This was the very first real step into the real world, he clutched onto his necklace that his mother gave him as he headed into the forest scared shitless by bugs. He hated them so much, literally. He could only handle a few one of them, and those it had been hard on them. Combees were cute but other then that, Caterpies can just die and go to bug hell. No joke. He popped Zeo’s pokeball out of the necklace and enlarged it with a click. It was all very natural to him, he remembered having beginning pokemon at one point. Zeo would need to be trained. He released the Abra as the inquisitive pokemon appeared floating above the ground. Hi I’m Kash he spoke in his mind, he wanted to create a telepathic link with his new partner. No such luck.
”Okay; Well. To make sure you hear me. We’re going to start your first battle.” Kash said with a cheeky grin as he began to walk into the grass where pokemon lurked. ”Zeo come on! Be a little adventurous.” he tried to encourage the psychic pokemon. Fuck off Zeo slammed into his head, before teleporting right in front of Kash and kicking him in the head.
”Fuck; really come on. Your other trainer could’ve been this huge swearing guy but trust me, I want to help you out. Give me the chance. Wait you’re the new pokemon. What happened in the lab?”
That wasn’t enough for Zeo, he teleported about fifteen feet away from Kash. The Abra had only one goal in mind, which was to destroy that pokeball.

Name;; Surskit lvl. 7 Gender;; Female Ability;; Swift Swim Attacks;; Bubble and Quick Attack
Hiding in the tall grass was a smallish pokemon, a blueish green in colour with a yellow tube like fitting on it's head and with beady little eyes, and four legs. The Surskit resembled a funny looking spider with a few less legs, and it was just as timid as one to. It didn't come out of hiding just yet as it watching the human and it's pokemon fighting. It could see that the Abra didn't much like his master just yet, but the little Surskit could understand that quite well. The violence was somewhat unncessary however.
Though it was quite interesting to watch, that was for sure.
As the Abra teleported away, the timid bug pokemon skitted forwards through the grass, causing it to rustle, before she emerged into Kash's line of sight. She rose up as much as she could on her front two spindly legs and looked up at the human with curious, and fearing eyes. The critter was trying to decide if it wanted to get closer still, or if it wanted to protect its territory, and attack the human and it's pokemon. After a short moment of debate it decided on the former, and crept closer still, wanting to see more. Besides, the Abra was doing a fairly good job of attacking the human itself, and Surskit didn't think there was any need to add to any complications.
Finally the pokemon stopped just a few feet away, leaning back on it's back legs just incase it needed to make a quick get away, before it braved to get closer still, and a moment later was crawling up Kash's leg, attempting to climb up him to get to his shoulder and explore a little more.

”Do you remember me being a prick to you Zeo? No. I don’t appreciate you doing this to me. I really don’t understand why you’re being so mean to me. I want to have a good relationship with you. So why are you doing this? Do I look like an expert at this? I’m just as new as you are to the whole training in the wild. I used to train in a academy. Do you know what that is? A controlled area with controlled pokemon. Nothing over the level of about twenty, it was easy. Now, this is hard. I have you and I have another pokemon. You can meet him later, but really I don’t need to deal with this. I picked you because I thought I loved Abras. Clearly, you helped me change my mind. I should’ve gone with the Dusclops. He had less personality, you cause me grieve and I don’t appreciate it. So when you’re ready to stop being a mean pokemon and want to at least listen to what I have to say because trust me, I kind of know what I’m talking about. I know strategy and you know instincts. So take what I have to say and think if it works, if not you can use your instincts to do whatever the fuck you want. TELEPORT YOUR ASS WHEREVER THE FUCK YOU WANNA GO. When you are ready to listen to me, for real. LET ME KNOW. I’LL BE RIGHT FREAKING HERE.”
This was one of Kash’s notorious rants. He wanted Zeo to hear how he felt, his very first pokemon shouldn’t be so difficult but no, Zeo just had a million and one things to say and randomly kick his trainer in the face before teleporting away. ”I swear, I’m going to catch myself a freaking Drowsee and disable your Teleport.” he was pissed but did Zeo care, no. Not at all.
