With the huge festival just the next town over, how could Jericho Mars resist? Besides the fact that it was always fun and a nice break from training, there were always pretty girls around. And, if the mood hit him, the guys were never too bad looking either. If the mood hit him. He often wondered if it was due to some kind of subconscious empathy that lead him to his very rare boyfriends. Something deep inside of them that also drew Jericho to the ladies. He wasn’t sure, all he really knew was that he really enjoyed and looked for girls, it was the guys who usually found him first.
But that was beside the point. Jericho, along with all his Pokémon, were at the festival now. Jericho had been debating on entering the tournament, and brought his Pokémon just in case. And as usual, he rode Blaze, his old Rapidash, down to the city from Reinshaw. He made quite the impression when he rode into town. People were always curious and impressed to see trainers riding in on Pokémon, whether it was riding a Rapidash on land, a Charizard in the sky, or a Gyarados in the water. People were always curious and always had comments, even if they didn’t say them out loud.
That was what brought Jericho to the club at this time. Venus had led him inside, the Espeon knowing the pained look on her trainer’s face. There were just too many people on the street for Jericho to handle right now. Kids were excited to play the games, trainers were excited for the tournament, and most everyone was excited just in general. And Jericho could feel every single person’s excitement. It was building up in his head like a soda bottle that was shaken. It was about to explode if he didn’t do something. That’s why Venus led him into the nearly empty bar. It’d give her trainer some time to recuperate from the migraine threatening to emerge.
Jericho plopped into a booth near the door, and Venus hopped up beside him, sitting across his lap like an oversized cat. He smirked a bit, leaning back against the patted seat, and began to run his hand through her fur. She knew him far too well. He didn’t bother expressing his thanks verbally, she knew he was grateful and leaned into his hand as he began to rub her ears.
Jericho would be alright in a few moments. He could obviously still sense people out on the sidewalk closest to the club, but it was a lot quieter now. He’d be just fine momentarily and be ready to go hit on a pretty girl in no time.

they call me . aurellia .
All the people outside were really starting to take a toll on Aurellia's limited patience. All the kids dropping food everywhere and trailing Skittys and Clefairys, and all the young trainers eyeing her off as they recognised who she was, and all the pretty girls being straight... Ah, life was tough. But she struggled along amidst the sea of attractive people who were off the menu, even for such an undiscerning lover as Aurellia. She wandered into the bar hall, hoping for a bit of a nip to drink and perhaps some light conversation to calm her down after talking to that jerk in the suit. Sitting at the bar with a bored expression on her face, she sent Arcanine away to investigate the shadows and ordered a shot of scotch to start with - she knew how her protective, big dog Pokemon hated her bad habits. Gambling, drinking, one night stands - she was a walking example of an intense lack of any sort of moral compass. But, Aurellia reasoned, that was what made her so fun! She downed the drink as it was handed to her and filled it up just as quickly, taking the second one as quickly as the first. Suitably fired up, and her throat somewhat husky, she now looked around her surroundings.
There! With the white hair! A slender guy slouched over the bar. Passed out drunk? Or perhaps with a migraine from all the noise and hoo-hah outside? Eh. Whatever. She would brighten his day - and perhaps hers as well. She grinned, and launched herself towards him, downing a third and final glass on the way and sliding the little shotglass towards the shocked guy behind the bar. Sneaking up on people was Aurellia's second favourite activity to having gym battles. Seriously now: that startled abject confusion, Stantler-in-the-headlights look really gave her a sudden jolt of glee. But of course, not the other way around. Aurellia hated surprises; surprise visits, surprise parties, surprise 'Hey, Aurellia!' taps on the shoulder. She hated them all. But hypocrit or not, that was what she did. Walking up behind the striking young fellow with white hair, she tapped him on the shoulder - but ended up getting a surprise of her own when she noticed the Espeon curled neatly on his lap like a tame cat. It was rather comical, really; such a regal Pokemon looking like a housepet, and so large as to cause its paws and head to slip off the sides of his lap.
Aurellia grinned as she realised who she was talking to. "Jericho!" she beamed. "It's been ages." Whistling Arcanine over, she instructed him with her stern green eyes to leave the cat-like Eevee-lution alone. She should never have needed to, though; Arcanine had far more manners and etiquette than Aurellia could ever hope to possess. The regal canine bowed his head to the Reinshaw City gym leader. She had been hoping to flirt with a stranger, perhaps find some secluded spot under the boardwalk, but never mind that, Jericho was always fun to play with. The pair had a half-history of sorts; Aurellia teased him and he had always seemed somewhat aloof. But lately they had been tied up with gym challenges and responsibilities and such, and Aurellia had not seen him for ... well, months now, she guessed. Perhaps it was time to light that fire again - she was in the mood for some teasing banter and maybe, if things went the way she wanted, an interesting night to close a brilliant day at the festival. And she had always loved Jericho's hair; maybe it would look even better with her slender fingers running though it...

