The two had left the lab at this point, and were currently traveling through the pink trees of the Sakura forest. Growlithe was out, and walking along side Fang, who kept casting sideways glances in his direction. Every time he did, the pokemon turned at the exact same time to look at him, and Fang couldn't help repeating the action for that very reason.
After examinging this phenomenom a final time, he turned to Kame, "I need to stop by my mom's in Stormcloud." He informed him, "She has a couple of pokemon for me that I helped train when I lived with her, and some other stuff." They were low level pokemon, but he was more than prepared to train them up, "I'm sure she has one you can have as well." She was a breeder, after all.

Kame, like Fang, still had his pokemon out. Rather than walking beside him howevger, the cheeky little Pichu had made itself comfortable on top of his head, where it could see into the distance and watch things closely as they walked. Every once in a while the blonde would feel a slight electric pulse and it frightened him that the little monster of a pokemon would hurt him, but he was glad to see that the creature wasn't harmful, just playful really. Kame really loved it though! It was so cute, and he was already planning his bonding.
The boy turned to Fang as he spoke, glancing down once at the Growlithe and smiling at it before looking back up. His smile turned into a cheeky grin. "Oh, I'd love to see your mother! Do you think she's missed seeing me?" He asked innocently. Kame was always flirting with Fang's mother, just harmlessly, but even so. He absolutely adored the woman and loved going to visit her, so ofcourse he had no problem with this plan.

Of course Fang had made a comment about the Pichu on Kame's head, as well as given his friend several weirded-out looks regarding it. Everything that the boy did was so, well, him. He didn't predict it, but he certainly was never surprised by things, such as his choice of type of pokemon, color pokedex, and letting the little mouse creature ride on his head. It was all so typical of Kame.
For a moment Fang looked rather worried, "Unfortunately I'm sure she has." He responded. Kame and his mother were always flirting with each other, and were such great friends. Honestly the boy got along with her better than he did, and it was always so awkward to stand there as they complimented each other on the way they looked or whatever they were wearing and such.

There weren't many things about Kame that surprised people at all any more, unless they never knew the boy. He could be somewhat predictable, and yet surprising at the same moment. It was especially strange seeing him beside his brother, for the older male was so much different than Kame. Kariyu was tall and gloomy and depressed, and he barely ever smiled. Her certainly never hugged anyone, like Kamekai tended to do. In fact the older male was probably more like Fang, whereas Kame the complete opposite of him. Everyone thought his and Fang's relationship was a little weird, and it certainly was.
The boy's smile only grew wider at Fang's response and a slight giggle escaped his lips. "One day I could be your step-father." He teased, flashing a wink at the male. Really though, the way that Kame and Fang's mother behaved at each other anyone would think they were actually trying to impress each other, or there was something going on there. Kame certainly found the woman attractive, but obviously the woman was too old for him. It was fun flirting with her, however.

Fang halted where he stood at Kame's words, staring incredulously at his friend, obviously a little freaked out by the idea of that happening. His body shook in an exaggerated shiver, as if shaking off the thoughts of such a thing, "That's just creepy." He informed the boy, before picking up his pace again as he resumed walking.
The male was forced to a stop for a second time as a bush to his left rattled, and a little tiny pink pokemon suddenly came running from it. It clearly appeared scared as its arms flailed about in an attempt to make its little legs run faster. It seemed to be on the run from something else, which was close in pursuit as the bush rattled again.

"I'd be a great step-dad!" Kame pointed out, "And we're already best friends, so its not like you would have some weird hate relationship with me because I stole your mother away." Actually the more he thought about it, the more sense it made. Ofcourse Kamekai would much rather be dating Fang himself, though he never told him that. Part of the reason he spent so much time around the boy was because he was practically in love with him, and wanted the chance to spend time with him, even if he knew Fang would never like him in the same way.
He was distracted however, by the shaking of the bush as well, and turned his attention to it as the little pink pokemon came running out, obviously afraid of something. Kame didn't blame it either as just moments later a large black snake pokemon came slithering after it, hissing as spit flew from it's mouth. It had some pretty large fangs on it. Immediately the Pichu on Kame's head jumped down and darted after the pink pokemon, reaching out for it's tiny hand in order to help it get away from the snake.
"Come back here Pichu!" Kame called, and then quickly deciding that there was no way he could let the poor defenceless thing fall prey to the predator he went after them aswell, and made to scoop them both up in his arms. "Fang, do something!"

