From time to time, Kyno visited the Crystal Lake. On even less often occasions, he went into serious training with his Pokemon. Often this was because that his Pokemon didn't actually want to train, but sometimes, it was simply because he saw no need in it. However, here at the Lakeside, his Sawk had suddenly become pumped up. It hadn't taken Kyno very long to discern that it was because the Pokemon wanted to train some. So, he'd allowed the Pokemon to go off and train itself. He'd ended up watching it beat dents into trees and run around the lake several times, a feat that was impressive once around, not to mention several times over. Now, the Breeder decided that Sawk needed a training partner, and so he took the other PokeBall he had that actually had a Pokemon in it and released what was inside.
"Lux-uxio!" cried the Pokemon. His Luxio formed a few feet away, her form that of a predator in its prime. Kyno climbed to his feet, and then watched as his Luxio turned to watch Sawk, her head turned to the side as if she were asking what he was doing. Kyno couldn't help but grin, and then walked up to stand beside Luxio. He ruffled her fir, and then walked in front of her so that she could see him talking.
"Sawk is training really hard right now. I don't know why he suddenly wanted to train, but he can't go any harder without a training partner. Go help him out, Luxio!" commanded Kyno. The Luxio cried its response, and then bounded away, her form speeding along the path at almost three times the speed of Sawk. Such was the advantage of having four legs instead of two. "Heh, I never thought that my Pokemon could be so motivated... I guess I should give them some Oran Berries once they're done so that their energy will be refreshed," muttered Kyno. With a grin, he turned back to where his pack was, walked over, and began to rummage inside for the Oran Berries he knew were inside.

I wanna heal, I wanna feel, like I'm close to something real..."LAD SLOTTET!" The battle-like cry was heard for a good distance, a slight ring lingering eerily about the air as it died out. The origin of the sound was yet to be seen however, leaving an almost iridescent mood. Suddenly, there came a rustling from a patch of bushes. Noah leapt out of the bushes and charged outwards, towards the lake. He ran on swift feet, a worried look on his face. If one looked closely enough, you could see tears of exasperation.
Noah jumped into the lake with no hesitation, breaking the calm surface. He surfaced and gasped for air, swimming back to shore. He still had yet to notice Kyno! There came another figure from the bushes, a Mienshao. She walked up to Noah and offered herself for the boy to lean on, clearly seeing his tired state. She was aware of Kyno, however. More than Noah was.
Noah's breathing cleared up after a moment, murmuring something in some alien language that was Poké, spoken by a human, only sounding so odd because of a human's voice depicting the language of Pokemon. Noah then broke out into an small fit of laughter as she replied. "Alright, fine!" he said finally in English. "You won. I used the lake unfairly."
It was at this moment he became alerted to Kyno's prescene. He looked over at the human and his smile drooped a little. "Oh... hey," he said halfheartedly; either from being nervous, or his oddity of other humans. "Sorry if I interrupted anything with my game of Tag." His Slowpoke finally caught up, walking up to stop behind Noah, butting the back of his leg softly with her head. OOC: Translation: Charge the castle! He is randomly psychotic. What would you expect from a game of Tag? XD

Kari was making her way back up the Crystal Lake Path from an earlier encounter, Scott walking a head of her with Aria just behind him. The female smiled slightly at her two Pokemon, only pausing when she noticed the two people up ahead of her.
Scott moved himself in front of Aria without a second thought, blocking her from the other trainers and Pokemon. She took a few steps back before turning and running over to her trainer.
The black haired seventeen year old bent down, picking up the Teddiursa quickly. Scott stayed where he was, looking at the two humans with disdain. There were also four Pokemon, but Scott wasn't too much worried about them. Much.
The Trapinch looked over his shoulder, tilting his head to one side. Kari and Scott both caught the word "tag", and apparently so did Aria, because she started to whine. The Teddiursa was very much a child.
"Shh...Aria...be still sweet heart. Scott! Get back here!"
Kari had to raise her voice, because the Pokemon was trying to wander away.
OOC: Blegh, bad post, but I NEED sleep. Like, school in the morning, need sleep now, kind of thing.