Aww crap.
No, it wasn’t really Aurellia that had Jericho upset. It was just her loud, happy tone and then the whistle. His head throbbed for the few brief seconds it took her to finally quiet down, and he sighed, sitting up.
He had no choice. He hated to do this, but he basically shut down his empathic ability. He closed his eyes for a moment and when he was satisfied that he was safe, he opened his eyes again. He felt well again, no more headache, but he felt utterly alone as well. Oh well. It was the price to pay for getting rid of a headache, he’d rather pay it.
Venus moved aside, sitting on the inside of the booth, as far from the Arcanine as possible. She had seen him before, it wasn’t like she was afraid of him or didn’t know him, but she still sat on the inside of the booth. She always had a weird feeling around dog-like Pokémon.
Jericho smiled. Aurellia was still as beautiful as he remembered. He reached over and pet Venus, thanking her for the comfort she had given him from the headache, and turned to his one-time, on again, off again love interest. He hesitated to call her his girlfriend, they really weren’t steady enough for that.
“Hello Aurellia. It has been a while. Have a seat. It’d be great to have some com—er…” he glanced at Venus and grinned, “Human company.”
Venus smirked at her trainer, and nudged him with a paw, as if to playfully call him a jerk before she decided to wash her face. She felt something there in the fur. Probably just some dust.
“I was wondering when I’d see you again.” Always the gentleman, Jericho took her hand and stood, kisses the back of her hand and waiting for her to sit. He had been looking for someone to entertain him tonight, and he finally found her. Things were always fun when Aurellia was around.

they call me . aurellia .
Aurellia slid into the bar stool with practiced ease. She was, after all, a regular in the bars scattered around the larger cities in the region, a very common barfly if you will. Calling over the bartender, she deliberated for a second before asking, "A scotch-whisky malt, if you will?" before turning back to her companion. Ah, she smell of his body reminded her of times gone past - most of her lovers came and went without so much as a goodbye, and there were many hateful spurned guys and gals out there who refused to even admit Aurellia's existence in the region but Jericho Mars, well, he was different. There was no animosity between them. They both understood that there were no rules, no real boundaries. Aurellia came and went as she pleased and she supposed Jericho did too, though whatever he did outside of her circle of vision was beyond her concern. No petty jealousies for Aurellia - she was as open as a huge, gaping archway, and that went for every part of her life.
Arcanine watched the Espeon lick its paws with a mixture of confusion and interest. Cat Pokemon always interested the great dog Pokemon. Why did they insist on licking themselves silly when a romp in a lake would do the job just fine? He shook his furry mane and lay down beside Aurellia, content to rumble in a half-doze by her side. "Company is what I do best," she replied jokingly, accepting the kiss graciously. Unlike the last man who had tried to do that - and caught her by surprise, no less - Jericho's lips on her skin had a soft feel, and one she remembered well. Too well. A slight shiver ran involuntarily down her spine. "I was thinking the same thing," she said slyly, inching forward to lean over the table, her hair spilling over her shoulders in a rich arc of auburn locks. She sipped her scotch-whiskey, looking over the rim of the glass at her erstwhile lover. "I thought maybe you were avoiding me. Found yourself some new girls to replace little ol' me, huh?" she joked, her powerful laugh echoing in the empty room. She leaned forward, her eyes set staring straight into his, the emerald orbs glittering beautifully. "Never worry. So have I," she whispered conspiratorially, grinning and breaking off, falling into the deep recesses of her curtain of hair.
Looking around, Aurellia hummed. It was such a pitiful atmosphere in here. No people, no drunks, no music - that was probably the reason why there were so few people around. But still, Jericho Mars was here and for the time being, that was all this fiery gym leader needed. She swung herself around on the chair, shuffling it closer until their sides were touching. Leaning in to his form, Aurellia's face drew closer to his until she could almost feel his breath on her cheek, and whispered, "Miss me?"

