NOAH • MAXWELL • ROSENTHALL
Play By:
Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."
• Labels Do Not Define Me •
Name: Noah Maxwell Rosenthall
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bisexual
Status: Trainer
• On The Outside Looking In •
Hair: Pale blonde, usually long and unkempt
Eyes: Strikingly green
Scars/Markings: Two scars; one on his right arm, one down his neck.
General Appearance: Noah does not particularly care for his appearance, though Mother Nature still gave him a nice-enough set of looks. His pale blonde and usually flowing hair contrasts his strikingly green eyes as if within an artist's rendition, the color of his eyes almost surreal. His bangs usually hang just barely over his eyes. Stuck in his hair is always a black rose from events in his childhood that are the source of his problems. This rose symbolizes whatever is left of his hope. His skin is a fair pale color, only marked with two blemishes; one scar going straight up and down the frontside of his neck, the other a bit jagged down the back of his right arm. His clothing themes are usually dark and/or neutral colors; though never white.
• There's More Than Meets The Eye •
Likes: Silence, Spicy Foods, Friendly People, Pokemon
Dislikes: Loud Noises, Public Places, People Who Think They Know Him
Strengths: His lithe body, fast reflexes, and agile body
Weaknesses: A frail immune system, insomnia, and psychological problems
Personality: Noah is, as rumor has it, absolutely insane. At least when he wants to be. When he isn't completely flipped off, Noah is a silent kid, fairly quiet in his ways. He goes about his life alone and not wanting anyone else in it, either; though in the back of his mind he knows he craves someone to care about him. Noah is very independent and has been for most of his life. He is not usually smiling, he is not even really ever happy. It's something that was never brought out in him.
Well, this doesn't apply when he is around Pokemon though.
When he is around Pokemon, whom he considers more of family than humans, he is a very kind and happy person. His personality completely reverses; though the evident traces of insanity are still quite there.
• I Am What I Own •
Items:A black rose, A bamboo flute, and A longboard.
Pokemon:
Ahroun
MIENSHAO
She is a total pacifist and wouldn't ever fight unless it was life threatening to Noah. She does NOT count as part of his team and doesn't have a pokeball. She plays the role of a more motherly stature towards Noah.
• How I Became Who I Am •
Family: None left. All dead or in some other part of the world with no clue that this kid even so much as exists.
History:
Noah was born on a brisk morning of May 23. He was alert quickly as a child, and cried much less than a normal child after birth. He cuddled into his mother's arms, afraid of his own senses.
Afraid of the corrupt world he would see.
Afraid of the burnt, old stench about the world that was pollution.
Afraid of the words he would one day hear; "They are dead, Noah."
Afraid of the bittersweet taste of vengeance.
Afraid of the life that would touch his small heart.
It was an oddly cold day in Hearthome city on the day of the child's birth, but everyone assumed it was just a cold front. And with that front came a storm.
And the words, "They are dead."
Noah's parents died in a car accident, blinded by the torrential rain. Noah was pitied greatly and put up for adoption. The baby remained silent the whole next few days, as if something was telling him to do so. All the doctors worried he was ill or something of the like. 'Something of the like' was pretty accurate. From a young age, Noah had a bit of a mental cocoon that cut him off from the rest of the world. It set him aside from everyone else and differentiated his thinking. (Later on, it would not only drive him insane, but also bring out the psychic abilities locked within his heritage.)
The doctors had come five weeks after the deaths, as was their hourly routine, to find the window smashed and Noah missing. As if commanded to do so, a Scizor had 'kidnapped', or rather saved, Noah. As soon as the infant reached the outside, he cried. The stench of pollution was putrid to his virgin nose.
The Scizor stopped once deep in a forest, the baby still crying. A Shaymin no larger than the infant had told the Scizor to rescue him after taking pity upon the boy, having seen what had happened with his parents. Noah was set beside the Shaymin, and as soon as that small bush-like Pokemon cuddled up to Noah, their heartbeats together, the crying stopped.
Something told him he was safe.
Many eventless years passed afterwards. Noah was raised in two cultures, being taught English by the telepathy-using Shaymin, but poké became his main communicational method. He would only talk English when he made the occasional trip into town to gather up some supplies that he would need as a human that Pokemon wouldn't.
One day while strolling in the city, he was found by one of the now retired doctors. He was instantly recognized and chased into the woods, where the Shaymin spirited him away, far east in the region. It took weeks of travel before they were safe.
Noah was introduced to the Pokemon there. He was now 13, and had his own Pokemon, sort of. A Mienfoo whom he considered a sister had befriended the boy almost immediately upon arrival. The Pokemon became his guardian as Noah grew up.
--
Noah's insanity finally peaked at 15. After an insane fit of prophetsizing things to come and of a twisted laughter which he was knocked black out (due to a lack of oxygen), Mienfoo and Shaymin decided it was time to get him somewhere safer. The trio traveled west again, Noah turning 16 along the way, and Mienfoo becoming a Mienshao. She became almost a motherly figure now towards the boy.
Noah was put on a boat with Mienshao to the Star region, Shaymin hoping they could find answers to his problems there...
Other: He is a psychic (meaning he can use telepathy, so far only minor telekinesis, and no teleporting yet. He hasn't trained it much yet, though he plans to do so.) As a downfall/backfire to this, he is mentally insane. And when I mean insane, I mean the 'If you piss me off and shove a gun in my face I'll probably break into evil cackling' kind of insane.
