First Appearance! Who Is This Man?! (Open/Battle)

Nox watched the simultaneous events angrily. The bolt of lightning struck Magmortar, driving it to its knees. It stood back up again, though, and with a nod in its direction, the Magmortar spun and began to battle on its own. His Pokemon were trained to be able to battle on their own, in case of any multiple opponent situations. He was glad for that now. Magmortar let out a roar, and then fired a Flame Burst in the direction of the Gym Leader's, for Nox saw that that was who he was, Amphy. Not waiting to see if the attack hit or not, the Magmortar then came flying forward, using Fire Punch. Nox nodded, seeing that his Pokemon could handle itself for the time being. He looked at his Scolipede now, so he could examine its situation.

The Aerodactyl, despite being momentarily confused, had managed to hang onto Scolipede, but only with one taloned foot. Scolipede wormed her way out of the single claw and fell about three yards to the ground. The Pokemon let out a cry of pain, but then shook it off and spun to face the Aerodactyl, which was now up in the air. "Scolipede, use Venoshock, and then take matters into your own hands!" bellowed Nox. The large Pokemon turned and called its agreement to its master, and then spun to look up at the Aerodactyl. The attack shot a type of bug-lightning. Although it wasn't a lightning type move, it was still ranged, and therefore, the only attack Scolipede had that could reach the Aerodactyl. A burst of green lightning shot up at the enemy, and Nox turned away, confident that his Pokemon could handle the rest on its own.

Now his gaze was upon Blaziken, which had come under attack without even making a move to join the battle. No matter. Things would still go his way. He'd assume direct control of Blaziken for his battle, simply because him and Blaziken were far more in tune in the midst of a battle when they worked together. The twin Ice Beams shot towards the Blaziken. One of the Pokemon was a Smoochum, and appeared to be much weaker than Blaziken. The other was a Lapras, and not only did it have a type advantage on Blaziken, but it appeared to be more powerful. Their first choice of attack, however, wasn't exactly a good one. They had both used Ice Beam, and Blaziken was a Fire Type. Nox smiled for a moment, but then concentrated on the battle again. It was time to show them all just how powerful his starter was.

"Blaziken, time for a bit of a show! Use Bulk Up!" Nox commanded. Blaziken nodded at his Trainer, and then brought his hands before him. Immediately, there was a small blast of energy. Blaziken's body seemed to have grown a bit, his muscles growing taut and larger beneath his skin. Nox grinned, and then moved onto the next attack. "Now! Get through that attack to them with this attack! Use Blaze Kick!" commanded Nox. It was time for the real battle to begin. Blaziken roared, and then leaped forward, leg extended into a kick. His foot suddenly burst into powerful flames, the heat reaching Nox even from his position. The blazing foot met the two Ice Beams head on, and for a moment, it looked like Blaziken would be pushed back. However, instead, he broke through, although with a flinch. It had damaged him a bit. Now, Blaziken shot towards the Lapras and Smoochum. Nox found himself hoping that the Smoochum would go down. Another Pokemon besides the Lapras, no matter the different in power level, against only Blaziken would become a nuisance.

The opponent attempted to pull of a doulbe attack scheme, though the performance to do so was incredibly simple. It just seemed like wasted energy to Eight.

Getting close to the opponent in a generaly straight line: even more wasted energy.

As much as he resented the idea of letting his scaling equipment getting damaged, it would be the best way to perform his next choice of action. "Electroweb. Large scale."

With that order, Tik's tiny maw would gnaw and churn together a thicket of electricity threads. With a mighty hack, the blob would be launched at the oncoming Buizel. As it flew, the shapeless mass of energy swiftly outstretching and expanding into a full octogonal net structure, just more than a yard and a half long and wide. The net was planned to meet its target halfway between the two combating Pokemon.

Around half of the stars, widespread as they may be, would pass through the small holes of the Electroweb and continue to impact the Joltik, while the remainder of them would be shattered from the net's electrical power. If the net was to hit the Buizel, the extra mass of the netting would wrap around the Pokemon, completely veiling and slowing it with damaging electricity.

With its own Swift surrounding it, the Buizel would have few option for dodging the net without receiving damage from the surrounding stars.

Eight stared on at the opponent with hawk eyes. As simple as the strategy was, the boy's plan would have helped protect him against some possible oncoming attacks. He wasn't an amatuer, but he might be able to beat the agent's biological climbing gear.
