General Appearance:
At first glance, Min is no more or less than the average girl in her late teens. She stands at approximately five feet and four inches, with the somewhat soft look of a girl who is naturally of a middling weight and makes no effort to be otherwise. Her hair, naturally brown but lightened to a pale dirty blonde, is worn straight, short and full, an easy style that requires no more than running her fingers through it each day. Dark brown eyes are framed by large glasses, often dramatically lined and shadowed to force attention their way in spite of the spectacles. The rest of her face is kept mostly free of cosmetics, although her nails are usually painted. Eyebrows, likewise, are kept carefully plucked. Both ears contain an arrayment of little hoop earrings; there is also a small studd on the lefthand side of her slightly pointed nose.
Always clean and well-trimmed, Min walks with a degree of confidence uncommon in girls of her age group, maintaining a solemn stride and a stoic mouth in almost every circumstance. Her posture is good, almost flawless; when she does slouch, it's with a deliberate but not self-conscious air that suggests an offhand attempt to buck the system at large. Likewise, she moves and sometimes speaks with an air an accent that suggests especially good breeding, although this cuts in and out of her generally curt, brusque and occasionally rude manner.

Likes:
This is a pretty heavy question. Min likes a lot of things: computers, especially. Although she doesn't particularly like studying, she's passionate about becoming an engineer and following in her father's footsteps. When she's not studying, she likes to play video games, spend time with friends and do the other things a girl in her situation would find common. Her favourite foods are curry and peaches, her favourite colour is eggplant, and her best friend is Data, with whom she's spent almost her whole life.
Dislikes:
Min doesn't have the energy or the inclination to actively hate anything, even the people who've done her wrong. She has contempt, yet grudging tolerance of the people around her that she feels are not as smart as she is, and she disdains those who slide by on anything other than hard work. Although she comes from money, Min hasn't had much handed to her in her life and she regards people with entitlement issues as worthy of derision.
Strengths:
Extremely intelligent and proud, Min takes everything that she does seriously and honestly attempts to do her very best at anything she may put her hand to. She has a strong code of ethics and morals, although they may be different from other peoples', and she sticks to them wholeheartedly.
Weaknesses:
Min is hard to get along with at best. She's sour, sarcastic, conceited, self-assured, impatient and often rude, and she rarely accepts "no" for an answer. If something doesn't directly affect her life, she tends to regard it with apathy, and she has a bad tendancy to procrastinate.
Personality:
Proud to a fault, impatient with the slow pace of the world and eager to be out and on her own, Min nonetheless cherishes her family and friends. Hers has been a life lived with a minimum of tragedy, and as a result she is rather well-adjusted, if at the mercy of the inherent faults of her personality. Among them is a lack of reverence for any serious topic which is not of personal interest to her, a predisposition to anger quickly and a certain ingrained paranoia of other people that comes from living in a large city. She is strongly opinionated and doesn't hesitate to say out loud what she's thinking, sometimes even when there's no one to hear her. This natural lack of tact has gotten her into a great deal of trouble and makes it difficult for her to adjust within her own social circles.
No one is all bad, however, and Min is no exception. She has great respect for life and love, human and Pokémon alike, and regards physical altercation as a last resort. She has no personal interest in training, regarding the practice as overrated at best and at worst, mildly barbaric. Similarly, she doesn't follow the sport of training or watch battles on television as many other young people do, nor does she maintain any sort of fanaticism for celebrities of any type despite loving movies, books, music and other popular culture. As with all things, Min is primarily concerned with her own little world and anything that doesn't penetrate its boundaries is regarded with disinterest.

Family:
Min and Greg Stone are more than just father and daughter, they're good friends. The two of them are two peas in a pod in almost every respect, from the way they look to the way they think. As a result, there is no barrier of awkwardness between them as there usually is between a single father and his daughter, and Min wouldn't have it any other way. Since she was ten years old, Min has taken care of Greg as much as he's taken care of her. He can't cook or handle any more than basic dosmetic responsibilities, so those often fall to her; that suits her well enough, as she doesn't mind that sort of thing and he's a constantly busy man.
Greg works for the government of Lunar City as an engineer. His division specializes in the maintenance and constant improvement of the city's Pokémon center, trading systems, and especially in the systems put in place to channel the energy from the meteor at the city's heart. As high-profile, high-security individual, Greg makes a great deal of money--more than enough to put his daughter through college, but that's where the Pokébuck stops. Since she was a kid, Min has been required to work for every luxury she wanted, from designer shoes to her new laptop. Even now, she maintains a part-time job with the city at the same time that she attends university. It's menial work, mainly custodial duties and light electronic maintenance within the city's key buildings, but Greg is adamant that if she is going to grow up to do the same thing he does, she should have a full understanding of every part of the system that keeps Lunar City thriving.
