The poor, flailing pokemon realized the danger too late as one of its flailing legs was stepped on by the huge creature. There wasn't a crack, thankfully, when the foot came down. At least the major part of the numel's... ermm... hoof(?) was off it, only the end actually having stepped on the thin limb. But Ito cringed as he knew it would be really painful and would probably cause the small pokemon to bruise. The eyes of the bird widened and a high pitched wailing filled the air as the pain filled its leg. Closing its eyes, it felt a power build up in it that it didn't even know it had. Taking a big breath in, the fire in its mouth grew and it spit out baseball sized fireballs in rapid succession.
Ito knew the attack wouldn't be effective, being used against another fire-type, but he was impressed at the size of the embers. He'd heard about this special ability... blaze. The fireballs continued streaming from the Torchick's mouth for two seconds longer before it completely ran out of steam. It looked at the Numel for a moment, wondering how he was doing before falling onto its back. It was funny, but the only hit the Numel had was an accident. The Torchic had totally exhausted itself with all the running and attacks that by time it put its whole being behind the Ember, it had totally exhausted itself. The pokemon lay on its back, spirals replacing its eyes as a small "ii~ii~ii~ii~ii~ii~ii~iii~iii~iic~" could be heard from its open mouth, still breathing a little heavy after its work out. Ito sighed with a smirk. Well, looked like Torchic was out for the count. He'd done very well on his first battle, The Torchic would definatly sleep well tonight, proud of his accomplishments.
"Well, I guess I lost!" Ito laughed, bringing a hand up to scratch behind his head. "Guess we'll just have to work harder so we can win next time!"
