About the Contest

Welcome to CREATE-THAT-POKEMON! This is a contest that will ask you to create unique, diverse, and fun pokemon! These pokemon come from you, the members, and don't have to have pictures to go along with them. These pokemon can range from Common to Rares, from the fish in the sea to the birds in the sky! And it's all for you, the member, to create!


Rules

• You musmustmust use the format provided below. If you have extra sections you want to add, that's fine, but what's provided for you are requirements.

• Be realistic, a water-type isn't going to have fire type moves simply because it lives in the water and there's no use for it. It can be a fire-type secondary and use its secondary fire-type to boil the water around it, but it isn't going to be learning fire blast.

• You may use made pokemon as your template! Bulbapedia is a great site to use when looking at pokemon! They list habitats, personalities, move lists, evolutions and when they evolve, the works!

• TWO new moves and abilities are allowed, but a whole moves list with new moves isn't reasonable. If you add a new ability, you MUST provide it's type, attack power, PP, accuracy, and a description of what it does.

• GOD MOD pokemon are not acceptable. This means, no all powerful pokemon that dodge everything cause it's fast, phases through walls (unless it's a ghost type), and shoots lightning from its ass (unless its a lightning type) and blasts fire from its ears (unless it's a duo lightning/fire type) and shoots lazors from its eyes (alright, I've got nothing for this one xDD). Make it realistic... make it epic... make it weak against SOMETHING damn it xDDD

• You may enter as many times as you want. HOWEVER, please try to post ALL of your entries in one post. Simply edit your post after posting to include new ones.

• You may only create 1 legendary, 2 rares, and 4 uncommon. You may only make ONE Eeveelution.

• HAVE FUN!!!! yes, writing = fun... riiiiiiiiiight. xDD well, I assume you joined an RP site for that reason, so this should get your creative juices flowing!

Explanation of the Template

Name;;

Be clever. All pokemon names are a referance of what inspired the pokemon Beldum was named after a Dumbell.

Ponyta is a pony.

Charizard is a mix of Charr and Lizard. Charmander is a mix of Charr and Salamander. Charmelion is Chamelion mixed with Charr.

If you need ideas, just look out your window, google animals, heck, look around your house. Inspiration for this sorta thing is everywhere.

Type;;

What Elemental Type is your pokemon? Does it have 2 Types? What is its weaknesses? If you're curious, take a look at Bulbapedia and click on an elemental type. It will list what the type is resistant against, what it's weak against, what works normally on it, and what doesn't work on it at all.

Description;;

Pictures are fine, however, a three to five paragraph detailed summary of what the pokemon looks like is a must. If you need suggestions, how does it move? How does it eat? What does it use to catch its pray? What does it use to defend itself against preditors? Are there any natural defensive mechanisms it uses? Is it slimy, scaley, woody, rocky, sandy, etc. Is there anything special about the way its built? Any comparisons that can be drawn to it? etc.

Egg Group;;

Any egg group is available. If you need a referance, google 'Egg Group Pokemon' and look at the Bulbapedia listings of what pokemon are in each egg group. Choose the pokemon closest to yours and choose the same groups. Dual Egg groups are more rare. The Pokemon cannot be in more than 2 Egg Groups.

Where does the species live? What thread(s) does it make its home in? Why there? Is there something about the environment it couldn't live without? How does it interact with other pokemon? Is the Species naturally at odds with certain pokemon? How does the Pokemon benefit others living in the region? Anything else you want to add?

At least two paragraphs explaining Habitat as well as a list of what Wild Pokemon Boards it resides in..

Diet;;

What does the pokemon normally eat? How do they get this? This should closely intertwine with the region they are commonly found in.

Common, Uncommon, Rare, Legendary.

Personality;;

How does the species as a whole act? There has to be specific habits, quirks, and trademark qualities that set it apart from the other species. Are they timid, have poor hygene, love to pamper itself, horde all sorts of odd objects, look for shiney objects to give to its 'soul mate'. Does it sing odd songs to attract the opposite gender, do a funky dance, or is it a reclusive pokemon that doesn't like getting involved with others? Is it aggressive, commonly avoided or is it sweet and lovable? How does it react with other pokemon and how does it act towards humans? A good 3 or more paragraphs should be enough detail about the pokemon to make it different from other species.

Ability;;

What ability does the pokemon have? Only list one ability per pokemon. The ability should blend with characteristics of the pokemon and the personality of the pokemon. Don't give Charizard Natural Cure. Don't give a Squirtle Flash Fire. Just make sense and go wild!

If you create a new ability, put a * next to it and give a detailed description of what the ability does. If it has an in battle effect and out of battle effect, please list both.

