Emile glanced across the assembled hall, staring into hundreds of faces he did not yet know. No matter, he would, in time. He sat at the head of the table in a large ornate chair, sweeping the silent procession with his steely gaze.
"My name." He spoke very clearly, commandingly. "Is Emile Avaant. I am acting as head of The Order from now on."
He paused for effect, a smirk touching his lips as he brushed a strand of hair away from his eyes. He knew he'd have to make a good first impression. He crossed his legs, folding his hands together calmly.
"I do not know much of your old leader, but i am not a man who commands out of fear. All i ask is loyalty, and in turn i shall make sure each of you is treated right and fairly. And all of your Pokemon." He smiled softly, a soft laugh echoing out across the murmurs.
"However..." His voice grew dark as he cast his hand commandingly to the figure curled in the corner. It was of a man, a young man, clearly dressed as a doctor. He was terrified beyond belief, tears running down his face.
"If you do anything to displease me, I will kill you. I will make you wish you had never existed. But do not fear, it takes a lot for you to end up as this poor man will. His name is Doctor Irons - one of the head minds in the region." He grit his teeth, turning he produced two Pokeballs in his hand and tossed them into the air.
The two pokemon that came out where almost identical, save for the one on the left was perhaps an inch taller. They where Nidoking, powerful ones at that - clearly meant for battle. They each swept the crowd, the look in their eyes seeing things to crush.
"Brutus and Titan." He addressed them and reached up to scratch under their chins. They rumbled affectionately and nuzzled him, careful not to touch him with their horns. Each of them now turned, as if guided by thoughts, towards the man in the corner - who had began to sob harder.
"Have fun with him." He whispered to them, and each mountain of armor and muscle moved past Emile towards him, their rumbles turning to full blown snarls as they picked up speed, each jostling with the other to get their first.
He knew they would rip him to pieces, and as such did not need to watch. Instead he turned back to his subjects, scanning them to see their reactions.

lord beelzebub has never seen a soldier quite like me not only does his job, but does it happily Wednesday’s mood was foul. She stood near the front of the hall, dressed typically in a sharp grey pinstripe suit, purple hair falling straight down by her sides, arms folded across her chest. Her Skorupi, Tak, sat on her boots with his scorpion tail curled around her legs. Her Koffing and Mawile remained tucked away in their poke balls. Who did this ‘Emile’ think he was? He was nothing more than a child and she was yet to be impressed. Her eyes drifted to Lady Helfire, who returned Nes’ concern with a smirk. It seemed neither of the older women were impressed with this kid who was taking the place of their leader. Scara had her own concerns, with Emperor Sovereign being her cousin who had now taken leave, leaving Emile in his place and she was no convinced by his ability to lead.
Wednesday had her own problems with this change of leadership. She hadn’t spent the last few years working her way up the ranks of House Malaise for this kid to waltz in and kick her back down to the bottom wrung of the ladder. Equally, since the Star Festival, with a few drinks in their system, she and the emperor had been getting along, even shared a dance and she was frustrated to have that taken away from her. They were big boots to fill. ”I’ll give him a week..” Wednesday smirked to the woman next to her, chuckling under her breath.
There was no change in her expression as he released his pokemon to torment the poor doctor. There was something to be said for power and intimidation but it would take a lot more than that to run the Order and take over the region. She still wasn’t convinced. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Status: Complete but it's really bad. Pokemon team: Word count: 295 Experience gained: None

everybody's got a part to play to start each day in a beautiful way Dr X was a little more open to the idea of new leadership than some of the older members of the order. She was neither personally involved with the old leadership nor even belonged in one of the houses so she was rather excited to see someone new. With all the Order members called for the meeting, she had taken the opportunity to leave the laboratory.
Still dressed in her white lab coat, she stood shyly at the back of the hall, her hands clasped contently in front of her. Golden curls bounced on her shoulders and doe-like eyes peered up at the so-called new leader. Why, he was only a child. Not what she had expected! She had almost expected an older man, weathered and scarred…much like the old leader, but the young man almost pleasantly surprised her. He was attractive in his appearance, with luscious long silver hair. Her Alakazam, who waited patiently beside her, nudged her gently with one of his spoons before her googly eyes brought any attention their way.
Unlike many of the other members, she was enticed by his speech. He oozed confidence and power, which was rare in someone so young. His speech reassured her that the Order was in safe hands but his threats terrified her. Her hands reached up to cover her eyes. She couldn’t watch the two brutish Nidoking hurt the poor man and felt herself press up close to her pokemon for fear that they could turn on her. Instinctively to protect their master, Alakazam stepped infront of her, while her Hypno stood protectively behind her, with her Gengar fading into view, hovering at her shoulder. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Status: Complete but dire. I don’t really have much muse for all three characters at once. They’ll be better posts when I do them on their own Pokemon team: Word count: 277 Experience gained: None

