Seedot continued to wait out the Shadow Ball, eyes narrowed on the large amount of energy the Skorupi was forming in his claws. He was focused, and was ready to take the Shadow Ball and give it right back to the Skorupi. Lucas had his fists clenched, waiting for somebody to do something. A bead of sweat ran down the side of his face, as the moment was very tense. Seedot took a deep breath, as he wasn't fully healed yet. However, he was healed enough to keep on fighting.
Soon, the Skorupi couldn't hold it in anymore, and the Pokemon released it straight at the Seedot. "Alright, you know what to do! Bide!" Lucas called out. Seedot nodded, and a white aura enveloped his body. The Shadow Ball hit him, but it was quickly absorbed. Right when the ball was fully absorbed, the Skorupi was right in Seedot's face with a crushing Bite attack. "Quickly, release it!" Lucas called. The white aura changed to a light purple, and he released a beam right into the Skorupi's Bite attack. This caused an explosion, and Seedot was thrown out of the smoke and dust leftover and landed on his back on the ground.
"Seedot!" Lucas called. He was about to rush over to his Pokemon, but stopped when he saw his Seedot slowly getting up. He was breathing extremely heavily, and there were cuts and bruises all over him. However, sheer willpower was giving him the strength to keep on going. "Seedot, stop. Your gonna really hurt yourself if you keep going!" Lucas said angrily. Seedot didn't budge one inch, showing he was going to stay on the battlefield. "Seedot..." Lucas sighed, and shook his head. 'Your too stubborn for your own good. Your gonna hurt yourself really badly one day...' Lucas thought.
Seedot jumped from one foot to the other, showing he still wanted to battle. Lucas was rubbing the back of his neck, almost chuckling at his Seedot's determination to win. They both waited for the smoke to clear, wondering the status of the Skorupi.

There was very little Wednesday could do but wait for the smoke to clear from the explosion. The sheer power of the two attacks had caused a greater explosion than probably either of them had anticipated. Skorupi had flung himself at Seedot, landing a bite attack before he was swept up in the commotion. The scorpion was flung back at high speeds, propelled by the very dark matter he had summoned moments before hand. His body was already battered and bruised from the scuffle and his impact with the ground was almost enough to finish him off. He collided with force, smashing his back off one to the rocks and falling to the ground.
He was still immobile as the smoke cleared, lying motionless on the ground beneath a rocky outcrop. "Tak, give up, it's not worth hurting yourself!" Nes shouted, trying to coax her pokemon back. Wobbling, he slowly raised to his feet. His steps were slow and uneven. But he refused to give in. Instead of heading in the direction of the woman, his bleary eyes were focused on the Seedot as he pulled his tired body back into the battle field. Tak was refusing to give up, just as stubborn as the little Seedot and he would put all of his energy into one last bite attack. There would be no time to summon another shadow ball, equally, he was so exhausted he probably couldn't muster enough energy to create a blast much bigger than a pea so bite was a last ditch effort. The approach was slow, there was plenty of time for Seedot to make a move if he had the energy left but nothing could deter the Skorupi, not even the likelihood of fainting.

Seedot knew he could only use Bide. He knew that he had to get hit for that attack to take effect. He also knew that if he got hit once more he would faint. So as the Skorupi crawled closer and closer, the Seedot backed up slowly. He couldn't take another attack with Bide and then send it back, he would faint before he could even fire the beam. Unfortunately, he refused to back down, which would only lead to his own demise. Soon Seedot reached a wall, and the Skorupi was closing in for one final attack. He was pressed against the wall, and all he could do was wait for the Skorupi to finish it.
<...No. Noooo!> Seedot yelled, and suddenly there was blue outlining his body. A large piece of rock from a nearby wall also turned blue, and it broke off the wall and started floating over towards the Skorupi. It started to crack, and it broke into many pieces that would fall on the Skorupi if he didn't get out the way. Lucas started at his Pokemon in awe, then quickly reached into his pocket and took out his Pokedex. "What on earth? Seedot don't learn Rock Slide..." Lucas said, very confused.
'Nature Power, a Normal-Type Move. It's an attack that makes use of nature's power. Its effects vary depending on the user's environment.'
Lucas was still a little confused, but he put his Pokedex away and looked around to try and figure out why Seedot used Rock Slide. "...Oooh, we're in a rocky enviorment! Duh." Lucas said, shaking his head at himself. The rocks would fall and cause dust and debree to be scattered, so all Lucas and Seedot could do was wait for everything to clear. Deja vu...

As slow as Tak's advance was, his reaction to the rock slide was even slower. He had succeeded in pushing him back into a corner but there was no time for him to bite before the Seedot unleashed his hidden power in a blinding flash of blue. His legs were too tired for him to run from the rocks and stones that rained down upon him. A few of the smaller ones he managed to avoid but the larger ones crashed into him without fail. The first landed on his already damaged tail. A second medium sized rock landed on his back, knocking him to the ground. A third knocked on the scorpions head. As the dust cleared, the skorupi lay immobile and unconscious in the dirt.
Nes rushed over from her spot, scooping him up in her arms, waiting for him to come to. "Well, congratulations, I guess you win", she conceded bitterly.

