Name: Siobhan Lü Zhewen
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Straight
Status: Trainer
• On The Outside Looking In •
Hair: Long, black and straight. It reaches her waist, and is often left untied. When she does tie it, however, she braids it loosely but neatly.
Eyes: Brown.
Scars/Markings: The only thing of note is that she had broken her left arm before, and is quite afraid of breaking it again. There are no obvious physical marks -- it's more of a general behavioural trait that she favours her left arm a lot.
General Appearance:
She's a rather short girl for her age. Siobhan's not exactly Irish, as her name suggests; in fact, she is very much Asian. Being of a slim build, Siobhan appears to be the usual petite type, but she is quite capable of fending for herself in a fistfight. There are muscles built up from long hours of working with the courier company: cleaning cages and docking bays, delivering packages on foot, tumbling with Pokémon -- oh, maybe not that last one. She has especially long legs, and is both good at sprinting and long-distance running. And dodging, too. You need pretty good reflexes to survive in the messy, disorganised, constantly-changing environment of a post office.
She usually dresses sensibly enough. Siobhan likes skirts, though she realises that they do not seem to be acceptable, or indeed decent, clothing for a flying courier. As a result of that, she has settled on a variety of loose jeans. Durable, warm and easy to maintain; what more could one want? She is partial to zip-up jackets, especially those which are tight at the wrists but loose elsewhere, and are capable of keeping a person warm. Below those, she tends to wear any suitable T-shirt she can find for that day. She doesn't have any special trinkets or pendants, or indeed much jewellery at all.
At the end of the day, what you see of Siobhan if you just met her on the street would be a young foreign girl exuding a quiet sort of grace. Nothing that immediately grabs your attention; but at the same time, a feeling that she is not quite like the others.
• There's More Than Meets The Eye •
Likes:
Flying; being useful/on task; languages; learning about how things work; finding friends in unlikely places; carrots and celery (who would've thought?) but not broccoli; soft pillows; cold air; rocky shores; petting zoos (oh, such wonderful Ponytas they have!); convenience; yellow, orange and maybe a dash of soft peach pink.
Dislikes:
Insects/Bug-types; rude people; broccoli; untidy rooms; late work; falling and breaking an arm, therefore being unable to do anything for the longest time ever; obstacles; sudden occurrences which may set back her progress; things that demand a lot of time or energy, and yet do not give much back in return (read: fashionable clothes); too-bright sunshine.
Strengths:
Sure of herself and her goals; independent; optimistic, and therefore will get going even if the going gets tough; good at mathematics (now, how does that even help?); will see a dream through to completion, no matter what it takes (if that dream is important enough, that is).
Weaknesses:
Indecisive when faced with split-second decisions; lacking the ambition to pursue a high position; may not be proactive enough when faced with new situations; can take offence a bit too easily, at times; on occasion, rash.
Personality:
+ Confident
Yes, Siobhan's a very confident person. She is generally secure in her knowledge that she can indeed do what she has set out to do. This confidence gives her the ability to think of long-term goals and plan ahead, thinking out her career path. She's not good at making decisions on the spot, since she prefers to have sufficient information before she makes a choice -- and also because she knows she might follow a whimsical thought and thus make a wrong decision. In any case, she knows her own strengths and weaknesses pretty well.
+ Quiet
Siobhan does not like to speak her mind. Yes, she knows that she has made judgments and inferences. But no, she prefers not to share them, if only because she likes to see if others think the same. It is less of a wish to conform than a wish not to create dissent -- she likes harmony. Besides, she thinks that she can always learn more from listening to other people.
+ Good-natured
Despite all appearances to the contrary, she is actually a very optimistic person. Siobhan believes that the next day will always bring something amazing with it; she's not the kind of person easily given to despair. She likes to think that just beyond the horizon, something good is always waiting for her!
+ Steadily hardworking
Slow and steady wins the race, Siobhan thinks, but definitely not without hard work and effort. She doesn't mind taking things a bit slowly, as long as what needs to be done gets done, and done well. She's not the sort of person who rushes through her work; however, she is not very tolerant of tardiness, and will make sure that however slow her progress is, she meets the deadline, either set by herself or by some other authority.