Zeo the Abra had a rough childhood, in the sense that he was snatched from his mother Kadabra at a young age. Granted, it was from the farms so it was kind of off that they didn’t just hand over the egg and they let Zeo actually get a relationship with his mom before sending him off. That was a stupid part from whatever farm they came from. Zeo’s mother had been very docile, and very sweet yet a strong battler which is what made her eggs so valuable. In this region there wasn’t much Abra’s at all so this was a real treat for Kash to have. Anyways, Zeo went to the lab with nothing but bitter feelings. He tried sending telepathic messages back to his mother but it didn’t work. Zeo had been a young psychic and because of that he wasn’t strong enough to keep a connection to the one person that he really wanted a connection with. Just so you know; I still hate you but I will somewhat listen to you Zeo was beginning to be civil, but it was all a front. The abra quickly teleported and kicked Kash in the shin before going back to his original destination with his arms crossed.
”GAH; ZEO. STOP PLEASE. Why did I choose a Psychic pokemon? You really do make my life hard. I just want to be friends. Honest.” Kash looked like a crazy having a one-way conversation but there was no one in the area to judge the poor kid. The blonde haired male was angry before he saw the cute little Surskit. Look I have a new friend to play with; I don’t need you anymore. jealousy worked quite well from Kash’s experience.
Kash let the water pokemon climb up his legs, it tickled slightly as he chuckled very softly he didn’t want to scare off his new acquaintance. From his loud obnoxious voice that he was using with Zeo he turned into a softer more caring trainer, ”Hi, I’m Kash.” he spoke very softly letting the Surskit explore his body. It tickled but it was worth it, she was very adventurous and he liked that about the pokemon. He smiled; things were finally going the way he wanted. Now he could just catch the Surskit and let Zeo go, Zeo was an asshole anyways. Not something he would want in his team, an arrogant pokemon who didn’t listen.
However, jealousy now ran through the psychic pokemon’s veins. In his mind terrible ideas played like a television show. From stomping on the bug to teleporting it far away he just wanted it gone. He would need to be sneaky about it though. The perfect scheme plotted its way into his brain, now he would just need to execute it perfectly so that it went the way he planned.
Kash was having the time of his life in the corner; he slowly began to pet the Surskit with his left hand. He kind of questioned the laws of gravity seeing how the spider had been at a 90-degree angle but that’s what spiders did. The water pokemon probably had something sticky on her legs, he didn’t want to check by lifting up the Surskit’s legs and freak her the fuck out. He just stood there in bliss, an awkward bliss.
It begins now. Zeo spoke to himself as he began his plan to get the water pokemon away from his trainer. It wasn’t as if he wanted Kash, he just didn’t want anyone else to have him. He started by teleporting a few inches away from the Surskit’s face. He took a deep breath and blew air straight into her face trying to piss her off. He then leapt a few feet back and unleashed a powerful Hidden Power straight into the air. Zeo was lucky as he got a Psychic Hidden Power tm, probably bred for it. Purple orbs of energy landed on the floor around him, if this wasn’t a display of dominance Kash had no idea what was.
All the trainer could do was cringe and be excited for the amount of power Zeo held within his arsenal. He hoped that the Surskit wouldn’t hit him, he really didn’t want to deal with fainting because a pokemon used a bubblebeam straight in his face. He didn’t dare move though, one move would cause the Surskit to freak the fuck out and probably attack kash.

The female Surskit found the human's and his Abra's relationship to be rather strange. She'd seen a lot of Trainers and their pokemon, but very few acted in a manner similar to this; like they were some sort of enemies. Usually the pokemon were more docile and the trainers bribed them with treats and the choice to walk freely beside them. They certainly didn't fight like this though - and the Surskit was finding it all very interesting to watch, so she was curious enough to stay there, and to observe her surroundings and the situation.
The critter was also enjoying exploring the human boy's body as it skitted all the way up to his shoulder. She perched herself there, and then rose her front right arm and poked the side of his face, to feel the skin. She at this point had no idea that Abra was actually getting jealous, or some such, and that he was just about to have a show of dominance. The Surskit didn't much like conflict, as she was just a low level pokemon, and only knew two attacks in which to defend herself, so she'd rather not get in a fight.
