Name: Slate Aspen
New or Old: Just joined.
Experience: I have been RPing for seven years, and while I usually RP intermediate casually, I am fully capable of the advanced level.
Why you: I am fairly experienced in Pokemon RPing, and know the lore and mechanics by heart - I've been playing since the original Red and Blue, and still play the more recent titles. Apart from that, I've had yet to make anyone wait for more than two days for a post short of circumstances beyond my control (power outages, internet issues, etc), and frankly I enjoy how the site is set up - I like the fact that it focuses on writing and story telling rather than a slavish devotion to stats and such that I see on the other Pokemon RP sites I've visited.
RP Sample: (I'm going to follow Marion's example here - my best work so far has been done as Lelouch on another board.)
Replacing the contact over what appeared to be a normal, albeit startling violet, left eye with a fading red birdshaped sigil on it, Lelouch walked out of the broadcasting station, dressed in brown pants, a black shirt and brown jacket. While he had no idea how he'd gotten to where he was a year ago, he'd wasted absolutely no time in finding out where he was, and even more to his shock when he was. The last thing he could remember was Nunnally's face after Suzaku had killed him and fulfilled the Zero Requiem, although something had obviously been out of place. What had confused him even more apart from his current circumstances was the fact that he had awoken on what had turned out to be a completely different planet than the one he had originated from, only managing to return to this Earth after several months. Walking down the stairwell, Lelouch exited the building casually and began walking along the sidewalk.
Still, according to this world's history the Zero Requiem had, or rather should have been a success back in his own world and time - while the historical records were horribly corrupted and fragmented as a result of the event that had simply been referred to as the Purge, he'd at least been able to piece together what had happened. And that was exactly where his plan had failed - the instant that his world had become linked to these parallel realities. While he had managed to unite his own world, he hadn't ever considered the possibility of other worlds connecting to his own, a foolish oversight, especially given his own experiences in the C's World.
While he had initially tried to live a normal life, the one he had once cast aside in his hatred of his father and his desire to protect his sister, a task made so much easier by the fact that the historical records made no mention of his name after 2017 of his world's calender and by the fact that no one from his own world or time seemed to have survived or followed him. Still, he'd found that he'd been unable to look away from the atrocities he'd witnessed in the reality he'd awoken in, and considered it a blow to his pride that the Zero Requiem had been foiled by a fluke. And so he had decided that he would once again don the mask of Zero, and although that time was almost upon him, he still had a few obstacles he would need to overcome if he was to succeed in this particular endeavor for the last pieces to fall into place. This particular region had proved unusually difficult to manipulate given the city's isolation from the rest of the world - while desert cities were by no means unique, this particular one had no roads or railways leading to it nor airports for aerial transportation. On top of that he had found that he couldn't use his Geass indiscriminately in the city and had needed to be exact in his commands given that the authorities, the entities they referred to as Death and the Shibusen in particular, were well set up to counter infiltration. While he'd discovered that it wasn't made that way to counter abilities like his, it still demanded more caution than he was already used to exercising.
As his left eye stung slightly Lelouch resisted the impulse to reach up and rub it. Of course, after several months of liberal use his Geass was bound to begin to reach that point, which in itself presented another mystery. Why had it reverted to it's base stages when he had awoken? Before Suzaku had "killed" him, it had reached it's maximum potential, the inevitable outcome of a runaway Geass. As far as he knew it was impossible for someone to forcibly revert a Geass to it's original form - the closest thing Lelouch knew of it happening was when his father had sealed away his own. It was exactly the kind of question he would have asked C.C. if he knew how to locate or contact her since she of all people would still be alive, but in her abscence he was forced to simply use caution and wear the contact for when it did finally evolve again.
