A Fine Team (FINISHED)

Fox and his Dratini had been walking for days it had seem. They had left the pokemon lab yesterday and had traveled a lot of ground. They both knew they missed the first gym but Fox wanted to catch a great team at the lake before heading back to receive his first gym. Taking out his pokeball he tossed it in front of him, a flash of light burst in the air as a small little dragon pokemon came out. "Dratinnnniiiii!" She shouted out loud. She had looked at her master and smiled as she jumped on Fox's shoulder and began to look for anything that could help get Fox some new pokemon to join him. Fox laughed as he loved his Dratini's personality, so energetic and ready for anything. Turning his head toward his pokemon, "Okay buddy, were looking for dragon pokemon. But we will not give up if we can't find any of them here. We will deal with what we get okay. Because we need a team to help move on with the gyms." Fox spoke as he stopped on the road as he made sure his pokemon listened to him. The small pokemon nodded her head and both of them kept walking up the path that lead them to the Crystal Lake Path.

On the ground, the trainer would see a lone Magikarp out of the water. It wasn't moving... was it dead..? Ewwww... No! Wait! A Fin twitched!

Fox had almost stepped on the fish like pokemon who seemed to be looking dead before Dratini shouted, "Dratiniiiiiii!" Fox stopped walking as he looked down on the ground and saw the magikarp. This was perfect well almost, he knew that it would be very hard to train this pokemon due to the fact its really weak. "Ok, lets go Dratini...use Wrap now!" Fox shouted as he pointed at the water pokemon. Dratini jumped off of Fox's shoulder and lunged at the magikarp and prepared itself to be wraped around the magikarp. Fox took out a pokeball from his bag to be ready to catch this magikarp.

The Magikarp wasn't really sure which did it, the lack of oxygen to the point it couldn't even wiggle on the ground anymore, or the mean Dratini that couldn't tell it was already weak enough to catch. I think Flies were starting to be attracted to its smell. Dratini would feel the sliminess as it wrapped around the Magikarp's scales, the stench was probably gonna take weeks to come off.

Dratini could feel the slime coming off of the weak fish known as magikarp. She immieditly squeezed the pokemon even harder. As soon as the attack was done Dratini lunged backwards toward Fox waiting for Fox to do something next. Fox looked down and notice the smell of the magikarp on Dratini he sighed and threw a pokeball at the magikarp. "Dratini you need a bath!" Fox spoke with a smile on his face as he almost laughed out loud. Dratini gave Fox an evil look but soon found it funny she knew she would give that magikarp a run for its money. "Wonder if we can get any luckier with another form of a dragon." Fox spoke to his dratini as they both waited for the ding to be heard from the pokeball.

The ball hit the Magikarp who was sucked into the tiny sphere. The ball rolled around a bit before falling silent.

*magikarp caught*

It seemed there weren't any pokemon over here anymore... perhaps you'd have better luck over by the tree in the distance..?

Nodding to himself Fox walked over to the pokeball and grabbed it. Great he thought his second pokemon that will turn out to be a great dragon pokemon. Bad thing he had thought was that it was a magikarp leveling it up with experience will be the hardest thing in the world he thought. Dratini gave a big smile and laugh at Fox and crawled up onto his shoulder. "Lets try by that tree maybe something is over there then after that we will go close to the lake on the other side. After that we will do one last sweep around the ground area then we can go train with our new friends okay Dratini?" Fox spoke to his dratini about his plan for the day at this lake. Dratini liked the plan and both of them went toward the nearby tree.

There were three pokemon of the same species sitting in the tree. White, fluffy wings and two blue feathers sticking up like antenna were the trademark of this pokemon. The Swablu didn't seem to take notice of the person below, too preoccupied sleeping at this time of night.

