Information not already provided to you can be found here in the form of Questions and Answers. Questions asked me that I have not answered will also be added here.
Q: What is the setting and time period?
A: This is set in a new land called the Star Region. Things are present day, with all of the new and latest pokemon technology.
Q: Am I allowed to have my character from a different region?
A: Yes.
Q: Do I have to go through each route and town in order?
A: No, but we recommend it if you're a trainer who is just starting out and wish to take part in the full experience of the journey. But you are allowed to post anywhere.
Q: What Pokemon are here/what games?
A: We allow everyone from Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed and LeafGreen, Diamond, and Pearl. Nothing after this.
Q: Not the Unova region?
A: Not at the moment, but it's likely we'll begin by giving those pokemon away as prizes, and soon integrate them fully into the region.
Q: What if a Gym Leader has not yet been claimed, but I'm at that gym?
A: Whomever you're roleplaying with should play the gym leader for you.
Q: Can my breeder character get their own farm?
A: Yes. If you would like your own farm, please create a new thread in the Farmland board in the Outskirts category. Be sure to read the information that is provided for you in that thread. It will be stickied.
Q: Do the pokemon have extra abilities like in the games?
A: Yes. What we mean are things like Ghastly's Levitate, which makes it so Ground type attacks won't work on it. If you want to know what ability your pokemon has, check Serebii. If there's more than one listed, pick only one.
Q: How do I evolve Feebas (and other pokemon of this kind) here?
A: Just buy it a Heartscale, or whatever item it is that it typically needs to be traded with/holding when it reaches a certain level.
Q: If I play a Gym Leader/Elite Four Member, can my pokemon not level up?
A: When you play one of these canons you're allowed a gym team of a certain number of pokemon, and a personal team of the typical maximum of 6 pokemon. Your personal team pokemon may continue to level up, but your gym team pokemon remain the same level.
Q: If I play a Gym Leader/Elite Four Member, can I catch new pokemon?
A: Yes, you may. If they are of higher/lower level than the range for your gym team they can be used for your personal team, but if they're of a level within' range you can substitute them for team pokemon if you want at any point.
Q: If I'm making a breeder/civilian and I'm choosing their first 2 pokemon, do they have to be pre-evolution even at level 20, or can they have evolved?
A: They can have evolved.
Q: Does my display name have to be in all caps, or lower case, or anything like that?
A: No, you may do your name however you'd like. You may also have it as whatever you'd like, although we prefer it to be the name of your character. It is REQUIRED if you're playing a canon.
Q: Why do the Elite Four members each have different types of pokemon in their team, instead of just one kind?
A: We all know how easy the Elite Four can be to beat if we have pokemon of equal/higher level that have moves that are super-effective. I beat the entire Elite Four in SS with just my lvl 70 Mewtwo. Which is why Star Region's Elite 4 members have a variety of types of pokemon on their team; to make it more difficult, and more interesting.
Q: Why isn't there a Star Region champion?
A: Star Region is a new land. It only became livable a mere 100 years ago. The lab, gyms, and elite four all came later, each one a couple of years after the former. It took a while before even the gyms were built, let alone had challengers. There simply has yet to be someone who has successfully defeated all the gyms and the Elite 4. The first to do so, will be the first Star Region Champion.
Q: Can pokemon speak?
A: A character's first pokemon - their starter pokemon - is capable of speech. The pokeballs these pokemon were stored in from birth are made with minute traces of soil from around where the meteor sits in Lunar City, granting them the unique ability of speech. If, however, you DO NOT want your pokemon to be able to speak, you need only assert that they were never put into one of these special pokeballs. NO other pokemon - with the exception of psychics, who can communicate telepathically - are capable of speech.