+ Impulsive
Actually, most of the time, Siobhan makes her decisions beforehand. She rarely manages to surprise herself; when she does, it is usually not a good sign. Take this journey, for example. Two days after she made her decision, she was already regretting it: it seemed nothing more than a childish whim to defy a nonexistent authority. But what's done is done, and she has learnt her mistake to curb her impulses.
+ Graceful
Perhaps this is not a personality trait per se, but she is known for being innately graceful. Call it upbringing, situational awareness, or just plain talent: Siobhan simply manages to avoid tripping over, dropping, or breaking things. Therefore, her breaking her left arm came rather as a surprise, both to her family and herself. A momentary carelessness, Siobhan insists to this day.
• I Am What I Own •
Items: Backpack. A collection of hair ties, in case she loses one or two over the course of her journey. A well-worn old map, marked with tags like "imported dairy products here" and "visit every Monday afternoon (3 PM) for reports". Phone, for easy communication with her family.

• How I Became Who I Am •
Family:
Father: John Lü Mother: Alice Roanheart
Elder sister: Saoirse Lü Xiesha Younger brother: Cianan Lü Jinan
History:
Although Siobhan looks foreign, she is actually a native born in Star Region; in fact, her entire nuclear family is. Her great-grandfather had been an entrepreneurial man, setting up a small shop on the shores of Star Region which finally grew into a flourishing business. The company was passed down through the family, all the way into her father's hands, soon to be given to her brother.
One thing of note is that apart from her mother, her entire family is made up of immigrants from the same region her great-grandfather came from. Her parents had met in Lunar City a few decades ago. Her mother is a highly independent woman who certainly knows her own mind; she was the owner of a company somewhere down the production line, and knew that if the two companies merged, it would bring greater benefit to all. It didn't hurt that it had been pretty much love at first sight for the two of them, either. A few years after they were married, they had their first daughter: Saoirse.
Apart from being a rather independent woman, Alice appeared to be quite eccentric as well. In fact, "Hell-bent on making our lives miserable with all these weird names" would be a better term, according to Saoirse. In any case, disappointed that his first child is a daughter, John (and Alice) swiftly got on task to produce two more children -- stopping only when Cianan was born. Since his birth, he had been singled out for special treatment -- he was to inherit the company, after all. Alice didn't quite agree with the traditional mindset that women were useless, and at her insistence, all three of them were sent to school. Siobhan, one year younger than Saoirse and one year older, in turn, than Cianan, spent a rather happy childhood in school.
Her dream was not to be the CEO of a company, or to become a Pokemon trainer, really; she just loved the thought of flight. Once, when she was young, her siblings shared their ambitions: Cianan wanted to inherit the company from their father, and Saoirse thought she might become a nurse. When Siobhan declared that she wanted to work as a flying courier, she was met with incredulous remarks. "Women can't do that," Cianan had scoffed. "It's too hard for them!" Even her sister agreed. Ambitions momentarily crushed, Siobhan focused on her studies for the next year or so, but her dreams of flight still remained.
When she was eleven, Siobhan had a chance for an attachment with any local company to learn how they worked. Everyone expected her to sign up with her parents, but when news came of a post-office-esque outfit that mainly operated with flying Pokémon, Siobhan jumped at that chance. She learned a number of skills during that time -- most importantly, she had an opportunity to work with Flying-types. The experience only served to make her more sure that she was meant to fly.
All did not go well, sadly. When she graduated at thirteen and applied to work as a courier for that company, they told her that she couldn't possibly be serious. "Flying is a very demanding job, you know," the supervisor had told her kindly. "Most of our couriers have at least, what, four gym badges. Maybe you could become a clerk instead?" Infuriated, Siobhan went to the nearest Pokémon Centre and filled up a form that declared her intentions of becoming a trainer. Within days, she started regretting it, but a cancellation meant that some sums of money had to be paid, and her parents weren't keen on that. In the end, the trainer card arrived in the mail, and Siobhan made up her mind: she would take this chance to prove that she was good enough to work as a courier -- a flying one, no less.
Other:
- Her surname may be spelled as "Lv", should the browser be unable to render the u-umlaut. - She is fiercely proud of her name. What do you mean that it's hard to pronounce, hard to spell, and sounds too masculine? - She broke her arm running down a flight of stairs in school. The less said of the incident the better, thinks Siobhan.