As Kash petted her, she froze at first, finding the contact to be alien, and strange, and even a little bit scary, but soon relaxed into the touch, and was enjoying it, until ofcourse Abra went about trying to ruin her fun. She made a surprised sound as the psychic pokemon suddenly appeared before her and blew in her face. Out of surprise, a thick syrupy goo excreted from the top of her head, from the yellow tube like structure, and she turned her attention to Abra, not in the least bit happy at being attacked like that. Though she was intimidated though, she would not stand for it, and wasted no time in opening her tiny mouth, and while still standing upon Kash, let loose her bubble attack which slammed through the air towards Abra.

Kash was pretty amused to be quite honest, he never knew Zeo to be the jealous type. This was a very intriguing concept as he gently ran his right hand on his other pokemon’s pokeball. If anything he would have to use jealousy as a way to get Zeo to listen to him. The only downside is that eventually Zeo would develop a ‘I don’t Care’ sort of complex and this wouldn’t work. He only had about a week to try to get Zeo to trust him, which would be a hard thing to do. The amount of power that Zeo had surely came with some sort of ego, and he had every right to be rude he was a very strong creature. ”Okay; Surskit. I’m pretty sure that Zeo is crazy and will attack me so I’m going to let you off. Good luck! You can win! Show him whose boss!” he spoke as he grabbed the Surskit and planted her onto the floor. The gooey like substance was now on his fingers as he cringed wiping it on the grass. Kash moved himself to the middle of the battlefield almost enjoying both of these two pokemon go at it. This would teach Zeo a lesson to not mess with crazy pokemon, he needed to be sincere and humble at times or he may face a wild pokemon that outleveled him so much that in one move Zeo would faint. Regardless of how strong Zeo was, he knew that this Surskit was no push over either. She out leveled him and he wondered if Zeo could do this on his own. He sent his Abra a message; So, if you need help just holler. I’ll be right here watching you get your ass kicked.
Zeo muttered a laugh under his breath filled with sarcasm; he wouldn’t lose this fight, especially not to a pathetic looking pokemon like Surskit. He roared before he began his teleporting dance trying to dodge the bubbles. There had been way too much though as he got hit by at least half of them. The psychic pokemon clutched for the right side of his pokemon, it must’ve hurt a lot.
It was a very rude thing for Kash to do but he was laughing, this was called Bittersweet Revenge. He got harassed and attacked by the same pokemon whose cockiness was now his downfall. Karma made Kash smile in glee; this was the best thing to happen to him. He didn’t want to cheer for the wild Surskit that might cause a swift kick to Kash’s face that is something that the trainer did not want. His jaw had still been hurting after the last attack from Zeo.
Zeo the Abra sent his foe a quick message via telepathy What do you see in him anyways? He’s crude and offensive and you were so nice to him. He’s the enemy; he catches pokemon and trains them to fight other pokemon. You are a traitor are for those reasons I must call you traitor. Zeo only had two attacks that he could use and one of them was teleport, there were only so much different variations that he could do with those two moves. He moved his right hand to grasp his left forearm as if he was creating a support system for his left arm. In the palm of his left hand a small purple light began to glow, in a matter of seconds it grew to about twice the size of his hands. Zeo’s body got sent back a few inches by the strength of the Hidden Power but it was aimed straight for the Surskit. It was about halfway to his opponent before he closed his left hand and the large orb split into twenty different pieces. At least one of them should’ve hit his opponent. The energy that it took to do that left Zeo kind of drained, he still had enough power to do a few more moves but that was something he needed to work on, endurance. It was good to be strong and powerful but if you could only launch two moves before getting tired, that didn’t make for a decent fighter at all. Zeo kept his eyes open and stared daggers at the Surskit only wondering what exactly its next moves were.
Kash stood their awe-struck, he never knew the sort of control Zeo had in his moves. He almost felt bad for the Surskit and wanted to save him but she would have to be a sacrificial lamb. She would need to get beat up so that Kash and Zeo grew closer as a team. One day they would fully trust each other, but that would take a few months to get to the point where they trusted each other with their lives. Right now Kash wouldn’t even trust Zeo with a pencil. After observing his friend he noticed that Zeo fought as if he was a fighting type not a psychic type. Not even once did he see his Abra meditating, it’s a little strange but he would need to re-teach Zeo how to fight as a psychic type. He would also need to grab some tms for the poor pokemon, Hidden Power would only get you so far. Kash sent a message to his pokemon, You’re not fighting like a Psychic pokemon. You’re using attacks at face value, it’s typical and easy to maneuver out of. You’re psychic, be a little more crafty with your moves. For example: take a meditation stance and float above the grass. Listen with your ears and hear for the move, once you hear it teleport and quickly send an attack to your opponent. Or better yet, use future sight and blind-side them when you get the chance. You don’t have enough physical attack to stand in the line of combat and take hits left and right. It may sound like I’m commanding you but I’m not, I’m only giving you advice so you become a better fighter. Honest.

