronger. It may take a bit, but you two are gonna take me places, hopefully," said Jerro. The first part had been directed at Lillipup, but the second had been for both of his Pokemon. Then, he stood and brought out the PokeBalls for both of his Pokemon. He opened them, and Lillipup and Chimchar both were drawn back in. As the PokeBalls closed, he brought them up near to his face and looked down on them, his expression a grim one. Then, the grim look turned into a wistful smile, and he clipped the PokeBalls back onto the back of his belt. Jerro turned and walked back into the jungle. He was done there. He had to report back into HQ soon.
