The water was very calm today... almost completely stagnant. Laura folded out a small, blue deckchair next to the edge of the water, making sure to put it on a wooden area rather than the sand, otherwise, it would either sink into the sand or wash out into the water. And she really couldn't be bothered going to get it or trying to exert energy trying to get it out of the sand. She sighed and flipped open her mobile phone, dialing her brother's number as fast as she could in frustration.
"Oi! Where are you?" she roared at the speaker.
"Uh...um... hehe... I'm not comng today.."
"WHY NOT!?"
"...Um...b-because I'm a little busy"
"BUSY DOING WH-!?" Laura then realized what he meant and a disgusted expression spread over her face, pressing the button to end the call. Damn my brother's girlfriend, she isn't even that could looking. she thought, stomping over to the deckchair.
She sighed and flipped the cell phone shut, stuffing it angrily into her pocket and turning to the surface of the water. She grabbed her fishing pole and bait, attaching the small block of... whatever it was... and then stretching slightly before sliding into the deckchair. Her brother had taught her about the elements of fishing and she was determined to get something on this try, even if it wasn't something she could use... it was a pride thing.
She glared at the moving liquid pool of blue before her, almost trying to will a prize up from the bottom of the water. She dropped a Pokeball out of her hand, releasing her Prinplup. She then stood, throwing the line out into the water, watching it bob up and down for a second before sticking the handle of the fishing pole into thr ground next to the deckchair.
"Prinplup, could you warn me when the fishing pole catches something, I'm going for a little nap"
"Prin, Prin"
"Thanks"
Laura then slid back into the deckchair, going into a reclining position and shutting her eyes, drifting off into a dream about a cardboard box with a neverending supply of hammers and nails.
