The Seviper felt its tail connect solidly with the Absol, and immediately spun about, rising up tall, its body limber in preparation to dodge should the other pokemon retaliate. But it seemed as if he had landed a strong blow, and even poisoned the other pokemon. He was prepared to defend himself, but rather than attack, the pokemon retreated back to its trainer, who treated its wounds. A low hiss emanated from the snake-like pokemon's throat, as it did not like having its battle interrupted.
The moment that Absol was ready to go again, Seviper lurched forward, attacking. It's body shot swiftly across the ground as it approached, before it reared upward and lunged, aiming to bite Absol on the shoulder.

Neither Disaster nor Janessa were expecting the wild Seviper to react that quickly. Disaster, therefore, had little chance of dodging. When she realized that there was an attack coming she attempted to sidestep, but with no luck. The wild Seviper's bite attack struck her hard on the shoulder. Disaster gritted her teeth and growled slightly as she held in the cry of agony that wanted to escape.
Without waiting for instructions from her trainer, Disaster quicky reacted. She used a Bite attack of her own, aiming for whatever part of the Seviper's body she could reach from the angle that she was at. She couldn't quite get at the wild Seviper's head, but the throat was a possible target and the upper was, too. The tail and the lower body were out of reach.
Janessa nodded slightly to herself as she approved of her Absol's actions. She was confident now that the two of them could win this battle, despite the Seviper's level advantage. It was just a matter of time...
