Being alone in the world wasn’t something Kash was used to, as of right now he had no pokemon with him. It was a weird start for him, he’s always so used to having someone to talk to even if they couldn’t respond to him. It was something about having that company that didn’t drive Kash crazy like he was acting now. He took a deep breath before looking over his shoulder at how busy the pokecenter was today. His pokemon were in there, he kind of wanted them back soon. It was his own fault that they got hurt, he shouldn’t push them as hard as he did but it was typical Kash to go hard until something bad happened. He would need to learn from his mistakes soon.
He yawned before sitting down on one of the tables, his eyes scanned to see if he knew any of the trainers in the center but he had no such luck. The saying was true, one is the loneliest number you can ever have. Being alone brought up the worse emotions one could have, he began to think about Jhoto (his home land) and his pokemon team that his school snatched from him. He raised those pokemon for seven years and right when he was about to leave for his real journey they took them without a rhyme or a reason. Kash would be the downfall off that school even if he had to torch it down.

Ash had a similar feeling right now. It had only been a few days since she woke up, injured, and was told that her family were dead. They'd been crushed by the house as it was knocked down and burnt to the ground. By her Uncle. She had always known that the man was messed up and he wasn't the kindest soul around, but to order the murder of his own family was going to far, even for a man such as himself. He probably hadn't even expected anyone to survive either, as Ashah had done. But now she just wished she'd died to.
The female walked into the pokemon centre, wearing a white vest decorated with buckles and a shoulder pad, and a seude skirt with little black shorts underneath, and a pair of long army-type boots. Her pinkish hair was wavy and flung over one shoulder, and just by those things she could have appeared normal, but her usual odd eyes were sad, and tear filled, though the tears themselves were not coming loose. Her right eye was now clouded over and had a scar running across it - in the accident she had become blind. One of her arms was bruised, as well as one of her legs. She didn't look her usual self at all.
Following beside the girl was a Growlithe, her faithful companion of which she never placed in a pokeball. He was her friend, and the only family she had left, in her mind.
She was at the center merely for something to do, as she'd just visited her home again. The building was entirely in ruins, but she couldn't help but to go back there every now and then, just to get away from her Uncle and closed off Akhor. It made her sad every time she saw it, but she didn't know what else to do. That was why she was here now - but her head was in the clouds, and she didn't even notice that there was someone she knew there. Someone who might be able to help her feel better.
Growlithe on the other hand recognised Kash's scent, and immediate pounded over like the puppy that he was and pretty much tackled Kash, in order to lick his face.

”Your pokemon are ready sir.” Nurse Joy said in a singsong voice as he picked them up, both his abra and his murkrow were well-rested in their pokeballs. Abra hung from his silver necklace whereas his Murkrow had been on his belt. His main pokemon he would be training was Abra so he would be the pokemon he would set his sights on for now. He wanted a Alakazam as soon as possible, they were strong. Also, a telekinetic bond would help greatly between his pokemon. If he didn’t need to speak his attacks, it would greatly help his tactics.
He smiled as he sat back down; his hand began to get attacked as he freaked out a bit. ”Woah.” he mumbled as he saw his old friend Storm, he was easily recognizable by the amount of pep and energy he had. Just by the way he wagged his tail he could tell that he belonged to his previous traveling-partner Ashah. He saw her standing alone kind of looking out of it. He fell to the floor with one of Growlie’s mighty tackle/licks. ”Ah silly pup. Get off.” he smirked as he stood up and wiped the dirt he got. Motioning for the Growlithe to follow he walked about to Ash and spoke ”Boo.” he then picked her up and gave her a great bear hug. ”How’ve you been girlie? Life treating ya okay?” he tugged her along to one of the tables. She didn’t look well at all as he sat across from her. He really did worry for her well being, in all the time that they traveled together she never ever looked this depressed. It looked like a bus hit her. He cringed slightly before taking her hands in his, ”I’m here for you.” all he could really do was comfort her and when she was ready, she would talk.