Moves;;

Pokemon moves are of only one type and have one of two effects. Damage or Support. Some damage moves have a chance for a secondary effect. Support moves never damage the opponent, however increase/decrese stats or dish out status ailments.

Pokemon moves should be diverse and make sense with the species. If they are a preditor group, foresight would be a good move. If they are prey, detect would be a good move. Should they have a hard shell, harden would be effective. If they have spikes, pin needle would be a good attack. Pokemon don't have just moves of their own type and not all pokemon have the strongest moves of their type.

Star Region is a new place. You see the names of each region and you see the type of pokemon living there. Make pokemon that fit into the eco system well and make sense. Also, you may expand upon already created pokemon. Eevee Evolutions are fine, but each person is limited to creating 1 Eevee Evolution. More pokemon like Eevee with multipule branches are welcome as long as they make sense. Sun Stone, Moon Stone, Dawn Stone are all great seeing as they have celestial ties. Go wild!

If you create a new attack, please put a * next to it. Be sure to list type, attack power, PP, accuracy, and a description of what it does. Move powers range from 0 to 150 (Explosion is 250, but that is a suicide move). Moves may also have ?? as power if the attack varies when used.

Evolutions;;

Does this pokemon evolve? In this section, list the names of each evolutionary phase. There can be no more than 3 stages to evolution (different branches are fine within the same species, but the same pokemon can't evolve more than twice). What stages are each evolution? Remember, there's a difference between Baby Stage and Primary Stage.

Baby Stage;; Babies are weak and are open to naturally learning baby moves such as 'Charm', 'Fake Tears', 'Astonish', 'Metronome', etc. Cute moves that appeal to preditor's better nature yet are effective in fights are a must for babies.

Primary Stage;; Baby pokemon evolve to this thorugh Happiness. Primary Stage pokemon are able to take care of themselves. They can be cute, scary, tough, smart, or cool. Take physical traits into account when creating these as well as environmental factors. Weedles may have a horn, but can't learn horn drill. Wingull might be Water-type, but it doesn't learn Hydro Pump. Some pokemon don't evolve at all and are complete in their first form. This is rare, and the pokemon itself has Legendary Properties. Such as Lapris, Chatot, and Farfetch'd.

Secondary Stage;; Some pokemon evolve only once, these pokemon, such as Scyther, Mr. Mime, Jynx, Rattata, Zubat, and Snorlax are complete in their second stage. They are incomplete in their first form and their evolution finalizes the pokemon. These pokemon are stronger than their previous forms and stronger moves are available.

Final Stage;; All species of pokemon follow one rule. There are three stages the pokemon can go through, each later stage much stronger than the last. The Final Stages are known to be the most feared, apart from legendary pokemon, Final Stages put the other pokemon on the map. Sudo Legendary Pokemon stop at the Final Stage, such as Gible, Beldum, Ralts, etc. Being the finalized form, they learn the strongest attacks of their types. However, they only learn the strongest attacks of their primary type. Though Charizard is Fire/Flying, he learns the strongest attacks that are of the Fire Type.

Name;; Aereon {{ 'aero' and 'evolution' }}

Type;; Flying

Description;; Aereon: Swan Feather Pokemon.
It is a pure white colour all over with a very light grey inside the ears. Its feet looks like tiny clouds on the end of its slender legs, which attach to a lithe and skinny body. It has claws which can retract from its toes at will; these are also pure white. From its shoulders spring two billowing, feathery snow-white wings which arch gracefully out or fold neatly into its sides. These wings are each as long as its body and are comprised of many beautiful, long feathers which closely resemble a swan's. They are superbly powerful but lightweight, as its bones are hollow to allow them to hold up the immense weight of the feathers. Aereon's neck is gracefully curved like a swan's and supports a small head with a pointed nose, which is grey, button-like and cute. Its ears are long and skinny, curving gently back towards its body, and have a slightly grey-speckled appearance. Its tail is bushy just like its original form Eevee, perfectly white and curved up at the end. Aereon can often be found preening their wings mid-flight, such is their talent at flying. It is said no other Pokemon surpasses their technical ability in the air and they are extremely agile as well as strong.

Egg Group;; Ground

Habitat;; Aereon spend most of their lives flying high in the clouds. More experienced Aereon live in the skies the whole time as they can function extremely well in the thin atmosphere. They prefer a solitary life and can spend up to three or four weeks at a time in the sky without needing to land. This is because Aereon can flap their wings to stay aloft even while sleeping, to protect themselves from predators on the ground. In dire circumstances of extreme fatigue or fainting, Aereon find rocky cliff faces which are incredibly hard to scale and land on the very top precipice, finding caves or overhangs to protect them while they rest.