Seedot watched the Skorupi crushed by a few rocks. As soon as he saw Nes run towards her Pokemon, he knew he had finally won. So with a sigh of relief, he fell back and sat against the wall he was originally pressed against. <It's over..> Seedot said, looking up into the sky. He had a happy look on his face; his first battle with his trainer was won, and he was proud. He turned to his trainer for a moment, then decided to close his eyes and take a nap. After an intense battle like that, Seedot did deserve a rest.
"Return Seedot. Awesome job." Lucas said with a smile. He recalled his Pokemon into his Pokeball in a red beam of light, then stared at the Pokeball for a few seconds. "Really awesome job Seedot." He said before placing the Pokeball back into his pocket. He then turned to Nes, who seemed upset about her loss to Lucas. "I guess so. It was a great battle. Your Skorupi's strong." Lucas said, looking at the badly damaged Skorupi. "He'll be okay, right?" Lucas said worriedly; he didn't mean to nor want to hurt the Skorupi too badly.
Gliscor noticed the battle was over and began to flew down towards the ground. He landed next to Lucas, and looked at him with a goofy expression on his face; one that had to make Lucas laugh. He turned to Nes with this same silly look on, trying to lighten up the mood and make her laugh as well. "Sorry, Gliscor may be evolved but he's still a baby I suppose." Lucas said with a shake of his head. Gliscor only laughed and flew back up into the sky, doing a few acrobatic tricks as he got higher and higher.
"Hey, I've got another Pokemon I need to train. If you have any other Pokemon that you, you know, wanna train, maybe we could go again?" Lucas asked a little nervously. He wasn't sure if Nes would wanna battle again after he just beat her Skorupi.

"Thank you.." Nes acknowledged with a nod. For it being their first battle together, she had to admit that Skorupi had done a fairly good job, taking advantage of everything around him and not giving up. "He'll be alright..." she smiled, looking down at the fainted pokemon. Reaching for the pokeball, she squeezed it gently, the red light wrapped around Tak and pulling his soul back into the ball. He deserved a good rest.
"Another battle?", Wednesday inquired with a cock of her head. Having just suffered a slightly embarrassing defeat to nothing more than an acorn, she was unsure of sullying her name even more. Her Mawile was still only level 5 and would hardly fair in another battle, especially against a stronger opponent. "I'm sure I could squeeze in another battle...if you are sure you're up for it" she agreed, digging around in her pocket for her third pokeball. Tossing it onto the field, it erupted in red light, manifesting into the round floating pokemon. She had almost forgot of her recent Koffing purchase from the adoption centre. The opportunity hadn't arose to use him in a battle until now.
<Koooooffffffffff!> he roared, expelling a cloud of gas from his pores. He hovered contently infront of Nes. "Are you still sure you want to battle?" she asked. Koffing peered intently at Lucas, waiting for him to select a pokemon, clearly eager to battle.

"Yea, I'm up for it. Looks like you Koffing is up for it too." Lucas said with a chuckle at the Koffing's roar of his own name. A confident one, this Pokemon. So, the logical thing to do would be to send out another confident Pokemon of his to battle. 'Elekid? Nah...Corphish!' Lucas thought before reaching into his pocket and grabbing a Pokeball. He stared at it, and thought for a moment. 'Is she strong enough? She's confident, that's for sure...She can do it!' Lucas thought. He then threw the Pokeball into the air, and a white beam emitted from the ball to form a Corphish on the ground.
"Coor!" She yelled out, opening and closing her claws. She released bubbles into the air, which popped and exploded after reaching a certain height. She then let out another "Coor!". "Ferocious." Lucas said sarcastically, following his comment with a chuckle underneath his breath. "I see your ready for battle too." Lucas commented. Corphish nodded her head, and pointed at the Koffing while violently opening and closing her claws. "Alright Corphish! Let's start this off with a nice 'ol Bubble attack!" Lucas called out, pointing at the Koffing.
Corphish nodded, and got a little bit closer to the poison gas Pokemon before extending it's claws to point at the Koffing. He then opened up his claw and shot a multitude of bubbles at the Koffing. When the Bubble attack would get close enough to Koffing, they would explode and cause damage. Gliscor looked down from the sky, and noticed another battle going on. This time, however, he decided to watch from a closer view. So, he flew down from the skies above and perched himself atop a cliff right next to the area where the battle was taking place.

