General Appearance:
Laura is considered very good looking by most of the male population of Corel Town, so much so that she has had to lock the doors of her Gym just to keep the riff-raff out and protect herself. Her long, jet-black hair, inherited from her mother, creates a sillouette in the night, giving her a very fearsome appearance when the sun goes down. Despite this, her eyes are always able to calm even the most frantic of people, just from one look into those liquid pools of sapphire. Her body is almost sculpture-like in shape, giving her an extremely beautiful figure, causing the testosterone-drunk men locked outside the Gym go frantic in their search for a way to see her beauty again, most resorting to becoming trainers just to challenge her, only to be completely traunced and sent into spiralling depression.
She likes to wear clothing that doesn't show off her chest, wearing her favourite violet hoodie and loose shirt combo, making her look more like a very rebelious teen rather than Corel's greatest beauty. This rule doesn't really apply to her legs, wearing a loose grey skirt with a small gold design in the shape of a Fleur de Lis in the right-hand corner. On her feet she has black-coloured flats with a small violet bow at the upper hem, with black-coloured socks that end just below the knee.

Personality:
Laura is a very laid-back person, taking everything in her stride and not letting anything bother her. When someone or something gets on the wrong side of her, you had better move out of the way because there's usually going to be a Steelix charging straight towards you. Although not really showing it, she has a very short fuse, not letting anyone who bothers her get away without an apoligy or suitable sized bruise. To people she considers weak, she is very cold and jerk-like to them. She is also very shy when it comes to talking to new people, especially good-looking ones.
When it comes to Pokemon and battling, she is a very tactical fighter, trying to think of every possible weakness and then finding a way to plug the gap. She loves her Pokemon so much that they are pretty much the only people she spends time with anymore, even spending weeks just sitting in the Gym, waiting for a worthy challenger.

History:
Born into a very small family of drug addicts, Laura and her older brother were abandoned when Laura was only 2 months old, after thier mother was driven insane by the death of her husband and disappaered. never to be seen again. Scott, aged 10 at the time, carried Laura to the nearest city, reaching Corel after a two day trek without food, but plenty of water thanks to Scott's newly aquired Corphish. When they arrived in Corel, they were rushed to a hospital, with Scott suffering from a broken leg and Laura suffering from malnutrition. They were taken care of and raised by one of the assistant nurses at the time, Nurse Danielle.
After 9 years, Laura was given permission by Danielle to begin her Pokemon journey, just like her brother did, almost ten years before. Over the years she had became quite fond of the Steel-type Pokemon, especially Skarmory. When she reached the lab she was given the choice between Aron, Skarmory and Bronzor, obviously chosing the Skarmory and begining her training, being specially trained by the then Gym Leader of Corel, her brother Scott.
After 4 years of training and catching, Laura was a Pokemon fighting machine, having a total of 7 Pokemon. She challenged her brother for the position of Gym Leader of Corel and after a very long, drawn out fight, just barely triumphing against Scott's very powerful Water-type Pokemon. This gave her the position of Corel Gym Leader that she has held ever since.
At one point she became over-confident enough to challenge the Elite Four, only to be utterly dominated and sent home at only the first Elite. She plans to get strong enough to be able to defeat the Elite Four and prove that she can be the greatest trainer there has ever been and also show the world the might of Steel-type Pokemon.