Can be found rarely in the Drenshen Cliffs.

Diet;; Aereon drinks only the purest waters which reside in the highest clouds, and eats unlucky small flying birds which get caught in vicious updraughts. On rare occasions when it is extremely hungry, it may come to ground and search for small rodents such as Rattata or Sentret.

Rarity;; Rare.

Personality;; Aereon are very solitary and can often spend their entire lives without coming into contact with another Pokemon except their occasional prey. They have a prideful, spiteful nature which sometimes leads them to believe they are better than any other creature they might meet, which is quite often the cause of their loneliness. They never forget an insult and will grudge heavily for their entire lives over anything they think insulted their pride. They prefer quiet to company and are very peaceful, only killing their prey when they need to; the cause of their apparently thin form is Aereon going without food and sparing the life of any unfortunate Hoothoot or Rattata they might come across. They are extremely intelligent and often very sarcastic and ironic in their actions and thoughts, second-guessing their trainer or companions and treating battles like games of wit and intelligence.
When captured by a trainer, it will take a very long time to befriend this Pokemon. Their pride and their unwillingness to work for anyone other than themselves makes them one of the most difficult Pokemon to train and master. Aereon are powerful but rarely, if ever, show this power in a battle. They like to withhold their true strength out of a bid to protect themselves from capture. This behaviour continues even beyond befriending their trainer as it is bred into them from the start. Once they are captured, Aereon do not return to the wild even when released as they cannot contemplate flying with the freedom they once had with the memory of being captured still forever painted in their minds. They only hang around their old cliff resting areas and dream of the sky.

A small crow like bird with fierce eyes and a short, but wide beak. The beak itself looks almost like that of a duck's, and even goes up in a small point between it's eyes. Though it's wingspan is small, so is it's body, which makes it a fairly speedy little bird, capable of flitting about and making quick aerial adjustments to it's flight path. This bird pokemon also has a few distinguishing characteristics in it's feathers that allow it to be picked out among the regular crows. Every Karakuro has longer feathers on the top of their heads as well as above their eyes. These feathers aid in their aerodynamics by controlling the flow of air as it passes over their heads.

Most Karakuro can be found in the forests of Star Region. They live in small to large nesting groups, usually in the top of the largest tree as well as a few of those that surround the largest. They have also been known to frequent the grassy plains as well as the cities. All in all, these bird pokemon are capable of living anywhere they please, though the forest is where they are most abundant.

Diet;;

The bird's diet depends heavily on where they are living. Those that live in the forest have mostly stuck to gathering nuts and berries from the forest floor as well as the tree tops. Those that live in the plains scavenge for anything they can get, most of which includes stealing from other pokemon, or even passing trainers. Those that live in the cities rely heavily on stealing from not only trainers, but restaurants as well.

Karakuro is a highly intelligent bird type pokemon. As such, it is capable of solving various problems in order to get what it wants. This is also true when it comes to finding food. They have been labeled as troublemakers since they tend to get into privately owned storage facilities to raid for food. As the puzzles got harder, the birds tried harder, eventually taking it all as a game. Though they have a natural affinity for stealing anything colorful or shiny for their nests, they are a lot more mischievous in the city than they are out in the wilderness.

Evolutions;;

Secondary Stage;; Karatachi (crow + song in japanese)

Once Karakuro evolves into Karatachi, it's beak begins to cover it's head as if it were a helmet. This allows the bird pokemon to use attacks such as head butt and skull bash more effectively and with little to no damage to itself. It also gains the ability of 'rock head' as opposed to it's 'speed boost' in it's Karakuro stage. The bird is a bit more cumbersome than in it's first stage, but still fairly speedy when it counts. This cumbersomeness is perhaps why it grows a second pair of wings upon evolution. The second stage relies more heavily on gravity and dives to make it's attacks rather than agility.

Upon reaching the final stage, this black bird pokemon grows to a rather large size. It's beak has, by now, overtaken it's entire head in an aerodynamically shaped skull form, complete with razor sharp teeth just outside it's beak. These teeth are used more for intimidation than anything, but still have a piercing power when used strong enough to grasp and hold on to just about any prey. The bird also, again, doubles the amount of wings it has to four sets of black feathered wings. With such a large wingspan, the bird relies mostly on power rather than speed, and it's bony head provides it with enough defense to not have to worry too much about being hit with anything too powerful. Karakokuo may also gain the ability of either anger point, or levitate when it evolves. Anger point is achieved with a lower happiness gauge, while levitate is achieved with a high happiness gauge.