Wednesday waited with a curious anticipation for the pokemon he would send out against her Koffing. Her eyes caught Gliscor as he took off into the air again, circling them. What other pokemon would he have in his team that would complement the skills of his Gliscor and Nuzleaf? What pokemon did he had that he thought would have a chance against SIR? The Koffing was new to her team and this was his first opportunity to prove himself but he erupted from the pokeball with confident attitude and flair that she had no doubt he would fit perfectly in her team.
From his pokeball the Corphish formed on the ground a few feet away from where the poison pokemon was hovering. And it too, was raring to go, clicking its claws furiously up at Koffing. He seem unphased and floated back and forth gently, waiting for the first attack. "She looks tough. I can't imagine her when she evolves" Nes acklnowledged, smiling at Lucas. The Corphish was cute as it was but when it evolved, she had no doubt she would be a powerful battler for Lucas. But right now, she was confident her Koffing would have an advantage.
Koffing hovered back and forth, eyes narrowed in a glare at the Corphish as she let loose her stream of bubbles. He made very little attempt to move out of the way, knowing even if he tried to avoid some, his large purple body would still no doubt get hit by some. Quite a few past him without causing any damage, while others hit him straight on, exploding on his chest causing damage. He barely grimaced, taking the attacks in his stride, showing off to the water type that he wasn't afraid of her or her attacks. "Good show, Koffing" Nes smirked confidently. "Now use Smog". Koffing seems to pulsated, expanding and contracting, puffing large quantities of thick black smog from its pores which flooded the battle field. The thick cloud engulfed both of them, restricting their vision to only a foot or two in front of them until the wind would pick up and clear the cloud. In the darkness, Koffing plunged down from the towards where the Corphish had stood intending to tackle her while she was blinded by the poisonous gas.

Lucas coughed for a second or two and took a few steps back, covering his mouth and nose area with his sleeve. The Smog attack was covering mostly the battlefield, but some of it was starting to wander over to where he was standing. He rubbed his nose with his sleeve, and blinked his now watery eyes a few times before getting back into the swing of things. Now unable to see his Pokemon, Lucas was unsure of what he should do. He stayed calm, and took a moment to think as he waited for the smoke to clear out.
Meanwhile, inside the thick, black, poisonous fog that was the Koffing's Smog attack was a Corphish. She was standing in the smoke, looking around frantically for a few seconds while coughing before deciding she needed to get out of there as soon as possible. She tried to just walk in the same direction, figuring that eventually she would be out of the smoke. However, every time she tried to leave the smoky area a force that she couldn't see would tackle her back in. The longer she stayed in there, the more her lungs would get filled with the toxic stuff, so she realized she needed to get out of there before she became poisoned.
She could either sit there and wait for the wind to pick up, or take matters into her own hands. She chose the latter; she knew Lucas couldn't tell her to do anything, so she would have to do it herself. She started to use Bubble, only not in the air. She used it on the ground around her, and when the bubbles popped a splash of water was released. The water caused the smoke to disperse, sort of as if the water was cleaning the air, and before long Corphish had some breathing room once more.
However, the Smog was still there, and Koffing was still hidden in it's thick fog. This time though, when the Koffing rushed at her with a Tackle attack, she would be able to see it a couple seconds before it happened, and would aim an open claw at the gas Pokemon to shoot explosive bubbles at it. Lucas could do nothing but bite his fingernails as he heard the sound of water splashing and small explosions. He was starting to get nervous, and if the smoke didn't clear soon then he would end up running in there to find his Pokemon.

Koffing was contented to remain cloaked in the shadows of the smog, rushing his body at the Corphish when she moved from her position, doing his best to keep her in the centre of the fog where he would have the upper hand. The confidence oozed from him, he floated with confidence, verging on arrogance as moved in closer for another attack. So confident he was infact, he had not noticed the slow dispersing of fumes in the middle of the cloud where the small stream of bubbles burst around the fish, giving her clean air and the opportunity to strike.
As he flung his inflated purple body at the Corphish, she was whirled around, clipping him with a stream of bubbles for her claws, knocking the gas pokemon to the ground. He landed with a thud, bouncing back a few feet. Faint yellow stars whirled around his head, obscuring his vision. His daze rendered him defenseless for those few precious moments the crab-type could take full advantage of. The wind that lingered as a soft breeze had began to pick up, blowing with enough force to completely dishevel the young woman's long purple hair and it danced in the air like an uncontrollable blaze. The thick purple fumes of the smog began to dissipate until the site was clear of the toxic fumes giving both trainers back full view of the battle. "Get up!" Nes hissed, unimpressed by her usually powerful Koffing reduced to a deflated mass on the ground. "Leer!" she ordered fiercely. Corphish would no doubt take the opportunity to get in close of SIR while he lay motionless on the ground - whether Lucas ordered to or not - to a position where she could land a direct hit on him as she was currently stuck attacking from the ground up. If he couldn't reinflate by the time she was upon him, Wednesday hoped he could land a threatening leer to lower her defensive before he took back to the skies. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Status: Complete.