Ashah wasn't technically a member of the Order, but the old leader had put her under Cid's jurisdiction, and so she was made to come to this stupid meeting. She didn't quite understand what was going on, all she knew was that there was a new acting leader, and that from what she knew so far, he probably wasn't much better than the old one. However, she'd actually begun to understand their former leader and although she still hadn't much liked him, atleast she knew a bit about him. And he was distantly related to her, so there was atleast a connection ...
The pink haired female didn't know why they even had a new leader, but she did know that there was no way she was going to putting up with the same rubbish as she had to previously.
With Cid trailing behind her with his trusty Mightyena, Ashah and Espeon made their way into the meeting room just a little late. Not that any of them cared. Just as Ashah wasn't too keen on new leadership, neither was Cid. The second in command had been close to The Emperor and had liked and trusted him because the man let him do whatever he wanted to, but he had no idea what this new guy was like, but he certainly planned on telling him that he was not to be bossed around.
Cid and Mightyena stood in one corner, looking over at the new leader with a sense of disdain.
Ashah on the other hand paused for a moment, before she went and did another stupid thing (as she always was) and carefully tread closer to the male, her odd eyes watching the poor defenceless doctor. While she had changed somewhat in her stay at The Order, she was still a stubborn, but very honorable person and hated to see others suffer when they had done nothing wrong. "You know this is completely unnecessary, right? Not only that but its downright brutal and disgusting. You can't come in here and jsut start killing people we know barely anything about. And you can't bring your personal life into it either - We all have our pasts."
She just never knew when to shutup ...
Cid on the other hand was grinning like a chesire cat. Perhaps he would learn to liek this guy afterall.

The sounds of screaming from the man made Emile grin. Brutus and Titan where clearly having fun with their new play toy, and the fact he was one of the men who had caused his baby girl to fade from life only made that sweeter.
"Now, do not fear. None of you can do what this man has done." He sneered at the prone form as the Nidoking brothers moved beside Emile once more, silent but clearly wanting to go back and finish the job - at the moment they'd only broken his arms and legs, not nearly as much as they wanted to do. He could feel them tensing with bloodlust and he smiled slightly at it.
He called them both back to their Pokeballs in a duo of red lights, storing them back on his belt.
"I do not wish to hurt any of you. And I hope I will not have to. But then again, If you are loyal it is as much as i can ask for. If you do your duty for me, you will not be touched. No, quite the opposite."
He paused once more, smiling.
"Many of you must be asking yourselves why I am ruler now. I can see it plain as day. I am no stranger to the world. I had a wife, a child."
His expression suddenly flipped, clearly murderous. Hate flashed across his features as he jumped to his feet, walking over he heaved the broken man up by his throat, carrying him back to the table before he was slammed roughly upon it - the man was so far gone out of conscious he couldn't make a sound but a low moan of pain.
"This man, men like him took my wife and child from me. My precious little girl is in a coma because of men like him!" He snarled, pounding his fist down beside the mans head.
"I ask that you give me your loyalty and strength. The meteorite - If i wish to see my girl again, i need it. I will reward you all if you show me your loyalty. I will take back this land for you if you aid me in what I need to save my daughter."
He tightened his lips, dropping his head for a moment to hide the small pinpricks of tears.
"The Star region shall be yours. With me as your leader, you will see a better future. ALL of you." He spoke, softly but clearly. "All I ask for is your strength. Without you I am nothing. Alone, i am nothing. United, we can make good, we can bring Order where there is chaos."
He looked up at the speaker, eyes blazing before he softened.
"That we do, Miss." He replied, his voice razor edged "But do not presume that what I just had my Nidoking do was unwarranted. This man committed a crime he cannot be allowed to live for. How long was it before he hurt someone you loved?"
He stood up, stepping closer to her - not a threat, simply so he could look into her eyes with his own.
"Killing may disgust you, but I promise you it is not something I force upon my Pokemon. They are naturally that way inclined, and even then only them two. If i am to lead, i need to be trusted. I am sure I will gain your trust in time."