ENTRY 1

Name;; Dollfin (‘doll’ and ‘fin’); Finali (‘Fin’ and ‘Ally’)

Type: water/psychic

Description;; Something like this.

Dollfin is a baby water-torpedo Pokémon. In its baby form, it is about three-feet long, and around 100lbs. Its skin is dark blue and white for males, and light blue and white for females. Its cheeks are red and its eyes are large and golden. It has a short beak and is usually seen with a smile. The tail is flat and shaped like a triangle, with a small dip at the middle on the long flat end (like a typical real life dolphin).

Dollfins and small and quick, and streamlined. Their dorsal fin is small and rounded, and their flippers are oval shaped. Dollfins also have a white star shaped marking on their blue bellies. The also have a round blowhole on the top of their heads.

When a Dollfin evolves into Finali, they double in size. Their markings start relatively the same, but the white star changes into a ring of three stars. Their eyes remain gold. The dorsal fin grows more pointed and about three feet tall, which they can use for slashing or cutting attacks. Their flippers also grow into a more typical dolphin shape. Their blowhole changes from one small hole, to two small holes (like with some whale species). The males also grow large spikes on their flippers. These face forward and are golden in color. They are used mainly to defend their friends. Lastly, a Finali has a long ‘scarf’ that goes around their dorsal fins, and the colors of these are gold for males, and white for females. This scarf is very similar to the wavy ribbons seen on a Suicune.

Habitat;; Freshia Sea

Diet;; they eat small fish, and occasionally plant matter, such as seaweed. They enjoy sweet pokefood.

Rarity;; Finali are very common, you can see them all over the Freshia sea, but the baby form, Dollfin, is uncommon.

Personality;; Dollfin and Finali are very friendly and playful, but the adult Finali are also known to be very protective of the babies. They are also very loyal to their families/trainers.

ENTRY 2

Name;; Necrorikka (death and snow)

Type: Ice/Dark

Description;; Something like this.

Nercrorikka is the snow leopard Pokémon. As such, its general appearance is that of a snow leopard.

Winter: They are white with the gray/blue spots, which have a dark ring around them to help break up the patter for camouflage. They have huge claws, and silver blades from their from shoulders.

Summer: in summer, their colors change. Their fur darkens to a more sandy color, and their spots change from blue to brown. Their blades turn black as well.

Other: males are much larger than the females, and the leaders of their prides have four blades instead of two (two on each shoulder instead of one). Leaders can be either male or female. However, the male leaders also get a bit of a mane. This mane goes straight down his back, from the base of the neck and down to the middle of his hips. This make stays bright silver all year long. Usually males who are caught by trainers also keep this mane. If your male Necrorikka has the double blades on its shoulders, then it probably doesn’t see you are a respectful trainer and will not listen in battle very often.

Habitat;; they are only found in the very high altitudes of the Kyro Mountain range.

Personality;; Necrorikka are very proud and can be very loyal to their trainers and teammates. However, they are sneaky, ambush predators, and prefer to use strategy than brute strength—not that they don’t have plenty of that. They are quick, but only in short bursts. If you plan to catch one, it’s best to try to get a young one if you can. And try not to catch a pride leader. That not only makes your job a lot harder, but it messes up the pride as well.

Name;; Lamkin – origin: lamb meaning baby sheep, aptly named for Lamkin’s resemblance to a lamb and it’s subsequent evolution.

Lamkin is the smaller pokemon shown in the centre of the picture. The two on either side are its evolutions which will be discussed further on. Lamkin, the baby sheep pokemon is a primary stage evolution pokemon, purely normal type. It ranges from it typical ranges from 2 to 3 feet in height, with 3 feet being the tallest ever recorded and weighing in up to 100kgs in females and 150kgs in males. It is a simple quad pokemon, standing on 4 legs. It has a small head, with two floppy ears covered in bright pink wool. The face itself is always black and the eyes will always be a pale pink in colour, regardless of gender The body is usually always plump unless ill or mistreated and will be the same bright pink colour wool. Lamkin possess two types of horns, indicative of its evolutions. On the left hand side will always be a pale purple, curled rams horn, while on the left hand side, there will always a small antler, covered in soft blue velvet.

They are typically slow pokemon due to their large plump bodies. They are slow to out run danger which can make them easy prey but Lamkin will often band together in herds, which can easily be up 200 + Lamkin in number, making them much more difficult to pick off when banded together. When they evolve, they become much less dependable on large numbers and can easily fend for themselves.

Egg Group;; Ground

Habitat;; Lamkin are typically docile creatures, who huddle together in large groups. They can be found both in the wild and domestically on farms. Their bright pink wool is harvest-able for the wool and clothing industry making them a good stock pokemon for farmers. In the wild, they are typically lowland animals, who will graze in fields and pastures.