Perfect Fox had thought to himself in matter of seconds when Fox had saw the three birds both him and Dratini looked at each other with big eyes. Those two were surely meant for each other, "Dratini time for a real battle. Target the third on the right. Use Wrap, and while you have it wrapped with your body use Leer!" Fox shouted as his Dratini had already jumped off the shoulder and soon used its strength to jump into the air and using its body to grasp the Swablu on the right. If it did hit or not it was already reading a leer attack to make the pokemon weak in defense as Dratini's eyes glowed.

The battle began before the Swablu had any idea what was going on. The small form of the Dratini took the Swablu off the branch causing it to fall to the ground. The other two woke up and in a hurry took to the sky, thinking it had been some form of preditor. The third was stuck on the ground wriggling, trying to escape from the Dratini as it stared into its eyes for a moment. Thrusting its beak down time and time again on the Dratini, it would attempt to do some damage to its captor. The wrap was doing damage, but the pecking would hurt the snake pokemon more if it wasn't careful.

Fox's plan worked it had got the pokemon out of the tree and onto the ground. Though the fight had just now begun, Fox could see Dratini taking some damage from the peak of the bird. "Try your best to withstand the pecking, now squeeze harder....Now let go fall out, let it come to you!" Fox spoke he knew his next attack would be risky but it could get him his pokemon. The dratini listen as it had already knew what Fox's plan was it did one last squeeze from the wrap and felt the pecking of the peak of the bird. Squinting her eyes she felt two hard pecks on her body. Suddenly letting go it fell back toward Fox as it waited for the bird to come after it. "Wait for it, wait for it, now Draco Meteor!" Fox shouted as he was getting really exicted and very into this battle. Dratini was focusing and didn't want to lose her focus it waited and waited and soon her eyes glowed and she lifted herself and flipped as she had now summoned a few large meteors from the sky that soon would crash onto the flying bird.

When the pokemon trainer had said 'now' Swablu had almost grown in size, its blue body twice as large as it was before, its mouth open to the point it would swollow Dratini whole. The pokemon would be sent for a spin and lose its concentration in the gigantic attack it was preparing for. Thus was the bad thing about powerful moves, a simple and quick move could interupt it and this Swablu wasn't about to just roll over and play dead. The pokemon would shrink back to its original size a second later, the Illusion going away before it would peck at its target smartly on the head. Its form taking off into the sky as it flew out of the Dratini's normal reach. It didn't know what attack it had been about to use... but then again, it'd be safe up here where the legless snake couldn't get it.

Fox grunted as he saw that his plan had failed, and Dratini got a little annoyed as the fact the bird can fly and she couldn't. Glaring at the fluffy bird pokemon waiting for the next order to be given. Fox looked at Dritini and knew she couldn't do anything but wait till the bird came at it to atack, though he remember Dritini had one attack that could go in flight. Smiling he pointed at the bird, "Okay buddy, use Thudner Wave then hopefully another Draco Meteor in hopes it would hit the pokemon!" Fox shouted with a smirk. Dritini smiled back as she forgot she had thunder wave and sent a small jolt of eletricity toward the bird pokemon to paralyze it and then did a small flip as once again it began to summon to large meteors from the sky toward the bird.

The Swablu hadn't expected the lightning type attack from the little blue snake thing and was suckered into paralysis, hitting the ground with a thud before the meteors fell down on top of it, its body too ceased up to react or anything. The Pokemon was battered away as a Meteor landed next to it, the force would have killed it had it hit it directly. The pokemon lay on the ground, unmoving, its eyes closed and a "luuuuuuuuuuuu~" escaping its open beak as it lay on the ground, exhausted. That... gotta hurt xD

Fox was static his counter attack had worked and he grabbed a pokeball from his bag and tossed it at the bird pokemon. Dratini jumped up and down and she saw her attacked work, "Dratiniiiiii!" she shouted out loud. Looking Dratini slowly jumped on Fox's shoulder and waited for the new addition to be caught. "Sweet, so we have you magikarp, and swablu hopefully. Maybe we could fine two more here though I shouldn't get too exicted seeing how getting one of these dragon pokemon was just out luck. Right Dratini?" Fox spoke to his dratini and waited patiently for his new addition to his team to be caught.