Akhor's bright, electric blue eyes rested solely upon Emile. His expression was a mask of unreadable stoicism. Whether he was impressed by this new leader, or displeased like many of his colleagues, was not betrayed in the slightest. He stood near the back of the congregation, purposefully far away from the front in order to study the man without being noticed.
The male wore a black leather jacket, trimmed in gold, hung unzipped about his body. Tiny beads of water gathered on its slick surface, and rolled gently off before dripping to the ground. The smooth white cloth that made up the tank top he wore beneath proved to be much more permeable, and so was slightly dampened. A dark silver belt sat in the loops of his black, cargo-like pants, and was adorned with several pokeballs, the tops of which were obscured by the hem of the jacket. The black pants extended down into the high walls of a pair of similarly colored army boots, which were laced and tightly tied. A brilliant emerald green necklace adorned his chest, and deep within' it could be seen the engraved image of a clover.
Kyanzara, his Jolteon, sat rigidly beside him, his posture impeccable, his cobalt black eyes trained upon the speaker.
Akhor's expression didn't change in the slightest as his gaze followed the two Nidoking in the direction of the doctor. There his attention rested for a brief moment as they attacked. He did not appear bothered by the graphic scene, nor aghast at the leader's order for them to attack. Gradually, his blue eyes shifted back to Emile, who he studied in silence.
The opinion the male felt formed only in his mind, and not on his face. This man spoke of loyalty over fear, a sentiment that Akhor strongly supported. He progressed to promise harsh punishment however, something he was sure Cid would appreciate. At the thought, only his eyes shifted in glance in the direction of the other House Leader, who had just entered, and of whom he was sure would be enjoying the carnage. The smile evident on the male's face showed that he had it right. His gaze shifted momentarily to Ashah, who had entered along with him, before it quickly returned to Emile however, his study still incomplete. He did not know quite what to make of him just yet, and likely would not for a while. The young strategist did not make assumptions or come to early conclusions. He studied before solidifying a belief.
He wasn't given much of a chance to however as Ash went and, well, was Ash.
A sigh of frustration escaped the male's lips as he immediately forced his way through the crowd after her. She wasn't much inclined to him at the moment, but that didn't change the fact that he didn't want to see her beaten into a blood pulp by those two Nidoking. Kyanzara followed close on his heel as each of them appeared at her side, just as Emile came to address her.
"Please ignore her, Sir." He requested, now at Ash's side as one hand extended out to grasp her upper arm in a tight grip, "She can be rather foolish, but she's harmless."

Ashah stubbornly stood her ground as the man approached, her blue eye locked on his face while her left red one was covered by an eyepatch that she had taken to hiding her damaged eye. She appeared somewhat fierce, despite her quite petite frame (she was curvy, but she also happened to be slim, and very non-threatening in appearance). The female just so happened to have a bit of an attitude at the moment, considering what she had gone through, and she was one of the most stubborn people you would ever meet.
"That's funny," She said with a fake air of amusement, "Because all my loved ones are already dead. Thanks to The Order. Him especially-" And she pointed over her shoulder towards Cid who merely looked over and smirked his famous smirk. "So your point is a little invalid. Anyway, two wrongs don't make a right, and while I sympathise with you, executing that man infront of an audience is simply barbaric. First impressions matter the most."
It was quite clear that she was not going to trust Emile very easily, or like him for that matter.
Then ofcourse Akhor had to go and appear, and do one of the things that Ashah didn't want him to do right now; touch her. The female immediately growled and attempted to pull away from him. "Get off of me, Akhor." She wasn't on very good terms with the male right now, and she barely even wanted to look at him, so his interference was rather frustrating to her, not to mention she was trying to tell their new leader how much she already despised him. He had no right to interupt!
At that moment Cid began to approach, saluting to some of the other members as he passed, still smirking like there was no tomorrow. He came to stand infront of Emile, "If you like, I can get rid of her." He obviously meant in a way that would likely hurt the poor misguided girl. Cid just loved his violence.
Espeon on the other hand wasn't very pleased at the idea, and hissed at the man, who simply ignored her.

