Darren had an idea of why he was in the meadow, but Amphy still seemed a little lost. The Ampharos looked around for a moment and then let out a soft bleating sound, much like that of the sheep she had evolved from. Darren was a long ways away from Corel City, but he didn't really mind. Amphy had wanted to come here, or so it had seemed she had expressed, but now that she was here, in this nice meadow, she was looking around in a dazed, or so Darren thought, state.
The man sighed, walking up to his Pokemon and placing a hand on her little arm. She turned her head, tilting it to one side. Then she suddenly started to walk away, toward something on the horizon. Darren trotted after her, almost tempted to let out Pepper. Then he sighed, realizing that the Peliper would just be an annoyance. He had a way of getting under Darren's skin and staying there. Silly bird brain.
The male came to a halt when Amphy did, and he stepped around her, looking at the vast amount of wild flowers. He shook his head, sitting down with a thunk on a rock, watching as the Pokemon dropped to all fours and began to graze. Yep, that was why they where here. Amphy loved this grass.

Rolling her shoulders to loosed them after having been walking for the better part of half a day with a much heavier pack than most trainers carried, Galena tried to suppress her irritation. Her first stop in Reinshaw had been to check the Gym with the hope of challenging the Leader, only to find that he was out at the moment, and most likely would be for a while. She had checked several of the other Gyms in the towns on the way with the hope of finding one that might push her and her team to their limits, only to find that none of them really measured up, although the the last three had come fairly close. Still, what she'd wanted was one that would make them work for a win - after all, what the hell fun was a fight without any challenge?
As her eyes, almost taking on the appearance of only having thin pupils and no irises, scanned the meadows, Galena figured that where they were was as good a place as any. At the very least it was the place she'd felt most comfortable since passing through the Sira desert since both the heat and humidity reminded her of Hoenn, although the lack of trees made her feel slightly on edge - after growing up in Petalburg which was surrounded by trees and had even incorporated them into the city, wide open spaces were something of an oddity to her. Shrugging off her bag and letting it land on the ground with a solid thud, Galena pulled the three Pokeballs loose from her belt and opened them in her hands, releasing Grovyle, Haunter and Beedrill all at once. Grovyle, simply content to enjoy the heat, simply lay against her bag and began to doze off as she herself stood up, Haunter simply staying withing a few feet of her. Beedrill, after letting out an unhappy buzz about the wildflowers being too small to extract nectar from, simply began to fly around at random in hopes of finding something worth eating.

Darren had relented at last in letting out Koal. The Torkoal wasn't as interested in the plants as Amphy was, but he none the less lay by Darren's side, looking out at the other Pokemon. Darren, letting out a more or less low sigh, looked out across the expanse of the meadow.
As he was looking, he noticed a couple of things. There was a Beedrill buzzing about, and, as far as Darren could tell, nothing else. Amphy's head came up quickly all of a sudden. She rocked up onto her hind legs, letting out a low bleating noise and then standing up to her full height.
Darren inclined his head at the Pokemon, eyes narrowing just slightly. Amphy was moving quickly all of a sudden, at a trot pace away from Darren and toward the Beedrill. Darren shook his head, pushing himself up. "Amph? Come on now girl, don't go near that thing," Amphy paused and turned her head, and then kept walking, though she was walking now.