The little Surskit was quite fine with being put on the ground, now that she was rearing for battle. Had she still been exploring Kash's and trying to figure out what sort of person he was, then she might have been startled by suddenly being grabbed like that and set down, but her mind was set on not letting this Abra get away with threatening her. What was his deal any ways? She hadn't done any thing to him, and he didn't even appear to like his master, so why did he care if she payed the young man any attention? She had just been curious ...
"I haven't seen many humans before, and I don't know what they are usually like, but it seems to me that you are the offensive one here, attacking your own master like that." The Surskit spoke to Abra, pushing forward on it's front two legs and then to the side as it saw the attack coming towards it. It initiated a quick attack, which it used to dodge out of the way of the incoming orbs, until one hit it on the side. Surskit came to stop a few metres away from Abra, making a sound quite similar to a hiss.
Without waiting, or wasting any time speaking to the other pokemon again, the Surskit jumped as high as it could in the air, and as it came down shot another blast of bubbles at the offending Abra. It was injured to, but she could be a feisty little critter when she wanted to be.

Zeo was getting pretty agitated at his trainer, at this point he was angry for a multitude of reasons. The first one was that he had one attack to use and this psychic hidden power was pissing him off, there were only so many ways to shot orbs into the sky. After this battle he would make Kash go get him some TMs or something because this teleportation and hidden power move set was just not working at all. Kash; please. I know what I’m doing. Honest. So let me be. If you hadn’t notice I only have two moves. My father was a Gallade so excuse me for getting traits from him. Sometimes straight-forward battling is the best way to do it. Zeo was sick and tired of Kash bothering him, it was easy enough to tune out his trainer. Once Kash decided to treat Zeo as an equal instead of a slave then this whole battling system would work but for now, he would just work with what he had.
The trainer, Kash was getting aggravated by his pokemon who wasn’t listening to anything he had to say. He shook his head as he crossed his arms in disproval. He should shut up now and just watch Abra fight, hopefully the Surskit would win and prove to the Abra that he wasn’t the strongest pokemon and they needed to work together as a team to get things to work. ”Good luck. You’ll need it.” he muttered under his breath as he watched Zeo and the wild Surskit continue their fight.
Zeo’s eyes enlarged as he watched the water pokemon move around, it was sheer luck that she was hit with the Hidden Power. The same move wouldn’t work twice and Zeo knew that. He monitored his opponent’s move and expected an attack soon enough. The Surskit hissed at Zeo angry from getting hit. The Surskit leapt into the air and released even more bubbles at him. He cringed; this time would would try something a little bit more clever.
The barrage of bubbles were all in a bunch kind of blurring the vision of anyone trying to look through them. Zeo waited for the perfect moment to strike, the bubbles were getting closer and he let the first few hit him sapping a bit of his energy. The rest of the bubbles were oncoming but he teleported right next to his opponent and used his fists to try and push his opponent twice. He leapt back two feet almost waiting to see what the Surskit would do now.
Kash almost wanted to return Zeo, he was fighting so foolishly but that was the sort of ideal process beginning pokemon had. Quick fast attacks didn’t always work. Are you ready to listen to me now Zeo. I’m never going to go away. the trainer sent one last telepathic message to his unwilling pokemon, a sort of plea trying to get on the Abra’s good side. It was probably useless but he would try.
Zeo the abra hissed at his trainer, he was getting annoyed. He was trying to focus at the battle at hand and he was getting distracted by the very pokemon whose job was supposed to be helping him, not being a nuisance. Kash. Do you want another swift kick in the face? that question was not rhetoric, how was he supposed to do two things at the same time. Deal with his trainer as well as taking on this opponent of his. If you want my respect you need to earn it. Treat me as your equal and this will all work out. Deal. Zeo’s eyes shifted direction as he looked at Kash. He was waiting for his answer.