Jerro had remained silent up until this time. He had no idea what made him move now- perhaps it was that someone dare disrespect the Emperor. He may have been new, but he was still the Emperor, and as he was a member of The Emperor's House, it was his duty to serve the Emperor first and foremost. Even if it put him in insane danger against opponents fifty times stronger than he. Chimchar was all ready out, and had been standing next to Jerro the entire time. Now, when she sensed the sudden change in Jerro's demeanor, her entire personage changed. Her lips pulled back into a snarl, and Jerro had to resist the urge to send her forward at the one who was speaking up against the new leader. He would first see if the situation would defuse itself.
Jerro didn't exactly approve of the new leader's methods. The attack on the man had been a graphic way of getting a point across. However, his cause for doing what he had done was a good one. His family had apparently been damaged beyond repair by the man and several other colleagues of his. He could approve of his punishment. He just wished it couldn't have been so... public. He did have to admit that the man, Emile, could get his point across quite well. Chimchar continued to snarl, and took several steps forward. Jerro reached out and scolded her with a slap to the back of the head. She didn't move a step forward. However, he didn't stop her from continuing her growling and snarling.
"Say the word, my Emperor, and your House will not allow such a disrespectful act to go unpunished..." muttered Jerro quietly, although he didn't particularly care if anyone around him heard what he had said to himself. Suddenly having an idea, he reached to his other PokeBall he had brought with him, and released the Pokemon that was inside. Lillipup formed beside Chimchar, and her calm grace help to slightly ease the tension out of the air. However, it only worked to a certain effect. Meaning, it managed to stop Chimchar's violent shaking that was a result of having to restrain herself. "Now, be careful, you two. We must be careful not to anger any of the leaders of the Houses. Unless the Emperor so commands, and that would be to the entire House, then we will not move from this spot," whispered Jerro to his Pokemon. Then, he stood to attention and focused on not yelling at the woman that had spoken up in such a disgustingly rude way. This was his first time seeing her, but so far, he didn't exactly like what he saw.

While she had been working for the Order for five years already, Eva's lack of solid leadership skills and her contentment with where she was meant that her rank within the organization was still... not very impressive. This, consequently, put her smack in the middle of the massive crowd of Order members, standing among the rest of the lower rankers as the new leader stood before them all and made his speech.
Eva rubbed Mercury's back absentmindedly as she listened, in order to keep her quiet. You never knew when the young Cyndaquil in her arms would burst into a fit of crying at something arbitrary, and although Eva herself didn't mind the noise at all, she knew there were many, many people in the vicinity that would. Ammonium, on the other hand, was comparatively much better trained than Mercury; the Skitty stood attentively at his owner's feet, although all he could see from his vantage point near the floor was a sea of legs.
When the new leader's two Nidoking began their violent and bloody rampage against the poor doctor, Eva silently put a hand over Mercury's eyes. She was still a baby; she didn't need to see this. What the breeder had conveniently forgotten, however, was that Mercury still had ears and could hear every one of the man's screams of agony quite clearly. The Cyndaquil squirmed, trying to peek over her owner's fingers and pinpoint the source of the unfamiliar sound, while Eva merely watched on in a slight daze.
When a young woman stepped up and directly challenged the new leader, Eva blinked in surprise. It was less due to how the woman had spoken up so boldly, but more so because she was so familiar; the length of time the breeder spent around the base's indoor farm meant that she recognised quite a few people who frequented around there, even if she wasn't so wont to start chitchatting every time she saw them.
And who would frequent the farm more than its manager, Miss Ashah?
Uncharacteristic of most Order members though, the airheaded young breeder didn't hold any hostile feelings towards Ashah at her little outburst; it was more like a vague confusion than anything. Far unlike, say, the reaction elicited from the man standing nearby with his Chimchar and Lillipup. Clearly, he wasn't exactly happy with the turn of events. Distracted from the confrontation going on right in front of them, Eva's gaze drifted curiously over to the man as he muttered something to his Pokémon, while Ammonium stared at the Chimchar and the Lillipup with his head cocked to the side, as if trying to scrutinise the two strange species.
[ ooc ] blahh late, but I figured this could be like a little... introductory thing of sorts for Ev? ^^;