Kyno looked up from rummaging through his pack as the boy leapt into the lake, and had to hide a grin. A moment later, a Mienshao came out of the forest and helped the boy out, and although the boy had not yet noticed the Breeder, the Mienshao did. Kyno heard the boy speaking in some odd language, and after a moment, he recognized it as Poke. Impressed, he stood as if to speak with the boy, when he noticed Kyno. He smiled at him and the Mienshao, and then watched as a Slowpoke made its way out of the forest and over to the boy. Realizing that this boy was a little embarrassed, Kyno took the moment to call his Pokemon back over to him with a loud, high pitch whistle. Immediately, there came a reply from his Luxio. A moment later, he came racing along the path, with Sawk close behind. He then turned back to the boy.
"Hello there. From those Pokemon with you, I take it that you're a Trainer," said Kyno kindly. He glanced up at the sun, and saw that it was starting to go down. "It's starting to get late. Why don't you stay here tonight? I was going to make dinner soon anyways, so if you're here, and a Trainer, I can make more for you and your Pokemon," continued the Breeder, a big smile on his face. He motioned to the grass, where he'd laid out a large blanket earlier. Luxio cried out, and Kyno turned to him and then motioned towards the forest. Sawk and Luxio both nodded, and then spun and raced into the forest. He grinned. He'd trained them on how to collect food out in the forest, and so he knew he could trust them to get everything ready for dinner. Kyno heard a noise from not that far away, and spun to see that yet another Trainer had appeared. Smiling, he waved the Trainer over.
"Come on over! You're welcome to join us as well... you know, if my other friend here wants to stay. My Pokemon will gather enough food for me to cook to feed all of us, and it's getting late, so I don't mind at all!" he called over to the Trainer and her Pokemon. Then he motioned to the blanket he'd set out earlier and moved over to the lake to wash his hands in the water. As he finished, he turned and went back over to his pack, and continued to rummage through it, looking for those berries once more so that he could use them to make the meal he was going to prepare for these Trainers... if they decided to stay there. They could decided to simply move on, though. Either way, it didn't matter. If they left, he'd simply have enough food to last him for quite a while.

I wanna let go of the feelings I've felt so long...Noah turned to his 'mother'. <Mama? Would you mind staying here with him for dinner?> he asked in poke. She shook her head softly, smiling. Noah grinned and looked at Kyno. "We'd love to stay for dinner. Thank you," he said, nodding softly in the Breeder's direction. He then turned his gaze around to face the other trainer, giving a small wave. Noah was smiling softly now, happy to be socializing but also a tad nervous.
His Slowpoke finally butted into his leg again, earning his attention for a moment before turning toface Kyno. "Ah, where are my manners?", he said to himself, chuckling softly. He outstretched a had for Kyno to shake. "I'm Noah," he said, smiling.

Kari's attention was pulled from her biting Trapinch and up to the two boys by the water. She offered a smile and a wave with one hand, the other still balancing Aria in it.
Scott walked back over to her, lifting his head up for his Teddiursa charge. Kari placed her on his head, and she dropped back onto his back, grinning. Scott turned and lumbered toward the blanket, Kari following him.
"Thank you! I'm Kari, and this is Scott and Aria."
Scott shot a glare in the direction of the other Pokemon, and Aria waved one little paw, which she then put back into her mouth. Kari laughed at her two little Pokemon and then pulled out her other Pokeball, tossing it. The light formed into a Slakoth, and the male blinked blearly before putting his head back down. It was clear he just wanted to sleep more.
"He's Shanouk. And he's lazy."
Shanouk didn't budge at the jibe, and Kari rolled her eyes at him. Silly slow snarky Slakoth.