Kash smirked as he walked through the mucky grass to behind Zeo; it was always a good idea for the trainer to be behind of their pokemon. Well, maybe not a good idea but everyone did it and it worked so why fix something that wasn’t broken? Okay Zeo. I’m glad we can finally work together. Kash was excited, it was finally time for them to work as a team. ”Okay keep your eyes on the Surskit. You don’t want to loose concentration and get blind-sided!” this brought back Kash to one of his many tournament battles. It was his second year at the academy, you could go for five and Kash had already been a promising trainer and it was his final battle in the tournament. Kash had his Milotic (his favorite pokemon of all time) and they were fighting against a powerful Luxray. Kash always commanded with brute force and his Milotic always listened, a very calm pokemon. They were doing so well dodging the electricity with combinations with Mist and Barrier. Kash had accidentally told his Milotic something to make her distracted and it costed Kash and his Milotic the battle. Of course this battle wasn’t that important but every battle mattered, this was a strength-building exercise. He was glad that they were finally on the same page (ish) but he knew that Zeo would still need to get used to having a trainer. Getting hit more from Zeo was inevitable. He was very head-strong in this thinking and because of that they would butt heads occasionally and they would have to deal with that. Kash learned that to be a decent trainer, you always needed to trust in your pokemon and turn fights (a negative thing) into a positive thing, with pokemon with huge opinions (like Zeo) you had a tug and pull sort of relationship. You have to give them some ground and some leverage but you also needed to make sure they knew you weren’t a push over. This was one of the hardest pokemon Kash ever had to train in his whole career.
He only hoped that it wasn’t a lost cause, one day Zeo would become even stronger and by that time he hoped that Zeo would be at a point where he could listen to Kash without giving him all this feedback and attitude. As an Alakazam those swift kicks would be nothing compared to the psychic attacks he would get if he didn’t change Zeo’s mind.

((Sorry for my rubbish post, I only just woke up xD))
The Surskit wasn't usually the type to enjoy fighting, but Abra had started this and he'd also startled and frightened her so she reacted by fighting back. She didn't particularly wish to fight, because she had been quite happy just sitting there with Kash and being the curious little critter that she was. She really didn't understand Abra's problem with her, or his master in fact, but whatever it was it didn't mean the psychic pokemon had to take his anger and frustration out on her. She'd really done nothing.
The pokemon watched her bubble attack land, but the next moment she found Abra beside her, pushing her away. She was smaller than him, so it wasn't that hard to get her away. The Surskit was forced a few feet away, but wasted no time in going after Abra with another quick attack. This time she moved in a zig zagged pattern so that it would be harder to trace her movements. She was quite determined to not lose, as she didn't want to inflate the Abra's ego any.

Zeo is a little crazy when it came to his ideals and his thought process but he was a psychic pokemon and was very young. In time he would realize his foolish ways and become the omnipresent sort of all-knowing psychic pokemon. Hopefully, that’s what Kash hoped at least. Right now Zeo was what you would call trigger-happy and scornful. He hated the Surskit because she had ruined his time to try and demise his trainer. As an attention-lover Zeo was in sheer bliss when he was getting all of the attention. It came from the pokemon professor lab because there had been so many beginner pokemon that they looked after that they had almost no one for Zeo to get any attention. Because of his no attention he began to attack other pokemon because he felt like it. He fainted a few rattatas and a tyrogue because they were staring at him. The professor after that always kept the Abra in a pokeball. It must’ve only been two weeks that he was there but the lab was hell for a pokemon like Zeo. Charlie just wanted to get rid of him because he was a hassle. If he got some attention, none of these problems would have happened. This is where his resentment for not getting attention began, he in a twisted way liked Kash because even despite all the hardships Zeo forced on his trainer, he really wanted a good relationship with Zeo. Would this change anything? This almost revelation that Zeo was having, probably not, but he realized that Kash really did care for him not only as a pokemon but as a partner. Zeo would push Kash to the edges, to see how far he could be pushed before finally becoming tamable. It wasn’t that Zeo didn’t like his trainer, it was more of a ‘I need to make sure that this guy will have my back no matter what’, and seeing how Kash was now behind him trying to tell Zeo what the best plan is, was really an indicator that Kash was genuinely a good trainer.