Diet;; Lambkin are primarily herbivores. Similar to sheep, they have a complex digestive system composed of four chambers, allowing them to break down cellulose from stems, leaves, and seed hulls into simpler carbohydrates so they are capable of eating any type of vegetation. They are grazers and will often spend most of their day eating. In rare cases, they can eat meat, but their digestive systems have not developed to cope with large quantities. Continuous eating of meat will cause them to lose wool mass and the wool will turn from pink to a dull red, eventually they will become frail and sick which will ultimately lead to death. It is possible to save Lamkin if vegetation and medication is introduced and all ingestion of meat is stopped.

Rarity;; Common

Personality;; Lamkin are pleasant, docile pokemon. They are content to mind their own business. They will tend to ignore humans and pokemon that approach them if they don't cause a threat. In most cases, Lamkin are friendly towards others and will approach if the Lamkin is in a group, as they often live. If a Lamkin is approached on its own, it will general bleet ferociously to attract other members of its species and back away as a lone Lamkin is easy prey for a larger pokemon.

Lamkin will make good partners when captured. They will stay loyal, seeking the trainer for protection. If a trainer is willing to make this effort at this stage, they will be rewarded by a tough, fearless pokemon upon its evolution.

Immunity: The Pokémon cannot be under the POISON condition while having this ability.

Evolutions;; Lamkin has evolves once into one of either secondary stage pokemon. Evolution occurs by level up when the pokemon reaches level 20. The stage is determined by the gender of the pokemon. Female Lamkin will evolve into Ariesia – the pink sheep pokemon and male Lamkin will evolve into Antlas – deer pokemon.

Description;; Ariesia in the picture, is the pokemon on the left and is the female evolution of Lamkin. Upon evolution they will grow to between 5 and 5.5 ft tall. They will lose much of the plumpness and large volume of wool that they possess as Lamkin and will instead become taller, leaner and ten times more muscular. They possess long powerful legs, capable of jumping, swimming and climbing rough terrain. They have black hooved feet, each with a fluffy woolen band around the ankle which is a light purple in colour. Their wool, despite being shorter and much coarser, remains the same bright pink colour on the body and the ears and they will have black faces. While Lamkin possess one pale purple horn, Ariesia possess two which have grown considerably massive and make powerful weapons.

Habitat;; In a much similar way to Lamkin, Ariesia are lowland pokemon who live together in herds with other females. They populate fields, meadows, grasslands as well as moving in to populate forest areas.

Personality;; When Lamkin evolve, they become much less timid pokemon. They will still live together in herds but an individual Ariesia will easily take on any attacking pokemon. While still friendly towards humans and pokemon who pose no threat, they will attack without hesitation if they are threatened. If a trainer has put in the effort to raise a Lamkin, they will be rewarded by a brave, fiercely loyal pokemon who will fight for them and defend them at all costs.

Ability;; Thick Fat: Fire and Ice-type moves deal 50% damage.
Immunity: The Pokémon cannot be under the POISON condition while having this ability.

Description;; Antlas in the picture, is the pokemon on the right and is the male evolution of Lamkin. Upon evolution they will grow to between 6 and 7 ft tall. They will lose much of the plumpness and large volume of wool that they possess as Lamkin and will instead become taller, leaner and ten times more muscular. They possess long powerful legs, capable of jumping, swimming and climbing rough terrain. They have black hooved feet and their legs are covered in a brown wool, which reaches around ¾ up the leg before fading out into blue. Their wool is shorter and much coarser than Lamkin and changes to a light blue colour on the body and the ears. They lose the black faces and this fur changes colour to a slightly darker blue. While Lamkin possess one blue antler, Antlas possess two, which have grown considerably massive and make powerful weapons. They are covered in a soft dark/navy blue velvet which is shed each year. The antlers will grow back every year larger than the year before. The older the Antlas, the bigger its antlers will be.

Habitat;; When Lamkin evolve into Antlas, they lose the desire to join a herd. They gain a ground type nature in addition to normal and will often leave the lowland meadows for the sanctuary of mountains and cliffsides, where their strong legs allow them easy jumping and climbing skill. They are solitary creatures by this stage. Once a year, they will descend from the mountains to the low lands to challenge other Antlas for mates and the right to breed. After this, they will head back into the hills and the females will raise the young.

Diet;; Pretty much the same as Lamkin and Ariesia but with a small tolerancy to meat. Large quantities will still cause sickness and death but they can eat a lot more in small quantities than the other two forms.