Kyno grinned as both of the Trainers accepted his offer, and then finally succeeded in finding his Oran Berries. He brought all of them out, and brought them over to where he'd set out a pot over a fire earlier. He set them on the blanket around the pot and fire, and then took the pot off of the fire and over to the water. There, he dipped the pot into the water, collecting enough to fill the post three fourths of the way up. He then brought the pot back over to the fire and set it over it. The water almost immediately began to boil. Grinning, Kyno got out a knife and began cutting the Oran Berries into pieces over the pot, where they then fell into the pot. A bit of a blue shading process began in the water, but the color was soon boiled away. He stood and nodded, then sat down and began waiting for his Pokemon to return with whatever fruits they could find.
"Now, I'm not the greatest cook in the world, but I hope you all enjoy this. It always ends up being different, depending on what my Pokemon bring back, and in what number they bring it back in." Kyno's words had a cheery air about them; he was having a good time. Suddenly remembering something, he turned to the two Trainers. He'd forgotten to introduce himself. "Oh, by the way, my name is Kyno Rontu. I'm a Pokemon Breeder, currently traveling the Region to train my Pokemon and to learn as much as I can from other Breeders, Trainers, and whoever else I meet. I don't really have any specific goals yet, though. I'm just waiting for something to happen, I suppose," spoke the Breeder. With the sound of something approaching from the trees, Kyno spun to see his Pokemon come out from the trees, both carrying a variety of things. They came over to the pot and set the things out next to it for Kyno to go through and choose from.
"Good job you two. Go greet our guests," Kyno said with a big grin. Luxio and Sawk both gave their agreements, and then moved over to the other Pokemon to introduce themselves. Kyno nodded, content, and then moved over to the assortment of items the Pokemon had brought back with them. He took three bananas and peeled them, one at a time, slicing off the ends and then dropping the rest into the pot. He then took two apples and sliced them into small slivers, until the entire thing save for the stem was bobbling on the steaming water in the pot. Moving on, he did the same with four oranges and a pear. Then he came to some berries, although not any kind that had some sort of effect, unless you counted filling stomachs as an effect. He took each and, using small, precise clamps from his pack, squeezed the juice from each berry into the pot.
Finished with that part, he moved onto the dead deer the Pokemon had brought him. Not a Pokemon itself, just a simple deer that Sawk had carried in. Not many non-Pokemon could be found nowadays, so he took this chance to try and impress the two Trainers and their Pokemon. He called to Sawk, and with a lumbering sort of grace, he moved over and listened to Kyno's whispered directions. It gave a nod, and then picked up the deer and brought it off into the forest. Kyno winked at the Trainers, and then moved onto the herbs that the Pokemon had brought. Using careful, precise tools and movements, Kyno turned the herbs into stew material by first sticking them directly into the fire and then dropping them into the boiling water while they were still alight with fire. The water put the fire out, while keeping the burning going, so that the herbs would be crisp and tasty. He turned around again as Sawk began to return, carrying large, juicy pieces of meat in its grasp. Kyno nodded to the pot, and Saw dropped the pieces in.
"Well, while we wait for that... how about you tell me about yourselves? I don't often get the chance to serve dinner to Trainers, so I want to know as much as I can about how your journeys are going," said Kyno cheerily. He smiled at the two Trainers and then sat down before them, cross legged, while Luxio began to assemble the other Pokemon for some sort of game. Kyno could already smell the stew from the pot. His mouth began watering for a moment, but he swallowed the excess saliva and then began waiting in silence for either of the Trainers to respond. He had to let the stew boil for about an hour before it'd be finished, so he'd make the best of the time he had as he could.

