It was a normal, lovely day. Kari had a Trapinch on her person, actually, he was walking next to her, but that was beside the point, and she was enjoying the scenery of Sakura Forest as she made her way out of Stormcloud City. She had thought about challenging the gym, but then decided against it. Her Pokemon was only level five, and she needed him to be higher than that, but not yet evolved. Which reminded her that she didn't know at what level Scott the Trapinch would evolve at. "Hmm...that's an interesting thought. What level do you evolve at Scott?" The Trapinch didn't so much as turn its head, instead just stared straight ahead, moving at the slow pace that it was accustomed to moving.
"Well then. I'm sorry I didn't take the cute little Totodile or the Swablu. Altaria are much more graceful anyway," this jibe seemed to do the trick. Scott swung his large head around and glared at Kari, who knelt down on one knee and placed her hands on either side of the Pokemon's large head.
"I'm kidding, Scott. You'll be an amazing Pokemon, I just have to level you up some. Hmm..." Kari stayed in the kneeling position, one hand at her side and the other on Scott's large head. The seventeen year old let out a sigh, rocking back onto her butt and sitting there, dropping her other hand from Scott and tilting her head as she looked at the gleaming eyed, patient Pokemon.
"Right then...you're just going to stare at me, aren't you?" The Pokemon didn't so much as nod his head. Kari sweat dropped and jumped to her feet, brushing off the jeans that she was wearing. "Okay, fine, don't talk to me, but it's your loss. Come on, let's go and find something to do, this whole sitting here thing is boring," Kari could be a total ditz when she wanted to be.

A bush next to Kari and her Trapinch could be heard rustling. It rustled for a few seconds, then suddenly became still. For a few more seconds the bush was still, and then it started to rustle again before a Slakoth rolled out lazily. Awoken by the commotion, but to lazy to do anything, the Slakoth slowly crawled it's way closer to the two. Once a few feet away, the Slakoth got up to a sitting position, and stared at Kari and her Pokemon. He didn't feel like attacking the two, although they did awake him from his sleep. He could only hope that his lazy looking eyes would convince them to leave.

What in the world was that thing? Kari started to grab out her Pokedex when she remembered what it was on her own accord. A Slakoth. A Pokemon that did no good in battles. She frowned, kneeling down at looking at the creature at a closer level.
"And hello there sleepy-head. Hey, Scott, come check this out."
Scott looked between the two slowly, and then moved forward. Closer. Closer. He leaned in reeeeaaaaaallllllly close to the Slakoth, opened his mouth wide, and then proceeded to try to pick up the Pokemon in his mouth to shake like a rag doll.
Scott used Bite Shake? What in the world?

The Slakoth watched as the Trapinch got closer, but did nothing to try to avoid it. As the Trapinch opened it's mouth, Slakoth helped the big jawed Pokemon out by peeking inside it's mouth. When Trapinch closed it's jaw shut, it startled the Slakoth, which actually caused it to try and do something. It Scratched at the Trapinch's jaw, trying to get free. Weather that was successful or it was still stuck, he would then Yawn to try and get the Pokemon to fall asleep. In it's head, all that it could think about was sleep anyhow.

The shock was apparent on Kari's face as the Slakoth placed its head in Scott's mouth. The Trapinch closed his jaws on the Pokemon, shaking his head. That was either a Bite, or he was literally shaking the Slakoth like a ragdoll.
Kari pulled herself out of her stunned state as the Slakoth Scratched Scott. The Trapinch let go of the Slakoth in shock, and his eyes went wide, jaws parted.
It scratched him! Scott let out this low sound, that was, at least to Kari, supposed to be a growl.
"Scott..."
Scott shook his head back and forth, staring at the Pokemon as it opened its mouth and Yawned.
"Okay, well, you're about to fall asleep, so, use Bite now!"
Scott's eyes brightened considerably. He opened his mouth again, this time perfectly ready to clamp down on that little monster and Bite it.
In Scott's opinion, it was the Slakoth's own fault for scratching him. He should have kept his claws to himself.

The Slakoth once again saw the Bite attack coming, and decided that he didn't want to be stuck in that Pokemon's mouth again. He tried to roll out the way, but he was too lazy to move fast enough. So, the Trapinch ended up only biting his arm. The Slakoth was in pain, and tried to pull it's arm out, but it was no use. So for a while the Slakoth just lied there, hoping that the Trapinch would loosen it's grip when it fell asleep. The Slakoth stared at Kari with it's lazy eyes, hoping she would do something to help him out.

Scott was content with getting a hold of the Slakoth's arm, until the point when he yawned, releasing his grip. His front legs slid out from under his body and he hit the ground. Thunk. His eyes fell shut, and the Ant Pit Pokemon started to snore.
Kari covered her ears, making a face.
"Oh Scott, you'll have to sleep in your Pokeball if you'll always snore like that."
Kari shook her head, looking at the Slakoth. It was such an apathetic Pokemon in her mind, but Vigorath, well, that was a Pokemon that was strong, fast, and definitely worth having as a base Pokemon. Well, other than other Dragon types.
"Hmm...Slakoth...Vigoroth...but not a Slaking...Well then, Mr. Slakoth, did you not want a battle? I'm sorry, Scott's just hot headed."
The Trapinch let out another snore, and Kari shook her head. Word Count: 141

The Slakoth let his arm fall to the floor once the Trapinch yawned, feeling very relieved. He got himself into an upright position, and then stared at the Trapinch that had just fell asleep right next to him with an emotionless expression before turning back to Kari as she was talking. The Slakoth shook his head no to Kari's question, before looking back at the Trapinch. Looking at the Trapinch sleeping made Slakoth drowsy. After only a few seconds of staring, the Slakoth fell on top of the Trapinch and fell asleep, using the Pokemon's large head as a pillow.

The poor thing hadn't even wanted to fight. Silly Scott. When the Slakoth fell asleep on Scott's head, Kari couldn't help the giggles that rose up in her throat. She plucked a Pokeball from her bag, Scott's already resting on the belt that she wore to hold up her jeans, and she enlarged it, trying to stop giggling.
"Okay then my little sleepy head."
Kari stood up and stepped back, throwing the Pokeball at the sleeping Slakoth. Scott hardly stirred, only shifting one large leg so his head was cushioned.
"Well Scott, looks like you made a new friend."
It was an inadvertent thing on his part, but, still. Kari couldn't help but giggle at the Pokemon. Weather or not she caught the Slakoth, it didn't matter. It was a new experiance for the seventeen year old.

The Slakoth made no attempt to escape the Pokeball as the red beam of light sucked the Pokemon inside. The Pokeball wiggled the usual three times, and then the successful 'ding' sound was heard.
Congratulations! You caught Slakoth!
[/b] Name: Slakoth Gender: Male Level: 6 Abilities: Truant - Pokemon can't attack twice in a row Attacks: Scratch, Yawn, Encore, Slack Off Personality:Slakoth is an extremely tedious Pokemon. He often comes out of his Pokeball sleeping, and his ability hinders him even more. Often times he will need coaxing to do anything. [/center][/blockquote][/blockquote]