Growlithe was always a happy little thing because Ashah treated him well, like part of the family. He was allowed to sleep on her bed, eat at the table and go wherever his masters went. Well, master now because the others were forever gone. Even Growlithe missed them, and sometimes would whimper in the night, but he did his best to look after Ashah because she needed care right nowq. She was not handling things well at the moment, and she was still hurting after the accident. Still half blind to, so he helped her out where that was concerned as well.
The pokemon barked happily however, glad to see a friendly human about, when Kash spoke to him and then he followed obediently after him as the male headed towards Ashag, who still looked a little lost and out of it. He came to stand beside his owner, looking up at them both.
Ashah was taken by surprised as Kash picked her up in a bear hug, but she immediately hugged him back, though somewhat weakly. It was nice to be able to talk to someone she knew and trusted. Someone she could talk to. He was one of the few people that she let touch her as well, despite that being quite a big fear of hers. She didn't speak to him just yet however, inside allowing him to lead her over to a table, where she sat down and placed her hands infront of her on the table, leaning against the structure, her eyes downcast.
How had life been treating her? Horribly, actually. She looked up when Kash took her hands, and then back down again as she spoke rather quietly. "My parents and Akira ..." She paused and took a breath, obviously finding it hard to speak about it. "They were killed nearly a week ago. I was found in time. Our house was burnt down with us all inside." Even though she wanted to cry properly, her body wouldn't allow it. The tears were there, but they weren't leaving her eyes at all. She supposed she was still in shock over the whole thing.

He knew something was off with his friend she wasn’t acting very normal. Well normal for Ash. She always was at least a little happy-go-lucky whenever they talked and now she was pure stone. He was somewhat weary to speak to her, to try and soothe her mourning heart. It was difficult to get over a death, especially finding out that she was the only survivor of her entire family. She was alone in the world; the best thing he could really do was to make sure that he was there for her. ”Well you have my number if you ever need to talk.” first and foremost he needed to reiterate the fact he was fully here for her. His hand went under the table to where Storm was, he petted the dog trying to show him that he was the only reason Ash had been alive. She had one piece of her family that she needed to protect and he was it. He offered her a weak smile before he apologized, ”I’m so sorry. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. I don’t want you to relive it really but how did you manage to survive?” in his head she either watched it but by the way she was speaking it sounded as if she was inside of the house as well.
He moved over to her side of the table and just hugged her, he smelt good too and he didn’t put on too much cologne so his scent wouldn’t overwhelm his friend. She needed to grieve; she probably had no one to do this with. Kash really did feel bad for Ash. When they were with each other nothing was like this at all, they had a decently good time with each other. They joked around, drank a bit and overall acted like normal teenagers/adolescents who were training pokemon and just wanted to have a good time. He wouldn’t overwhelm his friend with a million questions yet; he just needed to get the whole story out of her. After she told it to somebody she would feel better, not by much but just enough to start living her life a little instead of looking like a dead zombie.

Growlith pushed his head up against Kash's hand as the male petted him, knowing what the male was trying to tell him. Growlith planned to be there for Ash for as long as she needed him. After all, he was loyal to her, and she to him. They never went anywhere without each other, and they felt like family. They were also all eachother had now - Growlith had Ashah, and he was just glad that she was okay, despite the injuries she had sustained, and that scars that would plague her for the rest of her life, and Ashah had him to take care of her, and to make her feel better when she most needed it.
Ash knew that Kash would be there for her, just as Growlithe always was, but the point of the matter was that she didn't really know how to express her feelings at the moment. Everything was so wrong, and she couldn't believe what had happened. Her Uncle killed his own brother, and two other innocent people. Ash was lucky that she had survived and she knew that all too well, but that didn't mean that she was happy about it. Now she had to live with the fact that she was alone in the world, and that things would never be the same again.
She listened to his words, and remained silent, and deep in thought as Kash made his way over to her side and proceeded and wrap his arms around her. The pink haired girl leaned into him and against his chest, comforted by his warmth and kindness and finding it to be quite soothing as she rested her head against his chest, her eyes still staring straight ahead, though her right could see only darkness. "Dad ... He protected me from the falling debris with his own body. I went out cold, but when I woke up I was being tended to by a Trainer, named Akhor, and his pokemon ... If he hadn't found me I would have been ..." She wanted to say 'dead to' but she couldn't bring herself to do it.
It was too hard to think about.

This was hard for Kash to deal with, he never really dealt with a loss ever so to imagine her losing all the family that mattered to her was difficult. His right arm rubbed her side trying to give her some sort of comfort, but honestly time was the best healing process ever. The scar was fresh; she had been so wounded that any frail movements could crush her. She may never heal to the point where she can go a single day without crying but regardless Kash would be here for her. He rested his head on hers before listening to her story. The sole survivor of the family, how could one be so heartless that he would destroy his family. What could have mattered so much that he decided that killing someone off was the best way of dealing with problems.
What else could Kash do except for sit there and comfort her, she needed to mourn. ”Your dad was a very noble man, I can assume. Akhor? I don’t think I ever met him before.” his mind did a quick search to try and remember anyone with such an obscure name. ”Have you had a little funeral for them yet? A sort of thing where you can put them to rest in your heart and as well as on the earth. I think that would help you a lot, right now you have so much to deal with. You should work on one thing at a time.” he had no idea what she was doing but she could use some general direction, ideas were good things.
”You’re truly blessed to be alive. There’s a reason why you were giving a second chance Ash.” he hugged her once again, ”You know, it’s okay to cry. Crying is a process to grieve, it does not mean weakness.”