Kari sat calmly, watching as the male began to cut up Oran berries into a pot. Scott was lying next to her, with Aria settled against his side, and Shanouk, well, he was still sprawled out in the grass where his Pokeball had dumped him.
"Now, I'm not the greatest cook in the world, but I hope you all enjoy this. It always ends up being different, depending on what my Pokemon bring back, and in what number they bring it back in,"
Well, that made sense. Anything with berries in it would change. Of course, Scott would turn his nose up to anything spicy, and Aria liked sweets, and Shanouk...he liked grass. Kari leaned back on her hands, legs pulled up around either side of her, heels touching her thighs. It was "bad for her knees", but comfortable for her.
As she listened, she heard that the male was named Kyno. That was a nice name. He was older than her, and the other male was around her age. She didn't feel exactly safe, however. A breeder and a trainer who had a Meinshao...she pulled out her Pokedex, unsure of what exactly the Meinshao was. After it was logged, she nodded her head slowly. Well then, she felt a little safer with that Pokemon around, and being around an adult, other than those two Gym Leaders.
Kari watched as Scott looked up at the Luxio was mild disinterest, and as Aria put out one paw to touch it. She tottered, standing a little on one of Scott's legs, and almost fell. The Trapinch reacted quickly, snapping his head around and stabalizing the little Pokemon with his large head.
Kari's attention had been drawn to Scott's display of, dare she call it paternal instincts?, so she hadn't noticed the wink or the deer carcass. She turned her attention back to Kyno as he asked to know a little bit about them. Scott's eyes moved over to Kari, and he nudged her with his head.
Kari patted the large Ant Pit Pokemon's head distractedly, biting her lip a little.
"Well, I'm Kari, and I'm a Pokemon Trainer. My parents sort of...left me here...two years ago to go to Unova Region. I didn't want to go. I didn't start my journey until this year, though. And Scott was my first Pokemon."
Scott lifted his head proudly, turning it to make sure that Aria hadn't fallen yet again. The little Pokemon was looking at Luxio, and she pointed with one paw, the other securely in her mouth. Scott sighed, nodding his head. The little Teddiursa bounced up, srambling past Shanouk to take part in whatever game was being played. Scott didn't, and Shanouk was still asleep.
"I was afraid of Pokemon for a little while because they all wanted to bite me. This one doesn't want to bite me, he wants to bite everyone and everything that comes near me."
Scott again lifted his head proudly, looking smug. And then he muttered to Kari: "Only the stupid ones" which made her pop him gently on the head.

Noah sat down with his legs crossed, hands allayed behind him as he leaned back. Ahroun sat beside him, right at his side (and what else could be expected?). Noah's Slowpoke was sidled up to his side, coddling against his leg. He turned his gaze to Kyno as he spoke, nodding softly as he introduced himself. It was obvious the boy was still awkward in a social position such as this; dignified by his lack of return.
He watched Kyno cook with interest, or moreover, Noah's Slowpoke did. Noah looked over to his starter and then to the pot with which Kyno was cooking. He smirked softly and rubbed the Slowpoke's head. <Just don't attack him when it's done, Asha,> he told her in Poké, having finally decided on her name. The Slowpoke simply looked up and smiled lazily before reverting her gaze to nothing but the food.
Noah arched an eyebrow when a deer was brought back. Though he realized what it was... they were very rare back in Unova. Ridiculously much so. Like, almost impossible to find rare. But he watched as Kyno cleaned the carcass with interest, until he heard a voice speaking.
Turning his head to the female trainer that was here as well (as he has nearly forgotten about her), he listened to her short story. He nodded softly. "Yeah, I can understand, having no parents 'n all." Ahroun eye him cautiously, making sure he wasn't in tears or anything already. Surprisingly, he wasn't at all.
"Well... I haven't had a real parent for... quite some time. My parents died in a truck accident a few days after my birth. I was... liberated, if that's the right word, from the hospital by Pokemon. I was brought up among them and learned how to live with them. It's brought out a lot in me, really. I was sent here after I..."
His voice trailed off and he stopped speaking. His eyes were a tad glassy and he sniffled once, but drew his depression inwards again and ignored it, simply rubbing Asha's head absentmindedly for comfort.
ooc: Sorry for my disappearance. Been busy with finals.
