Alright the First Badge is nearly ours.[Janessa]

After his first capture at the crystal lake Michael headed backwards. Why? it was time for him to challenge for the first gym well not quiet yet but soon enough it would be. Michael had finaly made it to the first city of his quest. Now he needed to start training though why? cuse he was headed for the first gym and aiming to claim his first badge of the star Region it was not going to be easy any gym battle was never easy so he was geting ready to take down the gym things where looking up for him.

"I hope you guys are ready for some suriours training guys cuse we aint leaveing this area until we get that badge" Michael said to water lord and his starter Dragon Lord Michael was more than ready to bring the badge home but first he had to be sure he was ready to take the gym leader down. It wasnt going to be easy that was for sure but it was going to be fun none the less.

Janessa had begun to grow tired of wandering from Sakura Forest to Crystal Lake Path and back again, over and over, in her effort to train and catch Pokemon. So, she finally decided to explore the first couple of cities. She decided to try and find the gym, since she was going to be going there at some point soon, and she didn't want to get lost on the way to her very first important battle!

However she didn't actually make it to the gym before she bumped into a fellow trainer- literally. She was turning a corner and she wasn't really looking where she was heading... and then she walked right into Michael. "Oof." She gasped as they collided with each other. Then she blushed slightly and took a few hurried steps backwards.

"Oh, um, I'm so sorry." Janessa apologized quickly, slightly embarassed. She looked down at the ground as she spoke. "I guess I wasn't paying much attention... too busy daydreaming and stuff." She explained. Then she looked back up at the guy that she had stumbled into. He looked like a trainer, and for some reason that made her feel more comfortable.

Janessa smiled at Michael. "I'm Janessa, by the way." She introduced herself.

"No problem" Michael said laughing as he blinked as he noticed how the women was dressed as a wide smirk came on his face she was a trainer...oh boy Michael's first trainer battle before the gym and this was a perfect chance for him to bring out his newly caught Horsea for some EXP they both needed some lving before they went to take on the gym. Gym leaders where no push overs so he had to be sure he was ready. Michael grabed Water Lord's pokeball as he smirked and clicked it to enlarge before speaking to the girl she was cute but a battle was a battle.

"You seem like good trainer lets battle!" Michael declared as he jumped backwards into a somewhat of a flip before flinging the pokeball upward. "Water lord! Stand By For battle!" Michael yelled as a little horse like pokemon came out of the ball. "Sea!!" It cried as it landed on its side of the the battle feild waiting for the Trainer to call out its Pokemon. This was Michael's first battle and being Michael's recently caught Pokemon She didn't want to let Michael down and would do everything in her power to win.

Janessa relaxed even more as Michael laughed and said that it was no problem. She smiled happily, and then noticed that he was getting a pokeball ready to release the Pokemon that was within. 'So, I was right, after all. He is a Pokemon trainer. And with a cute Pokemon, too! Look at that Horsea, so cute...' She thought. 'Well, he certainly didn't beat around the bush when asking for a battle!' She laughed slightly, but nodded. "A battle sounds like a good idea." She agreed, taking a few steps back to make room for the battle that was about to begin.

'Let's see. Horsea is a water type... so even though Pyro needs more training than Gan, I probably shouldn't try and use a fire type against a water type. So I'll start out with Gan.' Janessa thought as she pulled her Skarmory's pokeball off of her belt. She enlarged the pokeball, and then released the Pokemon that was contained within it. Ganbaatar appeared in the usual flash of red light, looking as intimidating as usual. He gazed around the area, looking from Janessa to the new trainer, Michael, to Michael's Horsea. <Another battle? I'm more than ready.> He said in his Pokemon speech, turning to face his opponent with a determined look on his face.

"Alrighty then, Ganbaatar. Let's start out with a Sand Attack to lower its accuracy!" Janessa commanded with an excited tone in her voice. Ganbaatar nodded, spread his large metal wings, and then flapped hard a few times, kicking up dust and sand and dirt and other tiny particles of random stuff, and sent it flying at the Horsea in an attempt to lower its accuracy, just like Janessa had said.

Seeing the Sand attack coming Michael smirked as he looked at water lord. "You ready for your first battle Water Lord?" Michael asked the horsea nodded with a loud SEA as Michael chuckled he saw the sand attack coming closer and was getting suriours now. "Alright Water lord Doge!" Michael yelled as the horsea jumped in the air getting out of the way of the sand attack. Perfect he chose right when chose this water Pokemon when had a choice between the male and female and he chose the female Pokemon looks like he made the perfect choice of the two.

"alright Horsea now lets counter with our own Accuracy lowering attack Use smokescreen!" Michael ordered as the horsea nodded as it took a deep breath before breathing out a bunch of smoke. "Seeeea!" It cried as the smoke was released around the trainer and its pokemon this was a way to their advantage that was for sure alright now it was time to go on the offensive couldn't let an opportunity like this go to wait now could he. Not often you could an opening like Michael had just gotten it was rare to get something like this Michael than pointed his hand out and declared an order.

"Alright water lord go on the offensive's charge in and use bubble" Michael ordered as the Horsea nodded charging in before releasing some bubbles. "SEEEA!" It cried as the bubbles where launched at the trainers Pokemon. Alright nice opening if Michael did say so himself.

Janessa felt a thrill run through her as Michael started commanding his own Pokemon to dodge and attack. She almost always felt this way when she was participating in a Pokemon battle. It was just such an extremely exciting experience! Totally amazing. She wondered why not everybody decided to go on a Pokemon journey. Anyways, she had a battle to focus on, this was no time for wondering and daydreaming and getting lost in thought.

"Ganbaatar! Put those big wings of yours to good use!" Janessa said excitedly. "Flap them to help get rid of the smokescreen!" She elaborated to make sure that her Skarmory knew what she was meaning for him to do. Ganbaatar nodded briskly, spreading his big metal wings out. Then he flapped them a couple of times to clear the air from the smokescreen. Janessa smiled, glad that her plan had worked as well as she had expected it to. Unfortunately, the bubble attack hit Ganbaatar full-on. He winced slightly as the bubbles popped against his steely armor. It kind of stung a bit...

"Okay, Ganbaatar. Time to get airborne!" Janessa announced with a gleeful grin on her face. She loved having flying type Pokemon. Ganbaatar started to flap his wings yet again, but this time he lifted off the ground and began soaring around the battle field. "Alright, Gan! Do your thing!" Janessa shouted up to her Skarmory, who immediately obeyed.

Ganbaatar dove speedily down towards the little Horsea like a... well, like something fast. As soon as he was within attacking distance, he attempted to land a nice hard peck attack right on the Horsea's head. After executing this attack, he swerved back upwards and began circling the Horsea like a vulture would circle a dead body. Very intimidating.... or so he hoped.