The pain would never go away, of that Ashah was sure, but she hoped that with time she would feel better. She didn't believe that this would be any time soon, but time was a healer, and she just had to be patient. It was just that right now she felt so lost, and depressed and she didn't know what to do with her life. Where did she start? She had no home, no belongings, or clothes and she had to borrow those from someone else, and the only family she had was Cid. And he just happened to be the one who had caused the female all of this pain. She would never forgive him for what he had done.
"Their bodies were taken away a few days ago, and they were buried." She said robotically, almost without emotion, though inwardly she was being torn apart. She thought about them every second of the day, and it always hurt just as much as it did when she was first told they were dead. Like her heart was being ripped open over and over again. It was so painful. "I didn't go to the funeral." She added even more quietly. The ordeal had been too hard for her, and she'd not been able to bring herself to do it. She regretted it now, but she really hadn't been able to.
The female might have gotten through this without feeling worse than she already did, but when Kash pointed out that it was okay to cry, she knew it to be triue, and suddenly felt guilty. She felt bad that she hadn't cried yet, even though it wasn't really her fault. She had wanted to, but she couldn't. Now that she was being told to cry though, she couldn't help but let the tears fall, and all of her bottled emotions began to come to surface along with those salty tears, as they were about to be let out like an explosion.
"I should have died to, Kash." She said darkly, quickly becoming quite emotional. "If they had to die, then I should have to. It's not fair!" She rose up from her seat and took a few steps backwards, pulling her fingers through her hair in frustration as her emotions flared. "What kind of a man would kill his own brother? Murder his own family?" She asked, not realising that she hadn't actually told Kash who had done it. She would elaborate if he asked however, though it would be hard to say.
The female stepped even further backwards, until her back was against the wall, and her hands were still in her hair, almost ready to start ripping it out in clumps. "He's left me with nothing. What kind of a cowardly man could do that? They're gone and they're not coming back ... What am I supposed to do without them?" As she spoke she became more hysterical, until atlast her eyes were pouring rivers of tears, and she began to slide down against the wall, sinking to her knees, and hunching over as her fingers gripped her won hair tightly. "I want them back ... I want them back."
At this pont she couldn't stop herself crying, or her body shaking. She was breaking down.

This was surpringly healthy for a mourner, she needed to let out all of her emotions. No matter how violent and rage-filled they would be. He just kept a tight grip on his friend, as long as he was there nothing could harm her. ”Let it all out.” is all he said as he continued to hug her. He just digested all of the new information trying to clear the hazy puzzle pieces with the facts that she had just given him. ”Revenge is a bitter drink me friend, but I promise you. I will take down your uncle whoever he is, I will raise my pokemon up and once I believe that they are strong enough I will show him that he is nothing. After he loses you can ask him whatever you need to, granted. This might take a while Ash but I promise you, I will do this for you.” he knew that Ash wasn’t a battler and in this day and age dominance wasn’t shown at how much you could lift but rather how strong your pokemon were and right now Kash was a beginner but he would help her, it would be his reason for training.
”When you’re ready we can do to a nearby river and have a separate ceremony for you. You need to put them at rest, and you need peace within yourself if you want to move on with your life.” the anger overwhelmed her but it was understandable, ”If you think like that, then your entire family died in vain. There was a reason you were spared, your father knew that you would be the best hope to redeeming them. They did but not without some sort of fight and they succeeded. You are alive, as I said you just need to figure out why they kept you alive and try your best to figure out why this happened. This doesn’t need to happen now but in time, and I will be here every step of the way.” if this didn’t win Kash the best friend award he didn’t know what would.
”He is a coward. We will get revenge on your uncle? I don’t nee details. A name will suffice; I can dig up some dirt on the man and learn his weaknesses. I just need for you to promise me one thing; to remember that you are special. You may want them back but that can never happen. You’re going to need to take this pain and turn it into motivation. That’ll be the only way to get through this.” she needed to be strong for Storm and for herself. In time the cards would be laid out in front of her, but right now she needed to be organized. She needed a list of things to do to keep busy. ”Keep yourself busy, idle hands are the devils playground.”
This could all work out, Kash wasn’t being as sincere anymore but that’s because he wanted to start Ash on a good note. Mourning was good but an entire week of feeling hopeless didn’t help anyone, and if she wanted to help someone she needed to help herself first.