Unfortunately, Min's mother died too early for Min to have gotten to know her on the same terms. However, Min does possess a photographic memory that affords her the ability to recall everything about her mother while she was alive. Valara Stone was a debutante from old money, and her mother, Minerva Grout, is still a very prominent social figure in Lunar City, being especially well known for her work with various charities both local and global. Minerva never really approved of Valara marrying a member of the working class, and now that her daughter has passed away she makes no effort to connect on a meaningful level with her son-in-law or her granddaughter.
The other member of the Stone family is Data, a Porygon2 who technically belongs to the Lunar City Pokémon Research Center. More on it later, however, as going any further on this topic would come dangerously close to...
History:
Min was always that smart kid in class who made trouble because she was bored, and couldn't get along with kids her own age because she was smarter than them, and she flaunted it. She was snotty and condescending, and she was unpopular because of it. Teachers for the most part disliked her, because she resented them for making her move at the crawling pace of the rest of the class, and she didn't bother to show them the respect they deserved as a result. It was a rough time for Minnie, and it all came to a head when Valara was in a car accident.
She didn't die right away. Minnie's mother spent two weeks in pain and another four days in a coma before she finally passed on, and during this time, Minnie was inconsolable. She didn't go to school, she screamed and thrashed at the slightest provocation, and she made things much worse for herself and her father. When word came that Valara was gone, Minnie went silent. At seven years old, she refused to speak at all. She returned to school, but all of her teachers agreed that it was akin to having a ghost present. The spirited girl of before was simply gone.
Greg tried everything to improve her life and make her come around, to no avail. A trip to the seaside resulted in her coming down with a bad case of the flu, which almost broke her spirit completely. At last, one of the scientists at the Lunar City Pokémon Research Center with whom Greg sometimes debated on a few of the finer points of pure physics versus applied physics suggested that Min become a part of a ten year study they were conducting at the lab. The study was simple: ten recently evolved Porygon2 were going to be distributed to families within the city in order to study the effects of non-training oriented human contact on artificial Pokémon versus the progress of the control group of Porygon2 that would continue to be raised in the lab. Initially Greg was hesitant, but reluctantly agreed.
Officially, the name of the Porygon2 that went home to his daughter that day was Ex4655-TRTGRP-07, but in the interest of convenience, Greg called it Data.
It was love at first sight, plain and simple.
Data slept on Minnie's bedside table, humming faintly and acting as a dim nightlight. It soon became clear that the girl couldn't sleep properly without the white noise and the soft light, and after a few weeks of sleep without the night terrors that had plagued her since her mother's death, Minnie's health significantly improved. Soon the two of them were inseperable; Minnie was given detention on several occasions for trying to sneak the Pokémon into class with her. Every day she ran home to play with Data, and when Greg installed a calculator and a flashcard function, the Pokémon soon became an invaluable tool for Minnie's studies.
In middle school, Min was considerably better liked. She'd calmed down a lot and made quite a few friends in her age group, which improved her personality significantly in itself, although the window of learning for a lot of basic social skills was closed to her now. Despite maintaining relationships with a few girls and a boy or two, Data remained Min's best friend. After working a summer vacation and purchasing a laptop for herself, Min learned how to hook Data up to it and was soon installing her own updates and doing reprogramming work of her own. Between coding and playing video games together, the two were as happy as clowns.
Min graduated high school a year early and was quickly accepted on a partial scholarship to the University of Lunar City, where she meant to get her degree in engineering. This is where she is now, living much as many other girls in Lunar City live. The study is over and the results have been submitted, but being completely unable to give Data up, Min has applied to the LCPRL to allow her to purchase the Pokémon for herself. Having not much use for a Pokémon that would otherwise have to be completely reprogrammed for use in a lab, the administrators agreed on the condition that she return to them Data's full value. £7000 is a lot of money, but by now Min has put a significant dent in the total. She is working hard to keep up her payments, and plans to work full-time in the summer for the same cause.
Everything was going well until the summer of Min's first year at Lunar U. Doctor Horatio Oran was one of the physicists at the LCPRC, where Min worked occasionally between classes, it being one of the city's prominent buildings. The two of them had developed a good rapport, having known each other since Min was young--Dr. Oran was the scientist in charge of the Porygon2 Assimilation Experiment, and they had met with Greg present for monthly checkups and reports. Dr. Oran was also pushing eighty years old, and as he indicated to Min, he was no longer capable of caring for some of the Pokémon left in his care. One in particular, a nasty-tempered Beldum that had been given to him by his son, was causing him such problems that he would either have to turn it over to the lab, or find someone to care for it. As someone young and determined, who had experience with mechanical Pokémon of the Psychic type and who had shown herself over and over to be dutiful and hardworking, Dr. oran requested that Min take the Pokémon to raise and care for.
Of course, she had no choice but to accept. Titan, as she calls the monstrosity, is a powerful and destructive Pokémon used to being battled hard who hasn't adapted well to the pacifistic life Min insists upon for it. It has cost her a great deal of time and money, and even now, a year later, she has a lot of trouble keeping it under check.
Now, Min is in her second year of University. She has a circle of a few close friends and a significant network of acquaintances within the city, as it should be. So concludes the story of one more face among the masses.