((You can give Pichu EXP for your last post. He participated XP))
Fang rolled his eyes in response to Kame's words. He wasn't interested in arguing with the boy. There was no way in hell that that was ever going to happen, and that was that, end of conversation. He'd probably kill Kame if he asked his mom to marry him or something. He was way too young anyways! She was like, in her late thirties or something, nearing forty. That would just be freaky.
The boy's attention followed the Pichu after the tiny pink pokemon, and he watched as Kame aimed to grab them both. The Happiny struggled for a moment, afraid of what had just grabbed it, before it realized that Kame and the Pichu were only trying to help. It calmed immediately, turning about in the boy's arms in order to find the giant snake that had been chasing it.
Fang was not surprised when Kame practically demanded that he be the one to do something to battle the Seviper. He didn't mind though, as it was a chance to test his pokemon's battling skills, "Growlithe!" The pokemon stepped forward immediately, leaping into action, "Use Bite, and don't attack it from head on." He didn't want the firey pokemon running straight into those huge fangs.
Growlithe sprang forward, darting to the side, then cutting in, then shooting to the opposite side. It advanced in this random pattern of zigs and zags, before making an attempt at darting in, and sinking its fangs hard into some part of the Seviper's body.

That's what Kame thought to, but ofcourse he liked Fang more than he liked his mother. If Fang were any way inclined towards males then Kame would have made his move on him already, but ofcourse he was aware of his friends love for the ladies (which actually made his want to take Fang with him to see his cousin even less). Obviously this made Kame sad, but that didn't mean he was going to give up entirely. There was no way he'd just forget the way he felt, and let Fang out of his grasp. He just needed to persuade the boy that he was more like him.
The blonde looked down at the Happiny and made soothing sounds with his lips in order to try and calm it as it struggled, but was happy when it stopped fighting without hurting him or anything. "It's okay. That scary Seviper isn't going to hurt you." He told it, as Pichu tilted it's head and squeezed out of Kame's arms in order to sit back on top of his head. Kame smiled somewhat nervously as it did, afraid that it might get carried away and shock him.
The Seviper hissed as Growlithe stepped forwards, it's attention on him. His tail rattled as the canine flitted forward, and then moved. Before he could react he was bitten in his side, and immediately went about shaking his body, trying to get the thing off of him as he reached round at the same time, aiming to attack the other pokemon with his harsh tongue.

It never occurred to Fang that Kame might try to sway him over to his side of things. The male didn't believe he'd ever be persuaded, and he wouldn't be happy with the boy for trying if he ever realized that that was what he was up to. Really, Kame was the exact type of person in every way that Fang would never even allow near him for the most part, but for some odd reason instead, he was the male's only friend. It made absolutely no sense, and Fang had given up trying to explain it. All he knew was for some reason, even when the guy annoyed him, the male still liked being around Kame.
Fang couldn't help but be distracted by those ridiculous noises that Kame was making, and as such glanced quickly over at him, sparing a second to roll his eyes at the boy's actions. Half the time the guy embarrassed the hell out of Fang, and yet for some reason he stuck around him. He knew it didn't reflect on him, but it surely brought up questions in people's minds about why they were even in the same vicinity as each other.
Turning back to the battle, he was in time to see Growlithe's Bite attack land a hard blow as he sunk his teeth into the Seviper's body. The black pokemon immediately began to thrash in an attempt to fling him off, but Growlithe held firm, until the Seviper's tongue slammed against his body, knocking him free.
"Again!" Fang shouted, even as the pokemon landed on its feet and leapt forward, "Aim higher!"
Growlithe leapt to attack a second time, aiming for the top of Seviper's neck, near its head, in order to avoid being attacked by its tongue a second time.

Kame was well aware that he was special in the sense that Fang liked him, even though considering his personality he shouldn't. A part of him hoped this was because Fang liked him more than a friend, but when Kame really thought about it he knew he was just getting his hopes up. But that was fine because he was just happy being his friend for now. Everything would be fine as long as Fang never got any girlfriends, as Kame was sure that he would get rather jealous. He wanted them to always spend their time together, and not with anyone else.
His pale blue eyes watched as Fang and Growlithe fought against the Seviper. Kame himself was not entirely interested in battles, or getting Gym badges, so he was quite happy letting Fang take this one. He on the other hand was very much liking the little pink pokemon in his arms - it was so adorable!
Seviper was ready for the bite attack this time, and sweved it's body out of the way just in time, immediately striking back and them around the Growlithe in an attempt to wrap itself around the orange and black pokemon, in order to strangle it.