Jericho grinned, now feeling a lot better with his little break from the crowd. Aurellia had a certain air about her, perhaps some would call it an aura, that just helped calm his mind and help him control his empathic abilities. It was what originally drew him to her. He had noticed it right away, before he had even laid eyes on her. He wasn’t sure how to really describe it. It was almost like, when he was around her, there was a bubble that formed around them, and this bubble dampened all other emotions from anyone in the general area. He wasn’t even sure Aurellia believed he had a psychic gift, but he didn’t mind that. A lot of people didn’t believe it.
“Avoiding you? Never. I’m in fact quite glad to see you again.” He leaned over a bit, “No one could ever replace you.”
Venus rolled her eyes. She knew where this was headed, and that was just fine. But still, did he have to be so transparent?
“You know, Aurellia… if you ever decide to settle down one day, don’t be afraid to ask me first.” He grinned, knowing she’d most likely laugh at that statement, but that was fine. Jericho loved to hear her laugh. Her voice rang a bit, like a soft bell. At least it did to him.
When she leaned in close and whispered to him, Jericho felt a shiver run down his back. Her voice was like a melody just for him. It spoke to him more than what her words have even said. He decided to answer her the best way he knew how.
It started simply enough. He tilted his head a bit, and captured her lips in a kiss. One hand slid up to the back of her neck to pull in her closer. Said hand then tangled in her hair. Oh, he couldn’t wait for her reaction.

they call me . aurellia .
Arcanine caught the Espeon rolling her eyes, and agreed whole-heartedly with the sentiment. A certain amount of transgression was always there with Aurellia, and growing up with her the Arcanine was used to her somewhat ... dodgy morals, but still. It was always this way. She would pretend to insult him, and Jericho always only had one thing on his mind. It was so obvious exactly what he was about to do. The furry dog Pokemon looked straight at Venus with a knowing look in his eyes. It was going to be a long night - the two Pokemon could look after themselves just fine. It was their trainers who needed taking care of.
"And if someone could replace me, I'd like to meet her," Aurellia grinned. "Give her a bit of roughing up for moving in on my territory." Not that she treated Jericho like territory. He meant more to her than that, much more. Not like some of those others, one night conquests, more of a challenge to her own pride than a meaningful relationship. The very fact she kept coming back to the silver-haired gym leader meant she felt something deeper for him, deeper than the first physical attraction. As he moved closer, Aurellia held her ground, waiting for him to get ever more closer. He was soft and gentle, but precise in his movements. Aurellia knew him well enough to know where this was heading, and to be honest she did not mind a bit. "Settle down?" she said softly. "You know that will never happen. I'll sleep when I die," she laughed. It was true; kind of like her life's motto.
Aurellia was caught off guard as she waited for Jericho's response to her sultry question. She barely even recognised what was happening until his lips touched hers, and then she reacted with full force, almost pushing herself strongly into him. Gentleness and kindness aside, she was still fiercely attracted to this guy and it showed. Arcanine placed a paw over his eyes with a sigh. Aurellia could feel his hand tangled in her auburn hair and was glad the hand was there - it kept her hair from falling into her face and ruining the moment. She broke off the kiss for a second, staying where she was, which meant she almost spoke into Jericho's mouth. "You always knew just how to talk to me, didn't you." There was a twinkle in her eyes as she turned fully around to face him, placing her arms around and over his shoulders, her spidery fingers running gently over his backbone, touching the sensitive little bones which ran in a line so close under the skin. This was always her favourite part of meeting up with Jericho - sure, conversation was all well and good but she could talk to anybody. This kind of interaction required someone special, and Jericho qualified full well for that. Kissing Jericho harshly, Aurellia closed her eyes for a second, relishing the smell and the feeling. Opening her mouth just slightly, she let her tongue force her way into his, almost unable to help herself from grinning wickedly. Tonight was shaping up to be brilliant.