Zeo was trying to make a plan to finish off the Surskit, the forest really had no items or factors to turn the tide of battle. His eyes shifted around quickly scanning everything from the grass to the trees, he could grab a branch and squash the Surskit for the arachnid that it was but that was a cheap shot. This abra had a small sense of camaraderie because of the fighting pokemon blood that ran through his veins. His father was a Gallade and because of him he liked battles that weren’t won using cheap shots or trick moves. He was a psychic pokemon, which made it difficult, but he had no such moves so he didn’t need to worry. A Psychic power hidden power was the best thing he could do for now, which honestly wasn’t much but it was a move, he was thankful to Charlie for that at least, if he only had teleport, well, he might never level. Zeo knew that if he wanted help, he would need to ask Kash. Kash, now I’m desperate. Do you have any advice? I’m sick and tired of using Hidden Power. Help me Change it up. Please. Zeo gritted his teeth as those last words came out of his mouth, he wasn’t used to saying please. It was a sign of desperation to Zeo, so if Kash knew anything, Zeo was tired and barely had any stamina to battle and wanted to finish this as soon as possible.
Kash was being amused, which was strange feeling especially with Zeo. ”You need my help? No way. I like this Surskit. I want him to win instead.” Kash retorted back to Zeo who you could see was getting angry and fast, ”Relax. Jeeze. Let me think a bit.” he finished it off as his mind went full-speed thinking of a way to defeat the Surskit.
Kash. I’m not kidding. Don’t make me hit you with a Hidden Power. Because I will. The seriousness of Zeo was something to be afraid of, he acted as if he was an old man when it came to battling. Very script and proper, kash had a brilliant idea though. ”here. My idea is, well let me think it to you.” there would be no point in telling it outloud because then the Surskit could hear it.
So what you do is, teleport around the Surskit releasing your Hidden Power in a circle trying to hit her. Remember to aim above her as well, she can jump Kash finished his thought with a smile; it was a brilliant idea in his opinion.
Zeo made a surprising noise and was hit square in the chest. This caused Zeo to hit very low levels and he looked like he was going to faint at any time. ”Damn.” Kash mumbled beneath his breath a she popped out Zeo’s pokeball from his necklace and returned him for a nice long rest.
”Let’s go Hel!” he said as a small black bird was released; he encircled the Surskit ready to do some sort of fighting. ”Okay Hel. Use Peck now!” he commanded with a stern voice, Hel was the more rational pokemon who actually liked and listened to Kash.
Hel gawked in the sky, he brought his wings in and dove straight down for the Surskit. His beak grew in size as he aimed for the head of the Surskit and tried to give it one hard peck. He then hovered above waiting to see the aftermath of the damage.
Kash was impressed, Hel really did work-hard when he battled and unlike Zeo, Hel would never attack Kash. Hel was rescued from a pokemon adoption agency and the owner before Hel was a cruel, cruel man, Hel was eternally grateful for Kash’s rescue and he showed his appreciation through his battling. No matter what he did, Hel always did it to the best of his ability. This is why Hel was Kash’s finisher, he was reliable and could always put up his best effort no matter the situation.
EXP: 3,165 + 1,030. Total Exp for Zeo: 4,195.
Exp for Hel: 0. ooc| in situations like these, do both pokemon get 1,030 or does Hel get 186 and Zeo gets 844?

((I'm pretty sure they both get the same, but best check with Bella ))
Surskit was happy in the knowledge that she was currently winning, or so it seemed to her. She could have a bit of an ego at times, but she was only fighting because she had been attacked. When she wasn't provoked the female was calm and docile and liked to spend time curiously exploring her surroundings and any trainers that were nice enough to come near her without attacking her or any thing. Zeo had really put her in a bad mood however, and she was determined to make him pay for that, no matter how much effort it was going to take.
Her mind was racing for a new way to attack the Abra, but she was taken aback as he lost his energy, and then the male trainer's voice caught her attention. A large bird pokemon appeared in the sky, and the Surskit looked up in horror. She had a fear of birds, and for good reason to - she was much smaller compared to the larger creature, and they were also her weakness. She froze in place, watching as the dark bird came cloder and closer, widening it's beak and ready to attack her. Surskit didn't like this.
She moved at the last minute, veering off to the left, but it was too late and she was hit in the side. The force of the attack pushed her over and she tumbled along until she became quite still. The gooey substance from her head oozed out as she attempted at last to rise back on her four legs, but she was now extremely weak.