Saying that Kame was getting his hopes up over Fang liking him as more than a friend would most certainly outrank everything as the understatement of the year by a million miles. The male wasn't homophobic and he didn't hate people like that, he simply didn't wish any of their attention on him in that manner. He was not prejudice, just very uncomfortable with the idea when it involved him, and preferred to stay far, far away from it, which was difficult considering who his only friend was.
Fang had wondered several times why Kame was coming along with him on this trip. He didn't like battling, and the male was setting out to become a powerful trainer, which involved a lot of that. He supposed the guy just didn't want him leaving, as like he himself had no other friends, Kame's social circle was focused mostly on him as well. He didn't mind the boy coming along though at all. In fact, he was kind of glad that he had, although he'd never tell him that.
"Growlithe, watch out!" But it was too late. Seviper got part of its body around the smaller pokemon, and constricted, "You've got to get free before it gets anymore of its body around you!" He called. The fire type struggled in the larger pokemon's grasp, incapable of freeing itself, until it suddenly turned, and aimed a small stream of fire at the snake's face.

Kame was just hopeful is all, though he did know deep down that Fang would never change his mind about his sexuality. Kame could still ho0pe though. Really though he was ecstatic that he got to spend time with Fang, and spending time with him was better than nothing, even though he would always hope for more. Fang was his only friend now, and he felt safe when he was near him, which helped. The male was always ill, and fragile but being able to talk to Fang always made him feel better. He was going on this journey to prove that he didn't always need someone looking after him, but also because he wanted to be near his best friend. He didn't want Fang to leave him.
His blue eyes were watching the older boy as he and his Growlithe battled the fierce Seviper, while Pichu watched from atop his head. He still held the small pink pokemon in his arms but his attention was on the battle, though he stood a few feet away, so to not be in any danger.
The Seviper was under the belief that this battle was going to be a piece of cake, and as such wasted no time in tightening it's body, ready to crush the Growlithe beneath it. It was taken by surprise however when there was suddenly fire in it's fire, and the snake pokemon released the other pokemon instantly, as it began to thrash about and hissing in pain as the ember attack caused a burn to inflict pain and damage.

Although Fang was well ware of Kame's sexual preference, sometimes he wondered if it was different than he assumed due to the way the male acted around his mother. He knew it was all for fun - or at least he seriously hoped it was, as sometimes it was rather unclear - but he couldn't help but wonder what would happen if his mother seriously returned the boy's affections. That would seriously creep the male out. He didn't know if Kame would be interested, and he had absolutely no intention whatsoever to ask him about it.
Fang smirked as Growlithe released the fire, burning the snake directly in the face. The smaller pokemon landed on its feet, wincing slightly at the impact. Its sides were a tad bit sore from the constriction of the Seviper's body, but it was still clearly raring to go, "Quick Growlithe, get ahold of it now. Use Bite!" The pokemon leapt forward, aiming to grab ahold of the Seviper up toward his head at the top of his neck.
"Use Ember if you get a hold!" The male called, intending to inflict another burn atop the bite wound if Growlithe was capable of catching hold.

Personally there were times when Kame liked both males and females, though he preferred males. With Fang's mum it was just fun, but he was somewhat attracted to her, or he would never flirt with her to begin with. Flirting just came naturally to the male, but he supposed his brother could be blamed for that - Kariyu was a ladies man and Kame had always spent all his time with him until the male moved away to live with his now deceased wife. The boy never really thought about his actions however, as it was just instinct to do what he did.
"Go Fang and Growlith! Our heroes!" He cheered, almost in a teasing manner. He never meant to embaress Fang, but he always ended up doing it anyway. Good thing that no-one else was around.
The Seviper was clearly in pain from the effects of the flame that it did not see Growlithe coming around. A moment later it could feel a set of sharp teeth inbedded in its neck, and instantly jissed and thrashed wildly in its attempts to throw its attacker off. He was weakened however, and it was acting brainlessly now.

Fang really didn't know who or what Kame liked exactly, nor would he ever dream of asking. He had absolutely no intention of ever bringing up the subject in any way, shape, or form. He was more than happy to leave it lie with his knowledge that the boy was attracted to males. He didn't mind being in the dark about the specifics of his sexuality. The only reason he even knew the guy was gay was because he'd seen him flirt with other guys, and of course come on to him. There were other, smaller telltale signs, but he'd certainly never asked, nor would he ever.
Fang rolled his eyes at Kame's exclamation, but kept his attention focused on the battle otherwise, although he very much wanted to turn and glare at his friend. What was it with him and embarrassing him? He was lucky no one else was around, or he'd of had to sick Growlithe on him after they were done with their battle against the other pokemon. He didn't know if the boy did this intentionally, but he had a knack for embarrassing Fang.
Growlithe held on tight as its jaws closed strongly around the Seviper's neck. It timed its chance to let go with one of the pokemon's wild thrashes, and therefore was able to land cleanly on his feet. The moment he did, Fang snatched a pokeball from his belt and threw it at the Seviper. The snake like pokemon was both powerful and cool. He definitely wanted to catch it and make it a new addition to his team.