There were no more need for words. Alone in the bar, aside from the two Pokémon who were more than used to this behavior, Jericho wasn’t nearly as shy as he would have been if there were other people around. And since he wasn’t shy, well, he wasn’t very worried about his actions at the moment.
It started off as just a good, hot kiss. But Jericho was ready for a little more than that. He continued to kiss her, and sucked on her invading tongue. His hands went down her sides and rested on her hips. Before he knew it, he had pulled her onto his lap.
It was just some harmless making out. Even Jericho wouldn’t go further than that in a public place. The intensity of the making out though, that was going to be way up since they were alone. He ran his hands all over her body. He gripped her hair, pulling her in closer to kiss more deeply and passionately. He wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed from her jaw to her neck. He grinned at her reactions.
“Perhaps we should start thinking about finding a room?” he asked, kissing her shoulder. He kissed her again before she could respond, slipping his tongue into her mouth this time.
Aurellia was everything he could ever want in a life partner. The only problem was that she had no interest in settling down. Sure enough, she’d be off again and have more partners, and he would do the same, and then at some point they’d meet back up, make out some more, and try to make the other jealous with tales of the cute boys and girls they had been with while apart. It was just their thing.
Now, if only he knew where the nearest hotel was…

they call me . aurellia .
Aurellia fought to keep her eyebrows from rising up her face. This was a new side to Jericho than the one she had seen so often - the gentle, kind guy she knew and loved was exhibiting ... well, some force. She had to admit she kind of liked it, though she was used to taking control in her relationships. The thing was, she was never good at talking about what she wanted and what she didnn't, and for Aurellia the easiest way of getting what she wanted was to just do it herself. But here, apparently, what she wanted and what Jericho wanted were perfectly aligned.
In any case, Aurellia let herself be pulled onto him. She was as strong as any guy and she could almost certainly beat Jericho in a fistfight but this was not about power. Aurellia let herself give in to him because it was easier to let him take control. Besides, it took more control for her to let herself be pulled around by this guy. It was a relief from always having to fix everything up herself. Drink forgotten, relaxed and comfortable, she pushed herself closer, every inch of her body screaming to touch some part of his. She could feel the fibres in the fabric of his shirt on her exposed midriff, and she could sense her little silver-and-emerald belly ring press into his stomach. She was moving by touch alone now - her eyes were firmly shut and only the taste and smell and feel of him were here guidelines.
Tilting her face backwards as Jericho peppered kisses along her neck, Aurellia sighed with almost desperate intensity. She heard him speak and almost grudged him for the time it took to talk, which he was not using to kiss her. If he would only let her reply! But she cared little about whether people saw them or not. Pulling back, she bobbed her head to the side and smiled, eyes mock-serious. "Why bother? You're not afraid someone will see us, are you?" she said, pretending to frown. "You're ashamed of me!" She could not keep the giggle down, and hid it by burying her face in his neck, kissing so deep she could feel her teeth rake the gentle skin. Though she did not mean to cause him any pain, she was feeling a need for him which would not go away every moment he was in the room. Maybe they should think about finding somewhere to go, away from the possibility of interruption... But where? By the Freshia Sea was one of her favourite spots but, what with the festival the seashore was bound to be littered with kids and adults alike. Whatever. She was too caught up in the smell of Jericho's hair and the taste of his mouth to think very deeply about anything right now. Thinking was for people who did not have their tongue down a hot gym leader's throat.

"Oh Aurellia, ashamed of you? Never." Jericho grinned and captured her mouth in another kiss. But he knew Aurellia, he knew her pretty well, and even though he was eager, she was usually the one in charge. However, he wasn’t ready to relinquish his power just yet. He’d let her take over soon enough, “I would just prefer some privacy. After all, I’m in no mood to go to jail because of you… again.” He smirked.
Jericho gripped her hips to keep her on his lap, and moved his lips from hers, to her jaw. There, he trailed his lips down to her throat, and began to suck. Once he was sure a hickey would form, he moved on to her shoulders. He let his thumbs brush on her bare midsection. Her skin was so soft and so… kissable. That was a good word for it. He kissed lower and lower on her neck and chest until her clothing got in the way. That’s when he started moving his lips back up to the other side of her neck and jaw.
“You’re just as hot as always, Aurellia. We need to find a private place for sure now. Though perhaps you could charm me out of the idea…”
He grinned, inviting her to take over now.
