Name: Nishimura Takato Age: 19 Gender: male Sexuality: straight Status: Breeder Play By: Minami Itsuki (Ikki) - Air Gear Appearance: Takato, or Taka-chan as most people call him, is a fairly tall individual. Towering over his little sister, he can appear to be intimidating at times, especially when he's skating around trying to go faster. Upon closer inspection, however, you will find that he has a very boyish face for someone with such a large figure. Called a 'wild child' by some, he has a few piercings in both of his ears, which he occasionally interchanges with various different rings. He doesn't wear them to be a rebel, or because he's trying to look all tough - he simply thinks they're cool and that they fit him.
His attire changes from time to time, but for the most part he wears loose fitting pants and shirts of various colors. He is a big fan of printed shirts and sweaters of various types. For instance, he could be wearing a simple blank tee, jeans and zip up jacket or hoodie, and the next day he could be wearing a black tee with a skull on it, black baggy pants with buckles, strings and chains, and a darker hoodie. His attire normally has something to do with one of the following: his mood, what's clean, or the first thing he sees in the morning. Because of this, there are even times when his outfits don't even match. This doesn't really bother him though since appearances aren't his biggest concern.
Personality: As mentioned before with his appearance, Takato is often described as a rebel. He has never really been interested in battling with his pokemon, rather he prefers to engage in various contests that gage the pokemon's skill level in a more direct way that doesn't involve brute strength or power, but rather intelligence and basic skill.

Pokemon: pidgeotto and ponyta (will put them up after accepted) History: Being the son of a former gym leader is pretty tough. You get the information about gym battles from a young age whether you like it or not, While it may start out as glory stories when you're a kid, those stories end up sounding more like bragging and torture once you start getting older after hearing the same things over and over.
This was the childhood of Nishimura Takato. While he had been amazed at his father's stories when he was a youngster, the stories started to get old with him, and he got to the point where his father talking in general annoyed him, no matter what it was about. To be honest, he didn't want anything to do with battling pokemon, so instead he went out and used his allowance to purchase a pair of roller blades. The boy loved going fast, and watching the bird pokemon fly in the sky, and then looking over to see other pokemon running fast through the bushes and nearby fields.
When he was 3, still in the prime of his impressionable age, his mother gave birth to a little girl whom she named Kazai. As he was still so impressionable by his father's stories, He was also impressionable by this little girl. She was so small and fragile, and she cried a lot. In the beginning, Takato liked her, but ran away every time she started to cry. Once she started growing out of the crying stages and got big enough to play with him, he did his best to look after her.
Eventually, he got to the point where he was very fast on his wheels, but it just wasn't enough for him. Around this time, his father was trying to get his son to go see the nearby professor so he could leave on his journey to become a great pokemon trainer. However, Takato just ignored his father and started to tinker with machinery so as to try and make his blades motorized, like how they had put motors on bicycles to make morotcycles. After a few years of trying, he finally managed his first prototype, which took him once down the main street before blowing out and sending him into a world of hurt as he crash landed after a few somersaults against the ground.
During his recovery, his father showed his displeasure with his son's actions as he held such high hopes for the boy. Once he had recovered, Takato ended up leaving his home to pursue his own dreams. On the way he ended up finding a Pidgey with a broken wing that was being attacked by an Ekans. Of course he didn't have a pokemon on him at the time, or even a pokeball. So instead he threw a few rocks at the snake pokemon and lured it away from the bird. Once the Ekans was gone, he went back to find the bird pokemon in fairly bad shape, and with the nearest pokemon center more than a day away, he figured he would set up camp there and try his best to at least set the bird right before the journey.
While the pokemon didn't trust him at first, he had proven himself trustworthy by the time they reached the next city and the center. After that, the Pidgey followed him around as he went off to the next town, trying to trick some food from him. He couldn't help but laugh at the bird's persistence, and eventually bought a pokeball for it to stay in. Even still, the bird ended up staying outside of the ball most of the time, as it still preferred to fly freely, and Taka wasn't about to force his new friend to do something he didn't want to do.
With a new companion, Takato continued working on his motorized blades, eventually finishing them. Soon after he finished them, he came across a breeding facility and found a great deal of interest in the way they took care of the pokemon in the center. He found himself staying there for longer than he had anticipated, gradually working his way in as a volunteer. By the time he was 16, he had been recognized as a breeder, but he still didn't feel complete, so he left in order to provide his services to others rather than having them come to him.
On the way, his Pidgey ended up evolving into a Pidgeotto. With Pidgeotto by his side, he went on a search for pokemon that were fast. Instead of battling, he coerced them into a race with his pidgeotto, promising them a reward of his homemade food if they won. For those who won, he gave them their food, and while they were still eating, would ask if they wanted to race him. The stakes this time were that if they won, they would have the choice to join him, or just take some more food. Eventually, one of the pokemon that beat him decided to stick with him since she had a blast running beside him. This little girl was a ponyta, and a very high spirited one at that.
Since then, the three of them have been travelling around challenging trainers to various competitions as opposed to your average battles simply for the fun of it. Win or lose, he would always give his opponents a bit of his homemade pokemon food as well as a few tips straight from a breeder. During one of his matches, he ended up getting a call from his sister. Since he always answered his sister's calls, he ended up losing the contest, and only to find that his old man was sick. While he wasn't very fond of his father for having pushed his son so hard and then holding his daughter back, he couldn't leave Kazai alone with the man o his death bed. With a quick apology to his opponent, he made his way back to his hometown to take care of everything that needed to be taken care of.
Once his father was gone, he held mixed feelings. While a part of him felt relieved of a burden, another part of him still felt sadness at the loss of a family member. He stayed with his sister for about a week before she told him that she wanted to leave for her own journey. Unlike their father, Takato supported his sister, and even gave her a few tips that he gave to just about every trainer he came across in order to help her on her journey. Once she left, he found himself staying in the house longer than he had imagined he would have. In the end he left again to gather and share more information about Pokemon.
